Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this with my best buy reward points because no where on microsoft's site does it say that these gift cards, which are essentially store credit, do not apply toward subscriptions. I mean think about it. If you have $10 left on your Itunes gift card and you buy anything, even a sub over $10 it applies part of it toward the sub and part towards your card on file, same with Netflix, same with pretty much ANY NORMAL BUSINESS. So why not Microsoft? NO ONE COULD TELL US. Nor could the refund the gift card, take it off, fix it in any way, and we literally only bought the card to apply towards our office subscription. And don't give me that stuff about "it says it's a windows store gift card". The gift card is credit to microsoft, the reps even said so, several of them, when we asked if they could remove it and just give us a credit. Ever bought the wrong type of Itunes gift card? No! Coz Itunes will take any kind of Itunes card for all their crap. There is no wrong Itunes card. To do otherwise would be telling you they don't want your money, pretty much like Microsoft I guess. Which is why we still haven't renewed our office sub yet.
