Bought this product so I can stream movies and shows to my flat screen tv. 1080p looks great and easy to use. Found that it works best using split screen to give the highest quality pic from tablet to HD TV. I was spending $6 per week on movies at redbox now i have been using this product solely and already saved myself more in the cost of movie rentals than the adapter cord cost. Well worth it. Great for presentations as well: PowerPoint, word, etc.

I use this cable to watch movies from my surface on my tv or do spreadsheets and other documents on a bigger tv screen. It doesnt transfer the audio over to the tv but i use my speakers to make it louder. Works for the Surface 2 Rt. You will need to buy or have a HDMI cable to complete the connection over to the tv or whatever you are using

Bought this so that we could watch a movie on the TV in our hotel. Very simple to use and small enough to not take up too much room in smaller bags or cases for your Surface.

Easy to connect Surface to HDTV (and other devices). Small form factor of tablet and use of this adapter makes it much easier to carry around and display digital content.

I loved how I could use a input on my television as a designated "computer channel". This adapter is very well constructed and transfers the best quality picture.

Looked For a way to play Netflix on my dads TV. He has a Surface 2 with the Netflix app, and this cable does the trick.

I bought this cable so I could connect my Surface Pro 3 to HDTV and it works great. As soon as I plug the AV adapter to my TV's HDMI cable the TV picks it up and it automatically shows on the TV screen.

my only complaint is when you run certain websites it tells me its not supported

This product certainly has the high quality that you expect from Microsoft's surface line of products. I'm sure there's cheaper adapters out there but I certainly do enjoy the look and feel of it. Now I originally bought this for my Surface Pro 2 tablet. I must not have read the package carefully enough. Because this cable will NOT fit into a Pro. As I suspected this is for the RT model. So, I gave it to my younger sibling, who has the Surface RT, and it worked just fine. Next time I'll learn to read the box better. Other than that it's a great adapter that goes well with the look of Microsoft's surface line.

The price for this wire adaptor is way too expensive. The downside of it is that every time you plug it in to the TV you have to redirect the sound to the TV speakers which is just an added step vs plug in and go.

Had to return it as it AZ not compatible with my surface pro 3. why is it not universal with all Microsoft products? disappointed as the adapter for the Surface pro 3 was $20 more

Did the job for connecting the Surface RT tablet to the TV.

I bought this for the Pro Surface 3, and it works just fine.

I bought this to watch movies on my big screen, it costs more than it should, but it works as advertised. A little quirky set up on the Surface, but not the products fault.

Buyer beware, when purchasing this item that you have the correct one as the surface 2 has the mini usb port and the surface pro 2 has the standard usb hub (larger). The incorrect cable can damage your usb port so KNOW what style port your device has..
