By far the best laptop that I have ever owned. Honestly my choice came down to this or a Mac. Macs are great but you will pay a truckload of shiny pennies for one. The Surface Pro will do just about everything the Mac will do and do it for two thirds the price. My brand new black metal Surface Pro 4 looks every bit the snappy work accessory that every professional needs to turn heads and impress employers. Mine does that every day.

I write this review as an AVID microsoft fan, and old DOS guy. I picked up this laptop for audio and video editing, amongst other routing productivity tasks. This computer has beautiful graphics, I like a lot of Windows 11's new features. The speakers are great, the battery life has been surprising to me. I changed the setting to battery saver after 50% depleted, I have been very pleased with its battery life. To be honest, the most important thing to me with any tech purchase is that there are no bugs, I hate bugs. I had an old iPhone 11 that had plagued me for years with issues, and I will never look at tech the same way. Bugs that shouldn't be there, and that you grow accustomed to, I hate those bugs. This computer has a few. Bluetooth range sucks, I walk into my adjacent living room, it starts disconnecting (I use airpods pro). I have an hp envy work laptop that lets me go all the way out to my driveway or backyard shed before fluttering. The aesthetics/design of the laptop is great, but when I pick the laptop up by a corner of the base/keyboard, with one hand, it eerily creeks and sounds like the joists in a 100-year-old house. I understand the lightweight, yet extremely durable casing materials are to blame, and serve their purpose respectively, but this is something I can't quite get over. Also video playback has at least a 5 second lag when paused for over 15-20 seconds. I think this may only be with Bluetooth, but is extremely frustrating when trying to flip between an instructional video and the application (as I am perfecting my Adobe Premiere skills). I think I fell into the trap of a computer that had all the aesthetics going on, but really lacks functionality and testing. Also, no thunderbolt ports even with the intel CPU is disappointing. I will say, that unless Microsoft concentrate on the testing and functionality a little bit more, I will probably be turning to other manufactures for future laptops.

Works well. The only 15 in laptop besides an Apple that has a centered (no numeric keypad) keyboard. It is a quite a bit heavier due to the touch screen compared to the Samsung laptop (no touch screen) I had prior (that is no longer available).

I have use this laptop for college. I have use it for my freshman year and it has honestly been great. It is always reliable has good battery life and it has a good build quality. I’d honestly recommend to anybody who needs a every day laptop. There are different price builds with varying components with this being the higher end one and honestly you couldn’t go wrong with any of the various models.

This laptop is pricey but worth it. Battery life is insane and will last more than 8 hours. The i7 is insanely fast and could multitask a bunch of programs easily. The only down side is the amount of ports it comes with

Although purchasing this just before the 5 series is to be annouced. The specs on the CPU are very good for a general use laptop. Premium design and manufacturing definitely a solid take on Microsoft's part to compete with a Mac. There is no GPU outside of the built in Xe graphics but this does not limit normal use of simple games and multitasking. I'm willing to bet with the CPU, RAM, and design this will last a normal person at least five years before needing replacement. I would not recommend going bellow 16GB RAM for any modern use laptops but I rarely see my performance spike above 10-12GB when utilizing multiple applications and multiple Desktops with Chrome tabs.

Excellent. Really like this product. When searching for a laptop always shop by specifications. User needs vary widely. Display is stellar with good interface. Intel chip is good those who avoid multitasking and the extra ram handles complex queries fast. I find it hard to beleive how microsoft will up their game on the next product. This one is going to be tough to beat!

Everything you could want in a powerful yet elegant laptop that can run anything! The major reason to upgrade was that my old Surface Laptop would not support Windows 11. Purchased from Best Buy because the pricing was great and availability was immediate.

Surface Laptops are great. They could definitely use more USB-C (or Thunderbolt) ports though! And their proprietary port and Surface Docs are great when they work, but a real pain when they don't. We have quite a few Surface Books and Laptops here now, and most of them have display issues now and then. Surface owners HAVE to know the Ctrl+Win+Shift+B key combo in order to make life better (this basically refreshes the video out signal). And a note to Best Buy - PLEASE put whether a PC comes with Windows Home or Pro in the description! This is my bad, but the 3rd, and hopefully final time that I've purchased a laptop from here only to find out it came with a Home version of Windows. (Need Pro to join to a domain.)

I wouldn't let me headline dissuade your decision on this computer, because if anyone is a big advocate for Surface computers, it's me. I've travel a lot for work, and have owned close to 10 surface laptops, books, pros over the last 5 years, and this is only the second one I've had an issue with. The other issue was with my Surface Book constantly disconnecting from my Surface Dock (again, a charging port issue). As somebody who has owned multiple types of ever Surface available (except that giant computer one), I can honestly say the laptops are by far my favorite. I think they are the sleekest, with amazing battery life, and great power. They do get hot if you use them in your lap though, so be weary of that. All my Surface products get really hot, especially my Books, which they don't even make anymore.

Bought as a last minute upgrade when my old machine could not keep up with work demands. Im infinitely glad I did. No issues with it; It’s a fast, nice looking laptop. Works great with surface pen.
