ARM processor not compatible with standard industry applications. Also, capabilities to update from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is limited.

Worst experience ever Right after the last day I could return the pC it glitched with an update that Msoft had me do on the computer. Now it doesn’t turn on… it keeps on an infinite loop. I took to msoft store on 5th Ave and they said they had never seen this… Crappy device! Don’t buy this.

I love using this device for Microsoft Whiteboard and Microsoft Edge. I wish there were other apps (e.g., Zoom, Chrome, and Adobe Creative Cloud) that were compiled natively for the processor (SQ2). Microsoft claims that more apps are being ported to this processor every week. I would have given it 5 stars if the Surface Dock 2 had been able to properly power my external touch monitor, which would have allowed me to fully retire my old HP all-in-one computer. Setting up the 4g LTE was very easy for a first-timer like me.

I brought this computer because of the hardware and screen experience, not excepting the issues with running applications that should work out of the box. Can you say "windows phone? It is the same experience: good idea but bad execution. The reason is because of the ARM64 processer. While it gives you excellent battery life and a better screen experience, it is an experiment running non-Microsoft applications. Even after I upgraded to Windows 11, which should have taken care of those issues, it was more frustrating because the problems did not show up until you run the applications. Using it for simple office or schoolwork applications; may work fine. If you want to use any graphics(lacks compatibility with graphics applications like Zwift), you will run into issues. By the way, I spent a month working with Microsoft support to get a replacement for a refurbished Surface Pro 7 or 8. Their response was the "system" would not let them do this. Now that the Pro 8, I would get that instead. I predict that the Pro X will have same fate as the Windows Phone or Zune.

This computer is horrible. The response from Microsoft to my issues is even more horrible. I bought it for the LTE features after owning a Surface Pro 7 thinking. they would otherwise function the same. Adobe Acrobat DC was glitchy from the beginning. I was having too many issues so decided to factory reset the computer. Then Acrobat would not even try to install. I called Adobe and was told that many of their products will not operate on a Surface Pro X and they had no intention of making them work in the future. Turns out there are a lot of software products that will not run on this computer. I think it is reasonable to expect that anything an earlier version (Surface Pro 7) can do could be done on a later version. After talking to Microsoft Customer Service I'm getting the hand. I explained that it's basically useless to me and just wanted a credit. They claim that since they put a disclaimer on their website that it may not run all applications that they don't have to do anything. I only wanted MS credit for a return so I could just buy another Surface Pro 7.

The worst Surface Pro EVER! I do not recommend anyone buy the Surface Pro X if they want to use any Adobe products. The new ARM is not compatible. I missed the return time frame for this product or I would have returned it. What a complete waste of money and time.
