I had to return 2 of them so far - first for the battery dying too soon and the other for the mouse pointer freezing. As far as customer service from Best Buy, I would rate them a 5+ for all their help and professionalism.

My wife loved this Surface but 2 weeks after the warranty ran out it stopped accepting a charge. Microsoft Store said it couldn't be fixed but they would sell her a refurbished one. What a total disappointment

The computer is ok. It was purchased to replace a PC. The Surface was not quite as good as I expected, but it does do more than an IPad. The touch screen does not work as well as the IPad though. It is hard to use.

I wanted to be more impressed with this surface book. However, windows 10 has some glaring bugs. Also, the surface has an issue with sleep mode. It occasionally does not sleep when closed, draining batter and get hots.

I am addressing hardware only. Not sure if power button defective, but every couple days I had problems turning it on. After 4 weeks it wouldn't turn on at all for me. Best buy was nice enough to give me a new one.

too many bugs for this pricey of a computer. tablet did not eject and a new one was exchanged. Windows 10 has a lot of bugs as well. Still working to fix the computer rather than getting to use it. Microsoft does not provide the best customer service and they charge way too much.

Though the Surface Book does have the added bonus of a touch screen, we still returned it to exchange for a MacBook. We just did not like Windows.

Would have expected more from the laptop at the price point given. The laptop functions as it supposed to, but is sometimes slow to response.

If you don't use it away from a plug in it is fine. Battery life is not good at all, returned and bought the surface book.

Pre-ordered in early October, but Microsoft jacked it up, and by the time I was able to rectify the situation, I was looking at the end of December before I'd get one. So I waited until some of the local Best Buys got then in store last week, and was able to pick up the only Surface Book they had in stock. First off, it's a gorgeous device, screen is brilliant, and the aesthetic design is everything I had hoped it would be. Track pad has worked great, have had no issues whatsoever. All of the basic functions have worked without any hiccups. And it's fast, blazing fast. I have yet to do any heavy lifting with it, but will update this review after the weekend. So far....love it!!! One other thing, the customer service at the Best Buy in Eagan, MN was tremendous. My last experience at Best Buy Mall of America was terrible. I had purchased a 70 inch 4k television and less than 2 months later I inquired about exchanging it. Not a refund, not a return, simply wanted a store credit so I could drop another $2k ON TOP of that, and get the 80 inch 4k. The 2 employees in the Magnolia Center were incredibly insulting. And honestly, the availability of the Surface Book was the only reason I went in, but the good customer service renewed my faith in them.

Probably one of the best laptops I've owned. Have always gone with Dell and more recently Lenovo (no problems with either) but the Surface Book really does it all. The versatility of the detachable screen and various configurations is truly unique. The resolution is amazing. The stylus just enhances the laptops functionality. Processor is fast and the battery life is the best I've experienced. It's a winner!

Loses charge quickly. Has orientation problem and touchscreen issues.
