I figured I could also use one of the subscriptions (up to 5 devices) for myself as my subscription was expiring. It would not let me even though I bought it because, they said, we didn't have the same IP address. So for me, it was a waste.

Total Rip Off

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft now forces you to pay every year for their software and the only choices are 1 user or 6 ... how many people do you know who have six computers in their house! I used to think paying over $200 for the software was high but at least you got periodic updates and could nurse it for 4-5 years over the life of your computer. NO MORE. If I didn't despise Apple so much I would be tempted to switch to a Mac computer but they are even worse. Two of the richest companies in the world just want to squeeze every penny they can out of you. Our society has some real inequalities and moral issues.

We appreciate your review. We wanted to let you know that the 1 or 6 users doesn't mean computers. It means the number or users that share all the benefits of your subscription. That means each use can install Office on multiple devices, access their own 1TB of Cloud OneDrive storage as well as the many other benefits of Office 365 Home.
If you choose the 1 user option, you can still install Office on multiple devices and access your files by logging into your Microsoft Account on the devices.
