This keyboard, as much as I love it for serious word processing, (I'm using it now, by the way.) spends most of its life in my backpack or at home. Why? Well, as much as I love it's backlighting and the feel of those clicking keys--which admittedly give it a slight edge over the touch keyboard--they also annoy me when I have the keyboard flipped behind the tablet so that I can use it like a tablet in my hands instead of like a laptop or netbook. Since I also have the touch keyboard, I find that it is my more usual choice. I get perfectly good speed from it, and I like the way it feels on my fingertips when I flip it behind the SP2. Personal preference, I realize. I have spoken to other SP2 owners who don't mind the feeling of the type keyboard at all, and obviously, if you decide you can't afford both covers and like me find the clicking keys under your fingertips to be disconcerting, it only takes seconds to detach and reattach the keyboard to its magnetic dock when shifting modes of usage.

Great addition to my tablet. Touch screen is great, but makes typing up essays for school easy.

This, by far, is the best portable keyboard I have ever used for a portable device. I've owned Apple and Android devices and tried a host of blue tooth keyboards. All I ever got over blue tooth was maybe every other or every third character not being captured by the device while I typed. I type over 100 words a minute so you can imagine how frustrating constantly slowing down to correct my words ever other second. This keyboard blows away anything that a blue tooth keyboard offers. It kept up with my typing speed and I never once felt like I had to slow down for my device. If you purchase this keyboard you will not be disappointed. The price is a bit out there however everyone seems to be charging a premium for even the most inexpensive, trivial mobile accessories these days.

With the cost of the Surface pro3 I surely needed some protection for it. This cover is close fitting and firm with easy access to the device. I like it.

With the back lighting of the keys, this keyboard is the best that I have used for my Surface.

works well with my surface, no problems. Easy to take along with you and use on the go. The only problem I had was the case I purchased was tight with the key board attached to tablet. I can comfortably use while relaxing (lying down) or sitting. The keyboard not to small and fits well.

Great addition to the Surface 2. Snaps in perfectly. The texture feels good. Did wish the texture on the touchpad area was different though. Would be better if the price was lower. $139 for a keyboard is expensive. Max I would like to pay for an accessory would be like $50-$60

Keyboard is great with the Surface 2. Love that it magnetically attaches and automatically recognized, no set up or anything, just attach and start typing. Also like that it puts the Surface to sleep when you close it. Fun color options instead of just plain ol' black keyboard.

Ease of use. Easy to attach/detach. Keys are responsive and dont take alot of pressure.

I love this keyboard with it's back lit light and strong magnetic attachments to tablet.

As some one who also has an iPad I wish Apple would be on board with something like this. The Type Cover is easy to attach and does a great job as both a cover and a keyboard. It's just a well done product. If only the Surface it was attached to was as well designed...

Great keyboard. Attaches easily and feels like a full size keyboard. Very easy to type with -- definitely make the tablet into a laptop. And it's also a cover for the table so no additional cover is necessary

I would recommend thus to any college student. Its so light and easy to take to class.

This was going to be used for my sisters surface 2. It worked fine however the surface 2 was junk and we had to return all the items.

This keyboard is wonderful, easy to use & the mouse pad doesn't interfere at all!!

I got the purple cover, surprised that it connected so easily. It stays connected and provides nice protection for the screen. Got ready not to buy it because of the price but read reviews and changed my mind! If you are considering this, I would highly recommend!

Love the color, works well, easy to type on and has backlighting

This keyboard is the perfect companion to the Surface tablet. It has a great touch and it is easy to adapt to. To me it feels like a full-sized keyboard. I love the color and the fact that it illuminates the keys. Also handy are the dedicated keys for Windows 8.

Happy with performance. It works as advertised and my wife loves the color purple.

I absolutely love my detachable keyboard as it works just like a regular keyboard.
