Does everything I need and more. The only issue is the price. The surfacebook is unique but not enough to justify the price

The Surface Book 3 is pretty much the ultimate Windows-powered mobile device. With an advanced magnetic locking system for the keyboard base, powerful graphics processor, dual 1080p cameras and a brilliant near-4K display, this is an innovative, excellent detachable laptop. This machine has a lot of computing power considering it's a 2-in-1 laptop. I got the optional surface dock 2 with it for the extra usb-c and gigabit ethernet ports. I'm an IT engineer and won't usually settle for less than the best.

I bought this laptop for use in a demanding Computer Science curriculum, and I know it will serve me well. The build quality is incredible and feels as sleek as it should for the price point. More importantly, I got this laptop because of the amazing 2-in-1 functionality, which allows me to easily and comfortably take notes with a Surface Pen (sold separately). My only complaints would be the price, as forking over $2,500 was not easy, and the processing power, which is far from top-of-the-line.

Was Ali to start, pair Surface pen and get Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite installed and running with no problem.

Despite the similar design as the Book 2, this is a much different beast. I particularly like being able to pull the tablet and read or browse on the couch. The aspect ratio is a little different from other laptops but for me it helps elongate documents I'm reading or working on. Believe after this purchase we are in fact a Surface family since we also have the Surface Pro7.

Well, $3k is a lot of money-- but for the past couple of months I have not had any problems. I run adobe suite, rhino, GIS on it pretty much every day and it takes it all well. It's a bit big-- really nice for working at a desk but just a little cumbersome to take to a coffee shop. I love that I can detach the screen and read/highlight my PDF's in bed as if I were holding a giant kindle.

Great computer if you know what you need. Long battery life and great for productivity.

I really enjoy this laptop. The only downside is the battery life. I still need to play with the settings to see if I can improve them.. but I feel like after an hour of using it without it being plugged in I'm down to 50% battery life left on each of my batteries. So if you're planning on working remotely without a power source you may want to get a different laptop.. especially for this price tag.

I have had the smaller version of the Microsoft - Surface all through High School. Decided I wanted to upgrade for college. I invested in this model and I am confident that it will last me through 4 years of college. Worth investing in a model that will last! I love the detachable screen and touch screen!

As a 4th year Ph.D. student, I was looking to upgrade my computer. I'm also preparing to teach a course online this summer and wanted to be able to write notes/problems for students while sharing my screen. I am excited by what this device has to offer!

I loved surface book. Surface book 3 works great and note taking using with Surface pen (sold separately) becomes a necessity! It looks pretty much the same as it’s predecessor except for the added ventilation on the top of keyboard. I guess it would help reduce the heat while laying it on your lap. I wish it comes with Windows 10 Pro instead of Windows 10 Home.
