Purchased to have second one for travel. Works as it should, expensive for what it is.

We bought our son a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 when he started high school, and to his credit, he has maintained the computer well. When he reported that his original charger was no longer working, I bought this replacement charger. It works seamlessly with the older tablet. We are thankful that Best Buy offers and Microsoft makes replacement accessories so that we need not buy entirely new hardware.

Sure you get one for free with the surface pro but get a second one to have at home!! I use my surface in the road all the time. That means I’m plugging in all over the place to charge. I was tired of having to get under my desk at home to plug in so I got a second charger. Now I have one that’s always ready and another for travel. The way it should be!

Has a USB port on it. Easy to travel with. Doesnt add much weight

It plugs in effortlessly. Very expensive component.

We had to replace the charger for my daughter’s computer and this was the only one that would work. My only complaint is that it is so much more expensive than the other chargers for other devices.

Works perfectly easy to use, could be a little cheaper though

Just like proprietary Apple chargers, it works fine, but for some reason they never last for more than a year. Apple chargers have always aggravated me, and I thought Microsoft would do better. Not so, this charger is expensive to replace and will eventually fail. The weak link in all computer devices it seems has become the charger.

I purchased the 44W upgrade, after the one the came with the laptop seemed to run hot all the time. Love my laptop - have struggled a bit with the power cord - could have been my surge protector was too old, so replaced it when I purchased the new cord. Thank you for all your help Geek Squad/Best Buy!

Glad Best Buy stocks replacement parts for most computers they sell and service. I bought this original equipment adapter for my office so I wouldn’t have to shuttle a power supply to and from home. Paid retail price but was assured that it would be fully compatible with my Surface Pro.

I’ve had to replace this thing twice now, and they cost around $60-$80 depending on the sale at the time. The last one broke at the one year, 3 months mark. They have a one year warranty. The power cord would be fine, but the angle at which it plugs into the computer while it’s being used almost guarantees that you’ll end up with a short. After that, you either replace the cord at a ridiculous price or you have a worthless computer since you can’t use it if you can’t charge it. Problem is, I really like the Surface Pro, but Microsoft has to know that this is an issue, yet it has yet to be addressed as far as I can tell.

My original power cable went out after a year, just like other reviews stated. Reason for 4 stars is $80 for a replacement is extremely high, especially when you know microsoft is making them for a couple bucks.

I like how the charger is magnet-based, and it works well with surface products as it was specifically designed for them. However, I do think it would benefit from being longer as well as a bit more sturdy - I find that the portion going from the adapter to the charging port is quite fragile and this part breaks the most easily (especially at the portions where it bends away from insertion points both into the laptop and the adapter). Given how expensive these things are, it’s really annoying having to buy one of these every year because the same part keeps breaking!

Works like the original one I bought this to have a second pair for my office so I don’t have to take a whole bunch of stuff to and from school. It works great I highly recommend this product if you ever lose yours or want to keep another one in a different location

The product provides the same form, fit and function as my original adapter. However, at a cost of $80 I paid a premium for those qualities. If under different circumstances at the time of purchase, I would have purchased a generic brand because of the cost of the product.

Me want to buy thing to get power into new Surface Pro 4. Best Buy man say, "Unga bunga, here you go, power thing for you computer thing." Me buy the thing and take home and stick end of thing into other thing. Glowy thing light up on power string part. It pretty. Me go watch Cake Wars on the magic box. When me come back, Surface Pro 4 have power in it! So, if you wants the power in your things, get this stuff. It work for me, it work for you.

It is an expensive power adapter but it works. I have had issues with several 3rd party adapters that seem to break down quickly and stop working. This is a genuine microsoft surface adapter and will work for what you need it to.

Just what the doctor ordered. I was always without between work and home. I then had an epiphany and resolved the issue by purchasing spare. Now I have a better attitude and can only wish the internet was that easy. Beyond happy about decision. Cheers!!!

Easy to put together & attach to port for recharging laptop battery. Charges quickly, both when laptop is in use or when shut down. Plugs securely into outlet & rests unobtrusively nearby. Overall, a good power adapter to own and use.

We lost an adapter and nothing is better than the original. Great to see Best Buy had one in stock and we could pick it up right away. The Surface Pro adapters are unique and work well, just don't leave them on a plane...
