As usual for the Surface hardware, it appears well made and the key movements feel like a real keyboard.

I’ve been using the Surface Slim Pen 2 with the Pro keyboard and it’s been a great experience. The keyboard feels really nice to type on, especially for something so thin and portable, and it makes the Surface feel like a full laptop. The Slim Pen is super responsive and smooth, whether I’m taking notes or just navigating. I also like how it stores and charges directly in the keyboard, which is really convenient. Overall, it’s a great combo that makes the device much more versatile and easy to use.

’ve been using the Microsoft Surface Slim Pen (2nd Edition) alongside the Pro Keyboard, and I’m really impressed with how seamlessly they work together. Surface Slim Pen (2nd Edition): The Slim Pen feels natural in the hand—lightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable for long use. The low-latency response is excellent, making handwriting, note-taking, and sketching feel smooth and precise. The haptic feedback is a standout feature; it adds a subtle but satisfying “pen on paper” feel that enhances the writing experience. I also like how it magnetically attaches to the keyboard for charging—no extra cables or hassle. Pro Keyboard: The keyboard is equally well designed. The keys have a comfortable travel distance and feel very responsive, which makes typing fast and accurate. The backlighting is convenient in low-light settings, and the large precision trackpad feels smooth and accurate. The real highlight is how the keyboard integrates with the Slim Pen—there’s a dedicated storage and charging spot that keeps the pen always ready to use. Overall Impression: The combination of the Slim Pen and Pro Keyboard really elevates the Surface experience. It turns the tablet into a fully functional laptop while also offering the flexibility of a digital notebook. The build quality, thoughtful design, and performance make this pair worth it for students, professionals, and creatives alike.

[PROS] Pen Accuracy: I find using the Surface Pen quite pleasant and necessary to get the most out of my Surface Pro Copilot device. I'm able to write, draw, and markup with surprisingly, great precision. Latency is extremely minimal which resulted in greater fluidity for me. Very Responsive: Whether it's typing on the keyboard, controlling the cursor through the trackpad, or executing pen-related commands, all parts work effectively. I've yet to notice any glitches occurring which is a thumbs up in my book. No Charging Needed: The keyboard must remain connected for use, but all is not lost. The worry of wondering if your keyboard has enough "juice" is no longer a concern. Furthermore, this helps to allow to a slightly slimmer design. Efficient: When it came using the keyboard, I noticed that it didn't cause massive battery drain on my Surface Pro Copilot. Given that it relies totally on the tablet for power, I was highly impressed that battery levels remained steady. On average, I would probably lose a couple of battery points each hour. However, it didn't diminish my ability to perform any task. [CONS] - Lacks Wireless Connectivity: Unfortunately, this keyboard doesn't have the wireless capability like "Big Brother" does. I did wish for the feature to be part of the baseline design, but I understand that it targets a different consumer. - No Power Button or Fingerprint Reader: These aren't required features for the keyboard, but are things on my wishlist. This accessory has the ability to turn the Surface Pro into a laptop. If I use my device like a laptop then I would want functionality similar to one. Being unable to turn on my Surface Pro from the keyboard or unlock my device it is a bummer, but not the end of the world. [Mixed Bag] - Okay Comfort Level: For people with smaller hands, comfort level would probably be A1. I lean towards having larger hands so sometimes I have to adjust my hand/wrist position for comfort. I wouldn't use this device for an 8 hr. work day, but I find perfectly fine to use it for a couple hours at a time. [CONCLUSION] I'm not a fan of spending more money than I have to regarding a big tech purchase. For this product, I've made an exception. The Surface Slim Pen and Keyboard Pro is the way to go. It's very competent in its intended functionality and should be complimentary for any scenario, especially when being on the go.

This is a very nice and efficient device. The last time I had a Surface, it was a 4 and the pen was magnetic and just stuck to the side of the computer. I love that the pen now has a space in the keyboard! It's so much more convenient. I'm glad that the pen still has the "eraser" on the end, too! The keyboard feels a lot more durable than the 4's keyboard as well.

Simplicity at its best and got it on sale. The keyboard automatically attaches and does not have a seperate charging system as long as its attached to surface keyboard and pen work. Wow!!!

I recently bought the Surface Pro keyboard with pen and pen holder from Best Buy, and I’m very happy with the purchase. The keyboard is responsive and comfortable to type on. The pen works smoothly for note-taking and drawing, and the holder keeps everything organized. It was easy to set up and feels like a great value.

The price is on the higher side, but it does make a difference. Unfortunately, it's one of those accessories you do need (The Keyboard). That said, I may have used the stylus once when I first got it, then set it aside just like every other stylus I buy. I test them out, play around for a few minutes, and then never touch them again. But as for the keyboard itself, it’s well made and feels great to use.

This helps is so many ways, The computer starts out just as a tablet and getting this keyboard and pen combo helps so much the pen helps with Animation work, art, and so much more. while the keyboard helps with typing, writing and if you choice too gaming while being simply packed and slim agents the tablet taking up little extra space.

Great addition to my Surface Pro. This has a place for the pen and charges it along the way so it’s perfect to keep me up and running.

I love using this keyboard and pen. I haven't had any issues with the keyboard so far, only that it feels so much smoother typing. I have been using the pen a few times, but I like using it on the screen too. Worth the price.

I really like that the pen sits inside the keyboard and can charge. Microsoft hasn't changed anything with their surface design and it seems to be a great match

I have found this to be a very easy to use and useful addition to the surface tablet.

I bought the Surface Pro Keyboard and Slim Pen (2nd Edition) bundle for my son to use with his new Surface Pro 11, and he absolutely loves them! The keyboard is lightweight, durable, and types beautifully — very responsive and comfortable for long study sessions. The Slim Pen is fantastic too — smooth, precise, and feels just like writing with a real pen. It charges right on the keyboard, which is super convenient. Together, they make the Surface feel like a full laptop and are 100% worth the investment!

Great tactile keyboard with backlight. Was a big step up from the standard keyboard that came with my surface pro. The pen is very intuitive and writes well on a screen unlike some cheaper alternatives.
