I have the original Pro, Pro 3 and now Pro 6. They are all great. The Pro 6 battery life is ahead of the previous models by a lot. Start up is faster and it will give me a fill day of productivity with time on the battery to spare. I also have a surface Book that I use for mainly my office use. The Pro's I use for my employee and myself when onsite at multiple clients in a day. No issues Great performance!

I bought this to replace another tablet I had. I loved my other tablet, but the Surface is superb. I use OneNote to take notes and as a lefty, this can be frustrating when your hand is touching the menus on the left side of the screen as you write. The Surface has a setting for which hand you use to write with, so the menus don't activate as your hand moves. This might be standard with other similar machines, but my previous tablet/laptop did not have this. I also love that it's so light and portable. When I use it during class, it isn't intrusive to other students next to me. It's fast and I have access to all the programs I need for my major. I also purchased the keyboard, pen, and mouse, which I enjoy. I have read other reviews about the difficulty of the keyboard when you are working with the laptop on your lap. The keyboard is firm and doesn't flex when I type on my lap. The Surface with all the accessories is quite expensive. Depending on your needs, the mouse and pen may not be necessary. I would absolutely get the keyboard - no questions.

If you need a windows machine, and want the portability of a tablet this machine cannot be beat. I have been using Surface Pro devices for years now. This purchase was for my wife because I am tired of getting her cheaper laptops that just do not last. The performance of the Surface Pro is beyond just about any laptop that I have used, especially in the same price range.

I traded a 2-in-1 for this and couldn't be happier. The 2-in-1 was way to bulky for someone who travels with their computer. With the laptop this functions like a laptop but it's so much lighter and smaller. I've been happy with Word and Excel on this, which is what I use most often. I'd recommend this to someone looking for a lightweight option with plenty of functionality.

After my cat decided to knock my first surface off my table and break the screen, I needed a new one. Why you say? Microsoft does not make or replace the screens. So a new computer was needed. It is by the far the best computer made. Powerful, 12 hours battery life, does every everything except monster games. Wouldn't have any other computer except my heavy weight desktop brute.

This laptop is great for school. Easy to use for note taking and web surfing. It's able to handle multiple tabs easily and runs fast and smooth. I like the portability of having a small laptop that doesn't feel to small. My only complaint is the charger. It disconnects very easy and sometimes I don't realize it's not charging. Other than that, I think this is a great laptop.

I loooove this device. I take it to work with me every day, and it makes my life so much easier. If I am in a meeting I can write notes, I have Microsoft office with me everywhere with the portability and adaptability of a tablet, and I can easily switch to desktop mode when messing with my saved files or typing at length. I've already had so much use out of it in the first few months of owning it, and it pushes me to learn more of its software functionality, such as using drawing applications and the pen. It was a worthwhile investment for me, but it is more of a work/professional device. If you dont think you'll use the range of features it has to the fullest, you might want to explore cheaper options that fit your exact needs.

Purchased with the keyboard, pencil and the mouse and love them all

Needed to update from my 10 year old frankenputer. Wanted to try a laptop that seemed fun and useful. I'm not a gamer so don't require a lot, i do a lot of photos and artwork on mine. Didn't want to go the Mac route. Happy with the speed, ease of use and display quality. I got the hard case and keyboard to accessorize and will get the pen ASAP!

This is a neat computer with lots of great features. I bought it to replace my iPad and laptop, which have both been showing signs of slowing down. So far it has served those purposes quite well. The display is very nice, the size allows for both functionality and portability, and it’s very easy to switch between tablet and laptop mode and to find what works best for a particular use. I also bought the Surface pen and found it to be worth the price, as taking notes and similar tasks are easy and enjoyable with it. The only problem I had was that the screen on the one I originally bought from Best Buy stopped working two weeks after I bought it... Microsoft replaced it for me and the new one is working well. I think the other one may have been dropped at some point before it got to me—I noticed after getting it home that a corner of the box was damaged, but thought little of it until the screen issue happened. I have several friends with various Surface models and the consensus is that these are well-made computers, so it must have been a fluke one way or another. I don’t regret my purchase and I am happy with my choice of product.

I absolutely LOVE my Surface Pro 6. Easy to use. Super light weight. So easy to bring with me while traveling. Great graphics and color. The mouse stores flat and is also easy to transport. Keyboard attaches & detaches instantly for use as a computer or pad. I love those options. Also use my Surface Pro for stock trading when on vacation.

I was in need of a new tablet. I was going to go the usual Samsung/Android route but wanted to do more then just purchase another device catered to consume media. With a price not much more than a high end Android tablet I figured I would give the surface a shot. This was one of the best tech purchases I have ever made. This thing is quick with an Intel i5 processor. This is a full Windows 10 device so it runs all the applications that I need, and then some. I sprung for the Surface keyboard, and folded up it is the same size as an Android tablet, just MUCH more powerful and useful. With this much power and in this form factor I no longer have use for Android outside of my cellphone. It comes with Windows 10 Home, but I purchased a key for Windows 10 Pro. I now have the full Windows 10 experience in tablet.

I have been looking at Surface for some time. Went to Best Buy looking to buy a Samsung laptop. A wonderful sales associate recommended a Surface Pro 6. I bought one and I love it. Perfect size, great battery life with plenty of RAM for my needs.

I love everything about this Surface. The size is just right to occasionally use it as a tablet, but it is also not to small to be used with the keyboard as a computer. The pen is also an added plus when using it as a tablet.

Best of all worlds; is a great Windows tablet, or add a keyboard type cover and it's a powerful laptop with a great display. Add other options like the (expensive) Kensington SD-7000 Surface Dock, a keyboard and mouse and you have a complete desktop computer. Complete versatility. Materials and build quality are outstanding. Battery life is great. One issue is that after you've added a lot of extras for all of this versatility, you will have dropped some $$$. But the only real issue I have with it is that it doesn't have a "traditional" Thunderbolt port, although you can also add a Microsoft Surface Dock for good portable expandability.

We travel quite a bit as a family and having a lightweight device that can perform all the functions as a 4lb laptop and hold a battery charge that last 6+ hours is great. It allows for a lot of mobile work and schoolwork for my wife as we travel. Highly recommend.
