Almost identical to a regular Xbox Series controller, a very solid and comfortable controller. With this controller specifically, however, you get different grips on the handles, which have a dimpled leathery material on the back that’s significantly better than the grip on the other controllers. The design is great as well, it has a nice color combination that looks like color dust thrown across the controller that gives it the fun and loose feel of the Horizon games. The transparency on the face of the controller is great too, and it’s a first on official Xbox controllers. They even painted some parts in the interior, like making the vibration rocker pink, to highlight it further. The controller also comes with exclusive in game DLC for the game, but it’s not worth buying the controller just for it, it’s more like a nice bonus. Finally, if you’re a fan of the Horizon series or Xbox, this is a must have for the styling and exclusivity, I love it.

The pictures online give you something of a sense of it, but it's hard to describe how cool it looks in person. This is one of my favorite controllers of all time. A cool detail is that the translucent plastic on the left handle lets you see the rumble motor spin. The model itself is mostly the standard Xbox Series controller, which is a good thing. Super comfortable, responsive controls, fully compatible with Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Windows (over both Bluetooth and USB). The one slight tweak in the mold is that this controller has rubberized grips rather than hard plastic like the standard one that comes with the console.

What a great controller! My favorite feature is the leather grips! I’ve always been weird about my hands feeling oily and greasy, so I am constantly wiping my stock XBSX controller. The first day I heard about Microsoft debuting a Forza Horizon 5 controller, I had to preorder one. The fact it comes with adhesive leather pads that cover the controller’s handheld for sweaty and oily hands was a no-brainer! The ONLY reason I’m rating 4 stars is that my controller's D-Pad (right button) feels like it’s mashed in and doesn’t want to click when pressed down. Secondly, my left trigger doesn’t sound premium like when I press down on the left trigger. However, I still LOVE my new Forza Horizon 5 special edition XBSX controller. I need to contact either Geek Squad or Microsoft/Xbox to see how I can get my controller repaired…only issue is I can’t get a new one in exchange bc they made only so many of the controllers, and it’s not like I can get a swap out. I do not wish to get a new regular controller; I rather them repair this one UNLESS they have just enough of these controllers for exchange in case of warrant/repair issues. Beautiful controller with a great splash of color. Not overly annoying with words all over like many game specific controllers. Really well done design by the folks at Xbox.

I really wish I could give it 5 stars as I really like this controller it’s one of my favorites next to the 20th anniversary edition. The reason I gave it 3 stars regardless of how much I like it the quality isn’t there for my controller, the main problem is the Xbox button has to be pressed hard or the button press won’t register. Also the right trigger has a slight squeak and the left thumb stick sounded like it had dust but I have since fixed the thumb stick. Regardless I still use it regularly but the Xbox button does get on my nerves after a while of the press not registering. The clear yellow case is amazing and a lot more see through than the 20th anniversary edition & the soft black grip mimics a sports car steering wheel it’s the most comfortable grip I’ve tried on any controller. You can’t go wrong purchasing this controller just double check your controller for quality control.

Love the transparent parts and the lights in it. The rubber grips are amazing and necessary. Makes it the best controller I have across all of my consoles. VERY important to download the Xbox Controller Update app to get the latest firmware on it. It was disconnecting bluetooth randomly when I started using it. Getting the bonus car for Forza Horizon 5 was nice, but is not a reason to get this controller, though it does help with the premium price.

Microsoft has been outdoing themselves with their limited edition controller designs for years, and this is no exception. This Forza Horizon 5 controller is vibrant with its translucent yellow + paint splattered design. And it’s even got unique hand grips on the undersides of the controller meant to evoke the feeling of a racing wheel. If you’re not planning on getting a racing wheel, this is the next best thing for Forza!

Probably one of the best looking controller to date imo. This controller has some major grips on the back! I haven’t seen them used on any other controller. So with that being said with the premium design, and the new materials used for the grips, this one is worth the price!

The controller is fantastic, I'm rating this as 1-star to attract more attention as I've come across a SERIOUS ISSUE with these controllers. If you bought this controller to use with PC (in my case, using a cable), there is a chance your system will continuously crash due to buggy controller firmware. This is fixable. I had recently built a new PC, and the crashes were behaving as if I had a faulty graphics card (in this market, the thought of that is horrifying). Event Viewer would report dwm.exe crashing, even after uninstalling/downgrading graphics drivers. Note that this would only occur when the controller was connected to my PC. As it turns out, these controllers ship with bad firmware that needs to be updated to stop the crashes. To do this, connect your controller to your PC using a USB cable. Grab the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store and update your controller's firmware. I hope this solution helps anybody out as I was about to RMA my RTX 3070 because of this. Besides the hours of research to fix this problem, the controller is solidly built, comfortable, and visually stunning. The vibration motors make more noise than I expected, but it's not too noticeable using my headset. My heart sank when I dropped it, but the scuff mark easily rubbed off and there is no damage at all. This is the best controller I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

Being a Forza Fan I knew I needed this controller. I prefer playing with an Elite controller but figured if I am going to use a standard controller this is the way to go. The rubber grips ad a huge advantage over the standard issue ones. The look of it is pretty sweet too.
