I am extremely unhappy with this laptop. Two days ago I put the computer to sleep and put it inside my bag and went home. One hour later, when I took it out of my bag, the laptop was overheating and I was lucky that it did not catch fire inside my car. As a result, the speakers have stopped working completely. This happened about seven weeks after I bought it. I will never purchase anything from Microsoft again.

Literally the worst computer ever. I bought it in August for my daughter for college as suggested by beat buy representative and it has been a nightmare. The computer will not hold a charge, had to return to Microsoft in October because Best Buy would not return even though they were aware that it was a hardware issue. We had to buy an additional charger because the one sent with product would not work. To date it still continues to not hold a charge, I had to buy my daughter another laptop for school within 3 months after having spent $1300 on the surface 3 pro. BUYER BEWARE .. this is a terrible computer!

This laptop gets extremely hot within minutes from turning on… Also soooooo loud, would not recommend

Okay laptop but I've had to format it a few times due to memory corruption. I might have gotten a dud and am actually in the process of getting it RMA-ed.

The charger broke after only two weeks and so we had to order another online. Not happy about that. I’ve had $200 chrome books chargers last forever.

Disappointed with this computer! I told the sales clerk that I'm not tech savy, I did not know this was Microsoft, I'm use to google

not there yet. some programs won't run on battery, could be just this one - I don't know. Like the concept

Bought this one for college but it gets glichy after 1 week of use. Not recommend

Good laptop. It just didn’t fit my needs. I decided to return and get something else.

My laptop is suddenly shut down twice while I am still using it, what’s wrong with the power system?

Purchased as an open box item and within 2 months I have had to get it fixed twice. When I got it, the audio didn't work, so it had to be shipped out to get fixed. About a month later, it would not finish updating, so I had to pay $200 to get it fixed, and now it's slow when I try to open Google.

I purchased this item for my wife. She rarely used it. We used it for a year and 2 month. Geek squad told me it would be to expensive to repair and that Microsoft controlled the repair. I was told to throw it away and purchase something else. I'm out $900 and no new laptop. We dug out her 5 year old HP laptop and updated it and we r back up and running. I wasn't going to waste my money on another laptop. Shame on micrsoft for not helping us out for an apparent issue with microsoft. I wish i could rate it lower. I also have geek squad protection but didnt help in this case. Maybe someone else knows what i can do with this non working new laptop

Leasing program is great but product not working correctly now after only a week.

Needs to improve processor in order to interact with apps. Windows creates viruses.

It good laptop runs smooth but the battery life is horrible

The fan kicks on randomly and it's extremely loud. Was not expecting this from such an expensive laptop.

The screen freezes randomly or goes black. It's done it about 7 times since I've owned it. The only way I can get it to function is to do a hard reset. By the way, I'm writing this review not even 24 hours after owning it. I installed all the updates and even ran that diagnostic tool microsoft recommends. I learned about the tool because there were multiple complaints for the same issue on microsoft's forum. None of it works. Definitely taking this back.

I loved the surface 3 but the screen freezes were so aggravating, I mean 4 times in 30 minutes, come on, that’s just not right. The Geek Squad had no suggestions so I ended up returning and buying a Mac Air instead. I wanted to love it.
