John Travolta has had a remarkable career with his portrayals of so many different personalities. Michael shows yet another facet of his talent. Michael is a tongue-in-cheek portrayal of the Archangel Michael. The Archangel Michael is a warrior, ready to battle evil in every form. The Michael portrayed by the movie, is an aging Archangel, visiting earth for what is to be his last time. Michael decides to use this last visit to earth, to do and see as much of the human experience as possible in one trip. His methods may seem a bit peculiar, but his angelic goodness is nevertheless evident in every escapade, from the beginning of the movie to the end of Michael's story. Michael is a "feel good" movie that also conveys the following truths - we all have stories to tell, we have more extraordinary talents than we know, goodness and truth will free you from your fears, and most importantly, love is all around us. Michael is one of my favorite movies.

I bought this dvd shortly after my wife and I saw the movie on one of the movie channels in our premium packages. We did see it once before, years ago and it just slipped our minds. I tried, without any luck, to find it on blu-ray, since we rarely buy dvds anymore. We purchased the movie for a fair price and watched it all over again. Truth be told, if it ever comes out on blu-ray, I'll buy it again.

An excellent movie. I enjoyed watching it and will enjoy it many more times in the future. A nice combination of a good message and fun antics of an angel with a sense of humor!

No one but Travolta could have pulled it off. Perfect casting!

Good movie , heartwarming story, imaginative and refreshing

Beware, this is an old transfer, and is in fullscreen (4:3), NOT the theatrical widescreen presentation. The only reason for having this version is if you have an old "tube" type TV and want the picture to fill the screen. I returned it. There is a newer transfer (in widescreen) available. Look for the version that says "Warner Archive" on the boxart. That is the version most buyers are going to want.

This is a very good movie and it tells a great story.
