I was on the fence between an Apple and a Microsoft Surface, or any other computer for that matter. Upon checking out the Microsoft Surface computer I found it was much more user friendly than the Mac, I could split my screen into four screens if I wanted to, rather than just the two I was working with in Mac. I love how slim and sleek it the computer is, making it light and easy to transport. It also has a long battery life. I am still figuring out all the amazing functions of this computer, but I am happy about my purchase.

Recently I found myself in the need for a good laptop. After a lot of research and word of mouth, I was recommend this laptop. Ive always been a tower PC person and most of my experiences with laptops have been with clunky, loud, and hot machines. This laptop takes care of two of those problems well. If you’re doing “heavy” work it can get a little warm but I found it was very manageable. The sleek form factor makes it very convenient for travel. The build quality is excellent, but for the price you're paying thats the bare minimum. The built in camera quality for video calls is decent and clear. Something I really enjoy about the laptop is the very solid display quality. I find myself consistently choosing to watch shows on my laptop rather than tv. Something that is definitely a choice and could be a deal breaker for some people is the minimal ports. It really depends on what you’re doing with the device. In my experience I’ve only had a few problems with the lack of ports, but when that does happen it’s very frustrating. That’s what I signed up for. A unexpected feature that I at first thought of as kind of a novelty has actually become something that I can’t live without however. The touchscreen has repeatedly proven, in scrolling, school work, and drawing, to have surprising utilitarian value and convenience. I’m terms of computing power, this laptop when equipped with the i7 seems to be very capable for a laptop. I’ve even managed to get some games running on it. Just keep in mind you are obviously not going be playing triple A games on it and even light gaming starts to really warm the laptop up. The battery charges fast and lasts for a decent amount of time. I think the quality of this product shows when my biggest complaint comes from the charging cable itself. Again and again plugging this thing in is always this awkward dance. The magnetized port is supposed to make inserting the cable easier, but what ends up happening is it takes at least 3 attempts to even get it in there. Once you do, if you even look at the cable funny it will disconnect just to spite you. All in all your definitely paying for a premium, but in my experience my investment is well worth it. Would recommend to college students, as a mobile business tool, or a gateway computer to anyone using MacOS interested in switching. NOT recommend for gaming, or musicians/filmmakers.

Bought this computer to replace a Surface Pro 3 that was 8 years old. I really like the size, weight and slim design. Realized after several years of using the old computer that a laptop is easier to handle being able to adjust the screen on my lap and have it more secure.

Love this Surface Laptop 5. The 13.5" touch screen is the perfect size for my needs and very portable. With the Core i7 processor, 16GB of memory, and 512GB of storage, it is perfect. The Sandstone color is very attractive and elegant looking. And i couldn't be happier with the $300 off sale price!

Got the sandstone color and it is a beauty. Last laptop was the surface book and i never used the detached mode (although cool in theory) and it was too top heavy because of this feature. Happy that this laptop is lighter, faster, touch screen, and prettier.

My daughter picked this out for college. She wanted small and lightweight, and this laptop is both those things. What really sealed the deal is the shape and size of the screen. It's square rather than rectangular, so it is taller than most similarly sized laptops. This small difference in dimensions makes a huge difference in the amount of content that can be seen on the page, as the page's "fold" is farther down on the screen. Compare the same webpage on this laptop to a similar one and you'll see a big difference. One problem is the price. Even on sale, it was more expensive than all other laptops with similar specs, other than the square screen. The rose gold was just too much color, so we returned it and got the same model in black.

Great Laptop for those wanting both performance and mobility. I have had no issues whatsoever running MS Office YT videos and other stuff at the same time. The screen is ok but the fact its touch screen is very nice. The Keyboard is smooth, really smooth. Looks wise, I have had avid apple users legit open up their jaws saying how nice and sleek it looks and double checking it's not an Apple.

The biggest plus is the duration of the battery between charges. I can watch a movie, ball game or use it throughout most of the day without worrying about recharging the battery. It's a good, solid, high performing, light laptop. Microsoft charges a premium for its products, but the hardware and Windows software are integrated by the manufacturer, Microsoft. The only feature I wish it had was a second USB-3 Port. I purchased a small external portable USB hub, but it's just one more thing to carry if I need to attach 2 USB devices at the same time. This is the only reason I did not rate it 4 stars. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Lightning fast. Very comfortable keyboard. Does not get hot like my prior Dell laptop (only 2 years old). Very good battery life so far.

Nice compact and fast laptop. Yep complaints. 1, the black keyboard is hard to see in low light. 2, having some difficulty getting the scales right so that icons, text and drop down windows all have a decent sized font. I added a separate numeric keypad which works better than expected.

I love Microsoft Surface. I’ve had a Surface 4 for number of years and just purchased this Surface 5 for work. Easy to set up and easy to use. Light weight. Great touch screen. Great laptop.

The surface laptop works as intended, the OS works fine without any third-party stuff straight from Microsoft. The speed is acceptable and the design is top notch. I love it. Just hope it doesn't slow down when I start loading it with stuff.

Great computer! I decided to go with the 13.5" screen and I find it more than big enough. I am happy with it and love the size for travel! The screen is bright and the sound from the built in speakers is really good. The computer is lightning fast and overall I am really happy with it!

My mistake for buying this days before a week long business trip to a trade show. My 4-5 yo Surface needed to be replaced, though. Doubling RAM, increasing processor cores, & finally doubling & upgrading my memory to solid state. However, it can bog down & run much slower than my older Surface? I’m really disappointed in its overall speed. I wanted a race car for business apps. I didn’t find this one to be all that. Windows upgrade is still a learning process!

The laptop is really great, doesn’t lag, the processor speed is excellent. I use to for programming and running some coding stuff, and it hasn’t slowed down ever since. Finally a windows laptop that works like macOS

I LOVE my surface laptop!! I have had it for over a year now and I use it for everything. The look of it is chef's kiss. I can run all my softwares for editing, coding, and light gaming. It's pretty quiet unless I'm playing games. The laptop also works with all my plug ins(monitor, microphone, and dongle). I haven't had any issues using it.
