We had to replace the windows 8.1 loaded on the machine with the Pro version for network compatibility. Works great.

Very happy with both the new operating system and the work that the Geek Squad did on its install.

Made everything just work together so nicely. Well worth the no hassle of compatability.

Nothing to impressive. At least it has the "familiar" Windows experience...

I'm yet to discover all the new features. So far my experience was not great.

Worst OS offered by MS to date, online MS support helped me get Windows 7 running and store manager gave me a full refund even though it was opened.

All I want to do is install my "programs" on an "operating system" and get back to work. It's supposed to be a surface to work on. Why do the creative geniuses have to re invent the wheel "or desktop" every year or so. What was so terrible about the last version, that it had to have a drastic makeover? Why do I have this massive learning curve so I can get my software to play nice with it. I've spent a week trying to fix the relationship with my software instead of working in my software. Stick with 7, folks. I wish I had.

Bought for Mac but it was not compatible. I prefer Windows 7 ultimate.

Could not install the operating system either from within windows 7 pro or from a clean reboot. No phone numbers or contact info for support, just these instructions, insert disk, follow instruction. Computer (Asus I7 laptop)

Users/Consumers complaining about Windows 8 has never tried other Operating Systems that is in the Windows family before Windows XP. The ease of Windows 8 is great, after a few days of getting use to. Now with Windows 8.1, going to the new Metro View is better than before. Buying Windows 8 is fine, after installing the OS and activating it, you can upgrade to 8.1 for free! Highly recommended. People saying Windows 7 system performance is better than Windows 8 makes me laugh. Games and Applications runs a lot better with Win 8 than Win 7. From a consumer who's been using Windows OS since MSDOS, take it from me...Every Windows OS is very different/unique. MSFT has decided to go this way with the Metro View for it can be fully integrated with Touch screen, which works. Even with a mouse, it works just as good.

I like the fact that I can have touch screen on Windows PC that I enjoy on my other devices. Better than a mouse at times but finger prints and dirty fingers make cleaning the screen more often hat I keep a cleaning cloth nearby. I been using Win 8.1 for over 4 months now and it has its pluses and negatives. I cannot wait for Win 10 free this month to see the upgrade etc... I had to spend $10 to get back Win Media Center to get my live TV back up working and of course Media Center. Win 7 had its pluses too. Win 2k was the far less bugs and ran the best out of the box so far. I hope Win 10 will do the same and have my Win Media Center included with more stuff to use and enjoy etc...
