It’s nice to see that Microsoft gives you options. Sometimes you really don’t need 12 full months, and you need a little more than a month. This fits the bill.

I purchased a 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership for the first time on Best Buy a couple years ago and I love the convenience. I typically use the "Online Game Code" option which provides you with a code you enter on your Xbox or within your Xbox Live account. This allows me to make the purchase and basically instantly redeem the code on my Xbox Live account. It's great if you need to quickly start, reactivate or extend membership without waiting for a physical card to arrive in the mail or without needing to run to the store to buy one. I also like using these prepaid cards or codes to pay for Xbox Live over paying with a credit card or debit card. If you pay with a credit/debit card Microsoft typically automatically renews it when your subscription is up. As a single dad I may not always have the required funds where they need to be when that happens. I don't like surprises and the associated fees that come with them. ;) I prefer not having a credit card linked to my Xbox anyway because it helps prevent fraud and the kids can't "accidentally" purchase something.

My son got the game system and games for Christmas. He has been playing it with his friends everyday all day. I'm so happy I was able to find something he really enjoys

I brought this for my SOS for his birthday. He hasn't used this one yet, but I've brought many in the past. They are easy to load, follow the directions as shown.

If you can't afford the 12 months of Xbox live gold and need or want it buy this it's $25 for 3 months plus a lot of free games with Xbox live gold so it's worth the price.

I like being able to play online with my friends and other people. Xbox offers deals on games all of the time plus some are free. I can get a game for my daughter for free with this.

Pretty simple in terms of what you get. This allows you to access Xbox live and play online as well as various other apps. I got it while it was on sale at BB.

I actually gave to card to a friend as a Birthday gift. We both game a lot and love to play friends online. With Xbox Live we are able to play even though we live in different cities.

I prefer gift cards on the Xbox instead of using my credit card on the system. This prevents the kids from charging to your card for their gaming wants.

To play online you need an xbox live card, these are great for gifts for any teenager. I buy them for my son and his friends for any special occasion

Great Price! Picked it up on Black Friday for my son for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. Purchasing 4 of these for a year saves 20.00 off the 12 month normal price.

I have tried many different gifts, but I have become the regular supplier of my nephew's annual subscription to XBox, and the gift is always welcome. I will say that I had to ask the Best Buy clerk about whether I should get the enhanced subscription, and he encouraged me to get a supplemental gift certificate instead to be used however my nephew wanted to use it rather than getting the more expensive subscription. Then he could use it on a game of his choice if he wasn't interested in the games on the more expensive subscription.
