As an activity tracker the Microsoft band can't be beat at this price. The only drawback I have found is the somewhat clunky feel of it.

Really impressed with the Band beats my broken FitBit Charge by a long shot in that it does phone calls, text, emails and other notifications besides being a great fitness wearble. Plus has a color display, works with all phones, heart rate, UV, calendar, GPS, works with various sports -running, biking, cycling, and golf. Oh and what it costs less too!!! Amazing!!!

For a band that is slightly better than Fitbit, it is a bit pricey. But it delivers on its promise. Highly accurate as well.

Heart rate monitor is way off. when i'm working out it claims to be at 150-175 bpm when I'm really no where near that. Aside from heart rate issues it's great for $70.

Have used this with both an iPhone 6 and a Nokia lumia 929. The band had far more usability with the noki but is still a great wearable for the iPhone. People who say it is uncomfortable are not giving it a week to break in. I forget I am wearing it after 3 weeks of wearing it.

Many features and easy to use

The band is very complete with all features that one can expect from a wearable device even if connected with a tablet instead of a phone. I am not particularly worried about data accuracy but the global trends of daily use and find sleep tracking, steps and calories simple to use and understand. Calendar reminders, weather information and messages are also a handy feature if a phone or PC is not at hand. The only issue is the flat screen that makes it not too comfortable to wear for a M size. For a S size, the band screen is probably larger than the wrist and I would not recommend it.

I Wear this all the time, can't stand it to not make my daily step goal, find myself pacing around the house to get to the goal. Love the built in GPS for tracking my "Runs" . Not too sure about the sleep accuracy but gives you some idea of if you are actually resting well.

So far I love this band. It's a smart-watch and fitness tracker. Considering how much these devices are going for 200 wasn't bad for what you get. You can upload workout plans to it also which is nice! I got this and I use an iPhone 5S so it's functionality is somewhat limited but still pretty good. I can get text messages and other alerts on the band and in addition to that I use it as a sleep tracker. Only downside I have found so far is it's step counter... the accelerometer picks up a lot of motions that aren't steps so I don't really trust it's accuracy in this regard. Everything else though is top notch! P.S... Get a screen protector for this!!! It'll get scratched up super fast otherwise.

I always wanted a Microsoft Band since they day it came out but wasn't willing to dish out the $200. I kept looking for fitness trackers/smart watches and always came back to this one even though I don't own a Windows phone and my electronic devices are from Apple. For a while I even got myself a Pebble but always wished it had the ability to track my runs and sleep. I got one during the Black Friday sale and now i'm kicking myself for not getting it earlier or not getting the new version. I've noticed that my sleep has improved better and have no one else to blame but myself when I don't get enough sleep. The band is bulky and does take a while to get used to, maybe 2 or 3 days. Battery lasts a two days. It'll last you one day if you track your sleep and go for a run. It'll most likely die as you're tacking your second night of sleep. I like it so much that I have a hard time trying to figure out when to charge it because I don't like to be without it. I know these will be hard to find now but grab one if you see one or get the new version.

Heart rate monitor works well in that in between range, but can be questionable at high beats per min. Sleep tracker is a nice application. The Band app works well on my iPhone, with the occasional sync issue; it also works with 3rd party apps as well, which is nice. I did have a problem with the touch screen, but with some leg work Microsoft replaced the unit with what appears to be a factory refurbishment. Overall I am happy with the purchase, and at this point would consider the Band 2 at a later date.

At first glance the Microsoft Band seems like it is better than the competition, but after a couple days i ended up returning mine. It was nice having texts and calls go to my watch; i wasnt constantly checking my phone (which is quite liberating). However, if you plan to use this as a fitness device, you might want to wait until an improved version comes out. First, the battery life was dismal. The disclaimer reads that it can last two days before charging it. Dont get me wrong, i had no illusions that having the gps and other fitness options turned on would last two days. However, i did think it would last more than 5 hours. 5 hours? What a joke. Second, the gps wasnt that great either. It took 15-20 min to locate a satellite. And it was way off on the mileage ( i consulted a map). Like i said, this is a great idea, but poorly executed. Perhaps version 3 or 4 will be the device that satisfies my needs.

Got this item during a recent sale. Very happy with the performance and meets my needs and expectations I would test all the functionalities over the next few days, but very happy with the purchase so far. Should be a good start if you are new to wearable technology products

Yes it's clunky looking (like a prison bracelet) but it's got a lot going for it. Good battery life with minimal charging, a very nice sleep monitor and a superb built-in GPS. The Apple Watch costs more and offers less (and I'm an Apple fan). The pulse checker can be wonky at times, particularly once my arm get sweaty, but that's not really as valuable to me as the components that I really like. It's also nice to get a quick preview of texts and phone calls to see if I want to grab my phone to answer/respond. Overall I think it's a win. A second generation product with a curved OLED screen will be even better.

I have found the Band easy to use and the GPS is accurate as compared to the phone GPS I have used. I have not compared the heart rate monitor to a standard chest strap model, but believe it is accurate also.
