My buddy and I got one at the same time and we play strictly online together. It's clear sound and is a solid build. The only concern I have is the adapter that's connected to the headset that is required to plug into the controller; it just seems like it might not last long with a very thin cord and not a lot of support at the base of the cord. I keep pressing the mute button by mistake but I think it's because I'm used to the PS4 controller. Time will tell how durable this headset is. Either way, it's inexpensive and sounds great.

This headset is average, it is good fitting but won't last for a couple years, it is a shorter term unit. Still a good deal for the money.

This is a good headset for a beginner or someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I rated this a 4 of 5 because with the better headsets comes elements this headset just can compare to. Again, good headset for the money.

Good Headset for The Division and other RPG's

I purchased this headset in order to do multiplayer on the Xbox One in The Division. It feels cheap but has held up for months thus far, though I did pay the extra couple bucks for Geek Squad insurance at Best Buy so that I can replace it later in the year if it falls apart. The mute button is a nice feature because its placed next to the volume controls on a unit that attaches to your Xbox One controller. Note that for this reason it is not compatible with Xbox 360, nor is it compatible with many of the corded Xbox One controllers (like I have the Star Wars Xbox One controller which this headset does not work on). It will work with your Xbox One standard wireless controller that came with the unit when purchased. To be clear, this is a headset and not also earphones, the audio still comes from your television and you can only hear other players via the headset. This is nice in The Division because you can also hear other players not in your group that are in the Dark Zone and have conversations with them etc because of the proximity audio feature in that game that functions if using a headset like this one.

Definitely an improvement from Microsoft headsets of the past. Friends hear me clearly and I can hear them just as fine. The left side of the headset/headband can become irritating after a few hours of play since it can dig into your head. The mute button on the base of the headset pad is a quick and easily accessible feature, especially those moments you want to scream obscenities into the mic at your useless teammates, because, you know-I'm better than all of you.

The sound quality is pretty good and the mic works well. The problem is the headset is not very big, even fully extended. So all in all it's pretty uncomfortable.

I just can't see spending $65 - $199 on a headset when you can get this one for under $20.00. It works great and when it breaks (and they all do) it's less than 20 bucks for a new one.

This headphone and mic is actually way better than the one that came with the xbox360. I deducted one star since it should have come with the xbox one. The sound is very crisp and the mic works well.

Didn't want to spend big money so thought I'd give this headset a try. Works well for the money. I read reviews saying it breaks easily and I can see how that happens so am just being careful.

Still the best from the OEM. I love this headset because you can still hear the sounds of your TV (with an open ear) while chatting with your party. I’m only giving it 4 stars because they do break fairly often.

This headset is perfect, it provides deep rich stereo amazing sound and you have the ability to balance the game sounds and voice chat with your friends for perfect immersion. It's not only great for playing games, but you can enjoy watching movies without disturbing others. All of the sound can be heard through the headset, just mute your stereo or HDTV and you can still enjoy rich gameplay.

These work good for awhile, but they will need to be replaced soon. You will need to purchase a more high dollar headset if you want it to last.

I was looking for a headset to use so I could still hear my speakers. I have a lot into my atmos 5.2.4 speaker system and want to use it, but every chat headset seems to be based around using the headphones for the sound. This works perfect for my needs - everyone sounds clear and they say I do too. I could see people having issues if they were to mistreat it - sit on it, throw it, step on it, etc. it doesn’t seem like it would be able to withstand that abuse. But for what I need, it’s perfect.

My boys love this headset... They said it's not bulky. With the one side open they can hear me calling them and the other they can hear the other gamers talking. So it's a win win situation.
