Customers admire the Band Smartwatch (Medium) for its sleep tracking capabilities, comfort, affordability, and accurate heart rate monitoring. However, they express concerns about its short battery life, bulky design, and the fact that the screen scratches easily.

Pros: Lots of great information (workout detail, weather, heart rate, and much more). Like that it syncs with most phones. Love the text, phone, and email notifications. I don't have to go searching through my pocket to see what the info is right away (especially at work).
Cons: Battery Life (not more than 2 days - I get sometimes less as I use the GPS part for running), a bit bulky at first (I got used to it)

I find it a great add-on to my Windows phone. I am able to get my e-mails, texts, phone call notifications, etc and not miss them when I am not near my phone. You do have to be in Bluetooth range, so opposite ends of the house doesn't work, but most of the areas I go work great. Also nice to have the weather, pedometer, etc right there.

So far so good. I have had it a month, and no problems to date. It has already been updated 3 times and seems to get better with each update. I love the GPS tracking for my runs and bike rides, and I am about to try one of the workouts. The heart rate monitor seems pretty accurate. My only beef is with comfort, that is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. Its not that bad, but it could be more comfortable.

I got this Microsoft band about 3 weeks now. Very good if you have a windows phone, you can reply to text by keyboard or cortana, email etc. .. pretty good for the price if you get it on sale. Will not pay $199.99 price tag. The screen does scratch easly also I have to factory reset the band 3 times in the 3 weeks i had it. Don't know why sometimes it just won't reconnect back to my phone's bluetooth.

I bought the Medium when it was offered on Best Buy's Deal of the Day and arranged to pick it up at my local store. I'm glad I did because, even though it meant opening the box, Best Buy let me try it on first. The medium was such a tight fit they let me trade it for a Large. (It would be a good idea if they had the different sizes available just to try on). btw...I consider myself to be just average in size...I'm not fat and I'm not skinny...I really thought the Medium would fit.

Well, my son is a bit inattentive to charging his, so frequently he has to exercise without it. But the rest of us are intrigued by watching our sleep patterns display, by seeing our general fitness level rise, and the changes in our running pace and the GPS tracking of our workouts (though it is amusing to see one GPS dot for the days I use the treadmill). Unobtrusive and comfortable, the Band has urged all of us to greater fitness over the last month and we expect that this will continue. Bonus: use the Band to pay at Starbucks, mid-walk!

I gave 4 stars because the charging band stopped working (charging) after about 6 weeks. I ordered another one. It is great for step counts, heart rates, sleep quality, receiving texts (but can't sending them from an IPhone), workout calories, etc. It's comfortable and easy to pair with my phone.

I purchased this as option that was cheaper than I watch . So far I love the quick look at text notifications email and phone calls. Great for a workplace that doesn't want phones out. It vibrates different for each type of notification. I have found that the sleep recoding and vibrating have helped my sleep patterns. I do think that a windows phone would probably have better apps to pair with. But for Apple it does plenty

Fantastic device. Guided workouts are the most underrated feature, they are awesome. Smartphone integration is fantastic and battery life is also good. I like that I can wear this and still wear my watch on the other hand. Works with ios android and windows phone and the web app is great. This is the must have fitness device!!

Better than a lot but still not perfect

Good product overall - better than comparative items but has a few flaws:
1) battery life and indication- once gps is turned on, the battery runs out very quickly. Sometimes Without any warning signal.
2) the glass / plastic is scratched rather easily - one and a half months and already plenty of small scratches
3) the gps turn-on function can be weird - like "search for gps- gps locked - turn on the tracking" why do you need to activate and confirm each of these steps with a button? If you are already cycling, it's rather inconvenient...
Overall still better than alternatives.

I got this watch because I wanted something a little more than a Fitbit but not an actual Android watch. I absolutely love this product! At first it took a minute for the band to break in and conform to my wrist. but after a few days its like its not even there! Microsoft has given us SmartWatch with great battery life but not too much Tech to make it a gaudy SmartWatch! Yes it does last two days with normal use. I would highly recommend for fitness and casual SmartWatch use. There is a lot of fun apps that you can use to customize to watch too!!

This is a nice band. It does everything it said it will do. I have a small wrist and it looks bulky on my wrist. I purchased this band because a friend of mine has this band. I wear it everyday to track my activity. The downside to this band is that it is not stylish. I wear business causal to work and the band looks out of place when I am at work.

Replacing my Fitbit flex, while the software on any device is a little lacking in features and especially the social aspect the sensors and information the device gives is much more helpful than the Fitbit flex I had and it is nice to get text messages/emails/and other notifications straight to my wrist. Also Watch mode is very helpful during the day to keep me from pulling out my phone.

I purchased this band because it was the only one that I could find that had a GPS without being a big honking watch. So far it has worked as advertised.

I was looking for something to replace my 2 year old Fitbit Flex when this first came out. But availability was limited for a while, so I had to put off the purchase. I now have finally gotten one and I am very happy with it! I had looked at other options, but this seems to do so much more that some of the other "wearabales" that cost more than the Band. (The only thing I wish it did more was track elevation, like flights of stairs and such.) But the way it interacts with your phone, alerting you to texts, emails and calls is great, along with tracking your activity. And add to that Cortana, if you have a Windows Phone the choice is obvious.

I bought this for her birthday in may 2015. It has changed her life. She is always checking to make sure she has met her goal. The text and call notification helps her at work because she never even takes her phone out of her purse. She has recently changed her sleeping habits since the watch told her when she sleeping and in deep sleep. I recommend this to everyone especially if you have windows phone because it works well with cortana. This is just like other smart watches but offers unique tweets for windows.

A very nice Smart Watch, but be aware that it may not have much expansion in terms of useful apps. If you need something that will allow you to turn off Bluetooth while still monitoring heart rate, steps, exercise and some other quick features, it's good.

I'm a power walker, not a runner and a tech savvy guy. I wanted something to see messages while at mtgs and to track my fitness, this does that plus more. I use it for weather reports although they don't seem to update as freq as they should, provides a calendar, alerts, messages, emails....can rearrange and add tiles.....the only issue is, its a little bulky and it isn't water proof. I have several friends w/ different versions of the fitbit and I like this better.

Works well, comfortable to wear and easy to use. Apps are being developed every day to take advantage of the many functions of the Band. Well worth it.
