Not good for messaging or call but works great for fitness apps

The battery dies within 6 hours, the heart rate monitor hasn't been able to detect my heart rate since purchase! I do not suggest this watch!

I’ve been wanting to get a smartwatch for a while now but have been reluctant to purchase one because I wasn’t sure how much use I would get out of it. I’m a long time Google user and was hoping they would release a watch this year, which didn’t happen. I figured this Michael Kors watch would with the Wear OS by Google would be the next best thing. The watch comes securely packaged in a well constructed white watch box with a clear plastic window. I like that the box can be used to store the watch when not being used and isn’t just another piece of cardboard to be recycled. The watch also comes with a magnetic USB charging cable, quick start guide and owner’s manual. The owner’s manual does not contain any actual instructions though so if you have questions you will need to Google it. The watch does not come with a charger however any USB charging port will work. Set up was a breeze and connecting to my Google accounts was simple. The watch face and tiles are all customizable with a decent selection of apps and functions available. I’m still tinkering and learning new things as I go. The watch functionality is intuitive however I have had to Google a few things and having an instruction booklet included would have been appreciated. I really like the design and feel of this watch. It looks great and I’m happy to put it on in the morning. I’m not normally a watch person, I have a few but rarely wear them because they are usually uncomfortable. The watch band on the Michael Kors watch is made of rubber and is very comfortable to wear, after wearing it daily for two weeks now, I’ve gotten completely used to it and actually look forward to putting it on in the morning. I’ve gotten so much more use out of this watch than I had expected. With my Google accounts connected I get all my notifications quickly and within sight on my wrist. I love being able to have quick access to my email, calendar and text messages. I can easily see who is texting with just a glance rather than having to pull my phone out. I also like the fitness tracking features and they are actually encouraging me to monitor things like my heart rate and how active I am every day. It’s a helpful step in the right direction for me and I look forward to using it more to help reach my fitness goals. The charging cable is magnetic and very easy to use. It connects by itself when you place the backside of the watch on the charger. I’ve been using my watch daily and find myself with about 5% - 15% battery left each night before going to bed. There is some lag to this watch when navigating some of the menus and settings. Some setting options can take a few seconds to open, leaving you with a blank screen while you wait. It’s a little annoying and hopefully doesn’t get worse over time. I’ve also had some issues recently with the Google assistant alerting me that there was a problem and to check my wi-fi settings. This has only started in the past few days, only while I’m at home and only after bringing a Google Home Mini and a Google enabled alarm clock into my house. It might have something to do with that, but I’m still investigating. I’m pretty happy with this watch and am glad to have finally gotten a smartwatch. I love the look and feel of the watch and am satisfied with the functionality. I like having the Google assistant on here but I wish the Wear OS app offered more features. The watch-face is the perfect size for me and I really like being able to customize the appearance.

This watch is slow compared to the fossil gen 5 with the same specs

I think that most of my gripes with this watch are down to the WearOS limitations which is to say that the watch itself is a pretty sleek and nice looking design but the software just needs a little more. Notifications seem pretty fluid, and responding to them with voice text or works pretty well. There's often some lag in swiping between screens. There are several basic functional things missing such as the ability to flip the orientation of the watch face. If I prefer the buttons on the physical side of the watch to be on the left instead of the right there is no built in option to flip the face to match. A 3rd party app will do the job just fine but that drains the battery much faster. Which is another thing. I've had a Fitbit Blaze before and it would go around 3 days without needing to be charged. While this watch is significantly more advanced with more features, I still expect it to last at LEAST the full day and several days it did not. I will admit that I didn't spend much time tweaking the settings or running in low power mode however. I figure if I'm going to use a smartwatch I want to USE a smartwatch and not spend all my time disabling and enabling features to preserve battery. Relative to competing smartwatches this one is pretty competitively priced so all in all I'd say a decent purchase if you don't want to invest in one of the nicer, more expensive ones.

Michael Kors watch will not work , have been to 2 different Best Buys and no one can get the watch to connect, Called Michael Kors help line on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected, Will take it back to Best buy this weekend.

This item is completely useless, I still have to use my phone to do everything. I prefer the Samsung Smartwatch better at least I can make calls on that one without having to do it on my phone.
