All meeting rooms in every office have VGA cables so this makes it easy to use the Surface Pro 3 there.

Let's face it, I'd always prefer an OEM product than a third-party product. But seriously, there's other products out there that do the same thing for less money. 4-Stars for being too costly.

This converter worked great to expand my screen to a larger viewing platform. May take some time to get resolution settings adjusted.

Not sure if this works in Windows 10 as of Dec build - it has been pure frustration trying to get it to work - no real instructions on troubleshooting if it fails to pair - works Win 7 WiDi, don't know about Win 8x as the platform doesn't suit my needs. With this one, it either works or you kind of have to know what you are doing. I get that this is still new grounds in many ways, but I expected the computer/laptop hardware to be the limiting factor, not the display fix - all of this should pair up and work, no excuses. Having said, it's a great working solution for Intel WiDi laptop win 7 to Microsoft WDA screen presentation/projector kit

Bought one of these so I can use my new Surface Pro 3 to drive VGA monitors and projectors. Flawless! Including having the adapter have a bevel in the plug so that it fits in to accommodate the Surface's outer case. Great little product and not a total rip-off. I've used it so far with multiple monitors, several TV's and plenty of projectors.

Purchased item to use with my Surface Pro 3. Makes work possible when connecting to some other monitor and projection devices.

Does what it should. I hooked my MAC to a projector with this adapter cable and it did exactly what it was wired to do.

Required for my users to connect to the projector in the conference room with there Surface, works great.

I have tried this with a projector, a bigger screen, and the TV. All of them worked just fine.

had to get this adapter to hook up to projectors that have not been upgraded to digital.

So easy to get my second monitor set up. Just plugged it in and it worked immediately.

Exact same plug as the one with the unit. Love having a backup cord at work.

Seems a bit expensive for what you're getting, especially when you look at non-Microsoft versions that can connect to HDMI, DVI, or VGA instead of just VGA for quite a bit less money. Got this version because I needed it and it was easily available from Best Buy but would rather have the more flexible version.
