i LOVE my Surface Pro 6. I had an earlier version that I also loved but it needed to be updated. This computer is fast, efficient, easy to take everywhere, and battery is long lasting. It comes with the normal keyboard and not the one that has no movement. It is a bit heavy and did not come with a carrying case so I bought a simple one on Amazon. It also did not come with the "pen" which I thought they should have included.

I've been using the 8 GB model as my main device going back and forth between my apartment and my parents house and it does everything I need. It can be connected to a monitor (4k 60hz in my case) and used as a notebook for my classes. You won't be able to game on it but as a media consuming device its great. The only thing I'd warn against is that the tablet features are not great if you're only planning on using it as a tablet.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 sits at a rather strange spot regarding pricing. At $1000 for the 2-in-1 with keyboard bundle, it's hardware is of a similar caliber to that of laptops in the $600-800 range. However, the Surface's main selling points to compensate for its hefty price tag are its 2736x1824 QHD+ display and the versatility of both a tablet and a laptop with the detachable type cover.
As far as its selling points go, I initially thought them to be rather gimmicky, but as I continued to use it as my daily driver, I found these features to be increasingly useful. The display is great for content consumption and the hardware holds up well for light video and photo editing, though I prefer the sRGB color palette over the default "Enhanced" profile that tends to oversaturate certain colors. The use of a kickstand for height adjustment allows for greater ease of use than many tablets and laptops, and the type cover is serviceable with decent key travel and is backlit. Battery is able to get through a full day with medium to heavy usage, so no complaints there.
However, there are a lot of features or lack thereof that I find to be too much of a compromise for the Surface's high price. Firstly, the included I/O includes (1) Mini-DP port, (1) USB-A port, (1) 3.5mm audio jack, and the MagSafe charging port. The lack of either an additional USB-C or a Thunderbolt port I find to be a missed opportunity considering the amount of space left on the device's exterior. The MagSafe connector for charging does feel rather gimmicky as opposed to the other features considering pulling parallel to the connector cable drags the computer with it, which would not protect against accidents and drops.
When compared to the iPad Pro, which it seems to share the most similarities with in terms of target demographic, the iPad is rapidly gaining ground in terms of usefulness with the reworked iPadOS and the connectivity of the Apple ecosystem. Overall, the Surface Pro 6 is a worthwhile purchase if it goes on sale like with the recent manufacturer rebate, but it occupies a rather niche part of the market otherwise.

I'm an Apple person in terms of owning tech (iPhones, iPad Pro, Macbook Pro, iMac, iPad Mini) and when I decided to purchase a non-Apple item, my family was quite surprised. I wanted to see what other platforms are currently in the market so I purchased the Surface Pro 6, Intel Core i5 - 8 GB - Memory 128 GB SSD bundle, which includes the black keyboard. It was an open box item and rated as excellent by Best Buy so I took a chance and bought it. After all, I have a 45-day window to try it. It was a bit frustrating at first and it took awhile to adjust to navigating around it. After using it for a week and trying it out, I must say I'm beginning to like it. It is super fast, unlike the other Surface Pro 4 (M3 and 4 GB) that I purchase earlier, since I didn't want to spend a lot for just trying it out. That item came as a deal of the day at Best Buy for $549. After playing with that for less than a week, I was not impressed so I'm returning that and keeping this latest model. And just today, I went to Best Buy and bought the Surface Pro Pen (in black) to get the total feel of the Windows 10 platform in the Surface Pro 6 and find out if there is any merit to owning the pen and if it's something that I would use all the time. I remember buying the Apple pencil for my iPad Pro and realized that it's not mandatory to own one. It's a nice accessory to have if your budget allows.

We use this tablet for business with Floor Wizard software. It’s small, lightweight and has great connectivity to wi fi where we draw and enter and transfer data to use for ordering correct material quantities for installing flooring. We’ve purchased more than this one for other users and it’s durability, after purchasing a protective case, has been an advantage. I recommend it.

This computer is amazing. It is so fast and user-friendly I bought it for my son who is beginning Holy Ghost high school and started today. This is his first self owned a tablet other than the Kindle and he has been raving about it since I purchased. I would highly recommend this product to everyone who visits Best Buy and are looking for a computer for their children.

I have had a surface before and my dog knocked it over and broke it. No fault of the company. I got this one to replace it and fell back in love with the surface. It makes school functions so much easier and note taking is a breeze. It runs everything perfectly and lasts the whole school day with heavy use (6 hours of class). Highly recommend it.

The easiest full-power truly portable computer around. This thing makes my life so much easier. I no longer have to lug around my laptop, in and out of offices. With this, I am able to slip a tiny tablet into my purse, one with full functionality, with a keyboard, the whole nine. It is fast, and reliable.

The combination of tablet and laptop for the surface pro 6 is phenomenal the speakers are great and the accessibility is phenomenal I've had no problems with speed and the conversion between me writting and filling in information with the pen is a jem. If you don't have a surface pro 6 you're really missing remarkable piece of equipment.

I have always been a windows fan and when the time to upgrade this was the best device on the market for portability, windows and good for work. I have been using for nearly a year now, I have used it for running software such as R and photo editors but it was not slow at all. Highly recommend it for anyone.

The Surface Pro is a good machine to travel and use as a table, although you add a monitor and it has nothing to envy to a PC or Lapto that you use for common tasks such as mail, surfing the internet, word processors or spreadsheets and some light photo and video editing work, in just one month with her I feel very pleased except for one thing ... It doesn't have a USB Type-C port. That's why I don't give this review a 5.
I also like it because it occupies a very small space, it is light and powerful for its class.

I am a college student at the University of South Carolina and the surface pro 6 has been able to complete every task in every situation. I love the portability, design, and speed of my surface. I don't own the pen yet but it works wonders in a class without although I think it would do wonders for note taking.

My son loves this thing. It's fast, it's light and it's convenient. I had no issues setting it up. I bought a separate 256GB micro SD card for about $50 and this should be enough storage for a student. A much bigger hard drive can be connected through a USB port. Recommended, especially when on sale.

I use it in the evenings and don't have to charge it for 3 days. It's fast and informative. It's cool and develops no heat. there's no cooling fan. The keyboard is a comfortable size. IT was a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I'd buy it again. Cheers!

It's my best purchase! I absolutely love it. I take it everywhere. It's lightweight and fits great in my purse. I use it for school and I use it for work. I love how the keyboard acts as a screen protector when I'm not using it. Love love love and would recommend!
