I bought this last night after seeing it in the store, searching around for a good bluetooth keyboard for my Apple iPad mini 4 and Nvidia Shield Console Android TV. The reviews looked solid so I gave this a shot. It is, hands down, the best portable keyboard I've used. I've had a bunch over the years (mostly from Zagg) and while they were ok, they weren't great. Flimsy, really cramped, etc. This one is basically the Surface Type Cover keyboard with a split in the middle (so it's like an old Microsoft split ergonomic style). Spacious, etc. There are two things that make me not give it 5 stars though. The first is that it isn't backlit (yet it has some backlighting on the top row for the power, bluetooth device selector, and operating system selector). It would have been PERFECT with some backlighting (possibly for the second gen model?) While 6 month battery life is awesome, I'm fine cutting it down to 30 day battery life and having an awesome backlit Surface Type Cover style portable foldable keyboard. The second thing is the Caps Lock key. Why is it so big?! lol. I find I am occasionally hitting it when I am typing the letter A. Having that a tad smaller and the A key a tad bigger would have been a better balance. Other than that, it's literally fantastic! It is super compact, fits in my pocket, has this cool splash resistant coating on it, etc. All in all, I'm sold and very much recommend this to someone that needs a portable keyboard for multiple wireless devices. Bring on the backlight for the next one! ^_^

It works & I can fit it in my back pocket when on the go. The battery life is so long that I forget that it even needed charging...I use it about 1-2 times a week for about 30-120 minutes & charge it up once a month on average....sometimes once every 2 months. Of course I'm not continuously typing for all of the time... Main selling points: 1. Fits in pocket of most of my pants/shorts 2. Battery life is crazy stupid long 3. Learning curve/getting used to the middle divider (which most foldable portable keyboards have...super annoying, but it has to be done somehow unless the folds/folding mechanism is set up differently) and using the correct fingers is minimal compared to the 2 other portable keyboards I've used in the past. I saw that a someone has a kickstarter or investors for a cool looking foldable keyboard concept coming out soon (they've met the goal). If it is priced appropriately, I'll probably buy it due to the fact that it looks a bit more solid than other products - with regards to the punchy-ness of the keys and also the dimensions when folded are less than other similar products (not including the depth...just the width/length)

    Strong folding keyboard option

There are many folding keyboard options on the market and upon reading several review, I decided to give the Microsoft folding keyboard a try. For those who have tried out one of the newer Microsoft Surface keyboards, this one will feel fairly familiar. The keyboard is not full size, but has fairly large keys and as someone with fairly large hands, I found myself getting accustomed to the key positions fairly easily. The keys have a decent amount of travel given the keyboard's thinness but the feel is not mistakable for a workstation laptop or desktop keyboard in terms of feel and travel. Syncing is easy and the keyboard easily alternates between my iPad and iPhone. In testing it, I also found that switching the bluetooth devices is easy and syncing with my Windows 10 laptop was almost as easy as my mobile devices. The battery life is also strong, In the first few weeks of my ownership with approximately 20 minutes of use per day, I have had to charge the keyboard only twice. All in all, give this device a try. I suspect you won't be disappointed with the result.

I'm really impressed by this keyboard. It's incredibly thin but the keys still feel nice and "clicky". The magnetic close is also nice because then I don't need to worry about it sliding around and possibly getting worn down in the middle. Set up was a breeze when I paired it with my Wacom Mobilestudio Pro 13". My only complaint is that the F1-F12 keys are non-existent, but I guess not everyone actually uses them (I do however..). Also depending on how you type, the arrangement of the keys may seem a little weird: for me I use my right index finger to hit the "B" key rather than my left index finger, so where the "B" is on this keyboard messes me up a little but it just takes some getting used to. And although I have not paired the keyboard to either an android or iOS device, it does show on the keyboard functionality for those. I believe this keyboard is really great especially if you're a student looking for something light to just slip in to a pocket of your bag/portfolio/binder.

I use my TV as my computer monitor and so I am always switching between computer and cable in my living room (can you tell I'm single?). But who wants a bulky keyboard in their living room? This thing is super thin but the keys do have a great feel - not as much travel as a regular keyboard, but enough for some tactile feedback. The keyboard layout is definitely different , so if you touch-type you'll have to make some adjustments as you can see from the picture. The best thing about it is the instant on and communication with the computer. Just open it up and it's on;' close it, it's off. The Bluetooth connects very quickly. I have had to wait a few seconds with other keyboards. My only complaint would be the price - but if you catch it on sale you can save some bucks.

I find this to be a great tool for anyone who travels. It has two very strong features. The first one is that it is compatible with all of the major operating systems. Windows, Android, and Apple. The second major feature is that it has the ability to connect to 2 devices. The device switching is as simple as pressing a button on the keyboard. The only drawback to this keyboard is the size of the keys. Even though this is designed to be small the keys are just a little on the small size and take a little getting used to. The thing I love most about this keyboard is that when paired with a bluetooth mouse I can connect them both to my phone and use them on the plane to have the smallest office ever. It is so much more simple on a short flight or trip to pull those items out rather than pulling out the laptop.

I wanted to give the iPad Pro a try but hated the Apple smart keyboard. So this lead me to try this keyboard. If you have used a Surface Pro 3 keyboard, this is what it feels like. I thought it would be hard to get used to the split keys but honestly it felt natural. The keyboard folds perfectly and fits snugly into a sleeve I picked up for the iPad Pro. Also the battery life shows up on the ipad Pro widget which is a nice touch. Only downside I guess is that it it means you might have to carry a microUSB charger from time to time if you are an Apple user.

As much as I love all my touchscreen devices, every now and then a physical keyboard is a must! I cannot touch type on glass screen. This compact, solidly-built, foldaway keyboard connects with my two favorite touch devices (a Note 4 and a Tab S) without a hiccup. The battery life is phenomenal and the keyboard itself has a nice key feel and seems like it will survive its portability. It fits in a little side pocket with my charger cables on my travel bag. I did get this keyboard at a discount, and am not sure I would have paid full price for it... not because of quality, but just because of my budget. :) But, if you need it, buy this. You will not regret.

I travel a lot, so I started carrying a tablet instead of a laptop due to the difference in weight. I needed a means to type traditionally since typing on a table can be a bit cumbersome. This keyboard definitely solved my problems, light, compact yet very well made. I can fit this keyboard when folded into my back pocket. being able to switch between 2 devices with a press of a button is great, that way i can have my Galaxy Tab S2 and my Galaxy S7 set up side by side and alternate between the two as needed. The only downside is the small gap running down the middle of the keyboard when open, but once your get used to that you'll be typing away in no time!

It has keys, it has Bluetooth. When you press the keys, through the magic of Bluetooth letters appear on the phone or tablet it's connected to. How does it do it? I have no idea, but it does it anyway. It works great, the auto on/off when opening and closing is a great feature, and the battery lasts forever. Well, not literally "forever", but for an acceptable length of time. Am I typing this review with it now? Nobody will ever know, and that's the beauty of this keyboard. None of your friends will know if you're using it. Unless they're watching you. In that case, they'll know. Hopefully they won't think less of you for using a Microsoft keyboard with your iPad.

Best portable bluetooth keyboard I have tried

I have been looking for a good portable (meaning small enough to pack in my bag with my iPad without taking up much room) bluetooth keyboard for the past 2 or 3 years. I saw the display of this at the store, and was amazed! Super thin, super light, and yet has full-sized keys and great typing action. I actually like the fact that there is a bit of space between the two sides of the keyboard. Makes it fit my hands just right. Pairs immediately with my iPad when I open the keyboard. Powers off when you close it. Microsoft did a great job on this one!

I purchased this keyboard with the idea of using it with my phone, as well as having a keyboard for my media PC that was Bluetooth enabled and not as awkward to store. I had misgivings about using this given the size and form, but thought I'd give it a try and if I didn't like it I would return it. They keys are surprisingly responsive, and the arrangement of the keys was standard enough that there was no real learning curve while using it. The battery is solid, as I have been using it since purchase on the original charge. If you need a good BT keyboard, this one is a good way to go.

I was looking for a keyboard to use with my iPad Pro 9.7". I didn't love the idea of always having a keyboard attached, because I only need the keyboard about half the time I'm using the iPad Pro. This keyboard is ideal. It's so light and easy to carry and best of all, it's not attached to the iPad, which also provides the benefit of placing my iPad a foot or so away from the keyboard when I'm using it. It connects as soon as I open it and allows me to switch between my iPad and iPhone with the click of a button. The keys are fairly quiet as well. I love this keyboard and would highly recommend this setup.

This is a very easy piece of tech to use! It fits into the case with my tablet, it automatically connects to my tablet when I open the keyboard, and, even though the keyboard is very flat, there's a good solid feel to the keys (i.e., I know that I've typed the letter I want). The gap in the middle of the keyboard takes a little time to get used to, but I like this keyboard! If it also had Spanish character functionality (and some sort of little prop stand for my tablet), I could give this keyboard a 5. As it is, I give it a 4.5.

This is a great keyboard with excellent battery life. It folds nicely and stores in my work bag, ready whenever I need it. I have used it with various Windows based devices from phones to tablets. It works with my iPad and Android devices. It has a button to tell it what type of device you are connecting too: Windows, iOS or Android. I frequently use it when I have to type a lot on my phone. When using a Windows Phone/tablet or Android phone/tablet I sometimes use a mouse, too. Too bad iOS doesn't have mouse support.

After months of admiring the Microsoft foldable keyboard as an efficient means to switch input between two devices that can also fit easily into a small bag, I was still hesitant because of the absence of Function keys. Despite no documentation or other indicators, it was a relief to experimentally discover that using the FN key + number keys also acts as F1 to F10 function keys, making the keyboard more useful for productivity. Pairing was simple between two Windows devices so overall, grabbing this on sale for half price at BestBuy was even a better bargain than initially thought.

I've bought some other Bluetooth keyboards to go with my iPad and this is the only one that I use (I have no idea where the others are) The fact that I can fold it and that it's fits in the pocket of my carry all (laptop bags that acts as a briefcase and purse) and that it's not bulky and can go with me any and every where and...well I don't know what other and to put her but.. Oh, and it was on sale!! That was the biggie. I wanted this one before but refused to pay $99 for it. Don't know if Microsoft could decreaSe the tag on this but other than that #GreatBuy

    Great little travel keyboard

The keyboard is a portable take on the Surface type-cover, which is a great keyboard in itself. The key-action is good, the device pairs quickly (and allows switching between 2 paired devices), and it shows no noticeable lag while typing. It is perfect for typing up that long email or editing a document quickly on the go, but the lack of touchpad (and function keys) makes it hard to do much real productive work on. But, pair it with a Continuum dock and wireless mouse, it makes my gadget pack quite a bit lighter while traveling.

Pros: Excellent build materials on a very nice & compact keyboard. Connects & disconnects quickly just by opening/closing the keyboard. The connection indicator lights are usefully bright. There's is a magnet to keep it closed I feel secure throwing it in a bag. Cons: Requires a flat surface You have to focus in placing your hands properly on the keys. It's good for touch-typing, but you can't be sloppy since some of the keys are non-uniform width.

I guess what makes this keyboard so great is also its biggest downfall. I wanted a compact keyboard to go with my Surface Pro 3 and I thought this one would fit the bill. It is very slim and folds up for easy storage. And therein lies the problem. Because it folds, the keys are small and the layout, for me, was awkward. Also, there is no locking mechanism, so you have to ve able to use the keyboard on a solid surface. It's not a terrible keyboard, just didn't really work for me.
