Easy to set up. No real learning curve to deal with. Was fairly intuitive. I bought this as a lightweight travel computer to take on projects; I am very pleased. It is much lighter than my previous and has sufficient power and storage to deal with my stuff. I bought the keyboard/cover separately and am pleased that the two items function well together without any aggravation.

Perfect for travel. I just need a little bigger screen for my aging eyes so I bought a 7+. Surface 9 was way too big.

I had high hopes that this small, agile device would continue the great combination of productivity, form factor, and security that is ear marked by Surface Go product line. Although Windows 11 looks great on it, the experience is not faster, nor do key programs work efficiently together (Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams, and any of the streaming music services). The black design is great except build quality is poor - visible dents on the back of the product and the kickstand make creaking-clicking sounds when it is opened. Even with a BestBuy sale and discounts on the pen and type cover, for about $700, I feel overspent for an under performing experience. Missed my expectations for a 3rd generation product.

Got this Surface Go 3 for my wife for everyday usage. Small and can fit in mid-size purses to easily carry around with you. Light weight and very durable. Battery life however can be improved. Otherwise, highly recommended for something small but still powerful enough for everyday needs.

The surface go 3 is great for consuming web content and watching videos/streaming content. It's small form factor is a plus when it comes to portability. Screen is fine, plenty bright and good color. The speakers are good for a tablet. The tablet comes with Windows on S mode, which means you can only use apps from the Microsoft store. You can however change this in the settings and turn this mode off, this giving you access to any program a PC can run. That being said, this is not a desktop replacement. It will not handle demanding/intensive tasks, though it was not built for that. You would need to start looking at the beefier options above this range. There is a 64GB/4GB option available. I have used this more striped down version and can't recommend it. Windows alone eats up close to half the 64GB'S of storage. Plus 4GB of RAM is painfully too small. I believe this model only exists so MS could hit a target price point, but honestly it shouldn't exist. It is slow, laggy, and an overall bad experience. Modern Windows was never meant to run on 8GB of RAM or less. Do yourself a favor, if you want the surface go 3, get the 128/8 model, you'll be glad you did.

A mini–Surface Pro 7

Enjoyable to work with. Ideal for someone who already has the Surface ecosystem. I have the Surface Pro (5) & Pro 7, Surface Dock and Surface Dock 2 to plug into Desktop environment. Various chargers for car and travel along with USB-C dongles for expansion. Along comes the Surface Go 3 - i3 with 128 SD and 256 expansion card and it makes for the perfect travel\couch tablet\work related computer. I have read the reviews stating that it can't do real work and they are wrong. I have the same software programs installed on it as I do on the Pro 7 and they all work fine. Some critics try to compare the Go 3 with high end products. Most reviewers fail to recognize the Go 3 is a special form factor. It is the perfect size for sitting on the easy chair or travel. For example, I use the Nikon NX studio and Nikon Transfer 2 to transfer pictures from the camera to the Go 3. It doesn't stop there. I don't use Photoshop since I like the Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher programs better and they do everything Photoshop does. They work with no slow down on this "small" tablet\big computer especially when connected to the surface doc 2 and large screen, keyboard and mouse. The Surface Pen also works nicely on this tablet while resting lightly on your lap. Yes, it's true that each type of computer has its pluses and minuses. But that is why it is so important for the buyer to read any given review through their own eyes of what they are going to use it for. Some have a bias against a certain company or they try to compare apples to oranges and make them all apples. If you are buying one computer and want it to do everything then the Go 3 is not the one. However, if it is going to be used to supplement what you already have then the additional usage it brings to the table is well worth it. To be honest, I like having the Go 3 on my lap more than the Pro 7. Since the programs I use require Windows the Go 3 is much better for me to have on hand than an Android tablet or even and iPad. Bottom line: consider the computer ecosystem you have, the programs you require and then decide. But don't let a so-called higher critic make that decision for you. I am retired now, but I used to work as a Network administrator, we had hundreds of computers, servers etc. Depending on the need, some computers had to have more processing power than others. With that in mind I have no qualms about recommending the Surface Go 3 Intel Core i3 8 GB memory - 128 GB SSD. You can start your work on the Surface Pro 7 and then continue smoothly, if you so desire, on the Go 3. I also have the Lenova Yoga Tab 11 and while it is good for what it does (it is cheaper) but if you need more options then don't hesitate to make the plunge and get the Go 3. The build quality is on par with the Pro 7 (It is like having a mini-pro 7. It is a pleasure to use.

I tried the base processor and faster processor they are both great, however for a multitasker just spend the extra hundred dollars for the faster processor. It allowed me to have multiple windows open. Have applications run in the back ground and I even downgraded the system to windows 10 and it showed the same results. As for the lower end processor it very sluggish with 2 or more windows and applications have to wait till the cpu catches up which takes a supple minutes.

It is slow because it's an I3, but I wanted a computer with a 10.5 screen and is lightweight. This computer has both things I wanted.

I bought this to replace the android tablet that was slowing down, and I wanted a Windows version. So far I like the touchscreen and the functions of the apps and site I visit. The screen size is right for viewing information and videos. The battery lasts for a while, and I assume it's due to be fairly new. The only issue is that I want to install Chrome, but it won't do so directly. But the tablet does the job I need, and I hope it will perform well for a while.

This is an excellent Windows 11 computer that is so small and portable. It has the Intel Core i3, which makes all the difference (and I have never paid attention to processors). With a touch screen, too. For what this is, you can't do better.

Great little computer/tablet. I'm a little disappointed that more apps can't be downloaded. Microsoft led us to believe that W11 would allow us to access the Android Play store. Not the case. We have to go through the Amazon store to access a limited number of apps unless you want to jump through a third party program which could screw up your computer.
The unit itself is very nice. You definitely need the keyboad (sold separately from this model) to do any type of computing.
Make sure that you shop around to make sure that you're getting the best price.

I have had my Surface Go 3, core i3 model for 1 month now. I initially bought this device as a 2nd PC to use at home, mostly watching You Tube, and for a travel device,
Since I got the Go 3 I haven't used my Asus laptop at all! Because most of what I do is now through the browser I haven't had any issues using the tablet docked. I even bought the expensive MS Surface Dock 2 a few weeks ago.
I use it for paying bills and working on Office 360 docs. It's so nice that this tablet is a full PC, my printer and other peripherals just work with it, Unlike an Android tablet, Chromebook, and especially an iPad.
Windows 11 is not a great touch OS, but I get by just fine. The Go 3 is small enough I use it as a tablet more often than I did the Surface Pro I had a few years ago. The pen is nice I have colored with it and it came in really handy recently signing some documents. I also think the Go 3 works better on your lap than the larger Surface models because it's not so long that the kickstand falls off your knees. That said the design work best on a table. Since it's so small and light portability is excellent.
Surfac devices can be pricey but the display quality and sharpness is really good, I don't mind the smaller screen even in Excel. My Go 3 has much louder and fuller audio than my laptop. The design of the kickstand, SD card slot, and build quality make it feel worth the price. I do wish it had 256gb of ssd storage, but I use OneDrive and a 250gb SD card. So far I am still in S mode.
Lastly, once you experience it, there is something so nice about a completely silent fan-less PC. As a home PC and media consumption device I highly recommend it.

Really impressed with the capacity of this unit being small and running so smoothly I installed all the Adobe apps and impressively they run great! I got to get a micro sd card for extra storage! I wouldn't recommend this laptop as a primary regardless that it can run anything, great device for portability, great resolution very pleased with my purchased
