To start off, I'd like to say that X-Box Live is amazing and worth every penny. Online gaming is incredibly fun and quite a good way to pass time. That aside, there are downsides to X-Box Live that can be avoided through prepaid cards. Number one, you always run the risk that unwarranted transactions will be made if your credit card information is stored on your X-Box 360 system. It may not happen all that often, but it's best to avoid it all together. The biggest reason to buy prepaid Xbox Live card is the renewal process that happens when you don't use one. If you order X-Box Live through your system, it'll renew every time your subscription runs out. This wouldn't be a problem except that it's not that easy to cancel. Instead of canceling through your system, you have to go through the hassle of actually calling X-Box Live support. Even then, depending on the representative you get, you may be hassled to keep your subscription because they really don't want you to cancel it. I'm guessing that's part of their job to convince you to keep it, but it still is frustrating to the person that is trying to cancel it.

I got my kids the xbox one for Christmas and they screamed so loud like a ghost just came through the wall.or better yet like they have seen the dead walking in the house. But I are someone in the neighborhood, would have thought that somebody won the lottery lol but they are happy so I am happy but not only that but I got a great deal on games and hardware as well. Plus I got a gift card for a lot for getting the system to. All the way around I got a killer deal the prices where great and the deal I got no other stores even came close to the deals I got wow.I give them a 10/10 and the lady that help me was awesome thanks can't say her name for security reason but she was awesome and friendly and knowledgeable and courteous understanding patient see just awesome again thanks Best Buy and also keep up the good work.:),

If you enjoy playing online against people then it is absolutely mandatory to have a Gold account. You're not doing that without it. If you are a single player or couch buddy focused gamer then Gold isn't really all that necessary unless you want to take advantage of the "Free Games with Gold" titles released every month. Additionally, the Games with Gold titles that have released each month for the Xbox 360 have been far superior to the titles that have released on the Xbox One. So, if you just have an Xbox One and don't do much multiplayer online then Gold might not bee very valuable to you at this time. IMHO.

Yes, PSN gives it up for free, but the Xbox Live folks (XBL) make sure to give up some sweet games for free as well. For instance, around five weeks after its release, Microsoft released as a birthday gift to its owners (anniversary of the Xbox One) in the form of Sunset Overdrive. That's beside its regular freebies that it releases. Their Black Friday deals saved me a whole ton of money and they beat any deal on games like Titanfall, FIFA15, and Diablo by at least 15 bucks. Say what you will about XBL, but Microsoft is surely trying to treat its faithful followers with plenty of thanks.

Initially I was skeptic about Xbox Live Gold. I mean, after you already paid $ 500.00 for a brand new console, why should you still have to pay to play a game that can only be played online like Destiny or Titanfall. After the hacks that happened last christmas I could see how Microsoft responded better and faster than the Sony network, if you are able to catch these cards at discount you can average $5 to $8 a month for the service and if you add the "free with gold" games and discounts I think it is worth the money.

I got this as a christmas present this year and I got to say, it's a lot of fun playing call of duty multiplayer and gta v online. It's great if you aren't sure if you are going to like it instead of wasting the $60 for the whole year. This is nice to give people 3 months to see if they like it for $25 bucks. FYI, if you want to be able to play online with people around the world like for instance Call Of Duty, you are going to need this in order to play. Otherwise, you will only be able to play just the campaign.

I really love having this option for my teenager to use. He can easily download the code on the back of the card and instantly have access to XBox Live. It also allows me to not have to put my credit card information in the system which was problematic for me in the past with purchases I was unaware of through the gaming system. Now what he has on the card is all the money available and when it gets close to expiring, you will get notification so you can purchase another prepaid card.

I long ago made peace with the fact that in order for any of these new gaming systems to be truly fun, you have to have whatever necessary in order for them to get online. so here we are with Xbox Live. It's a great incentive to have chores completed in my house. And I prefer buying them at Best Buy rather than linking my CC info into the Xbox for a number of reasons. Online security and all of that but this way I also earn reward points with my membership. Win Win!

I purchased the Live 3 month membership so that my son could play Xbox One live with his friends. It was a good value for the money. My only complaint is that the card was loose in the box that also included the game console and the card was actually sticking out of the box when I received it. I am lucky it didn't fall all the way out of the box. I would recommend buying the cards directly from a store rather than having them shipped for that reason.

The largest reason anyone chooses X-Box over Playstation is for the better online experience and it doesn't let down. Never have any lag issues playing online with other players, downloading games is a breeze, and they give you two free game downloads a month (recently it was Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear Solid), and lots of deals for gold members and exclusives. Getting a gold membership is just essential to getting the most use of your X-Box.

Unless you don't intend on fully utilizing the full year subscription for Xbox LIve, don't overpay for a lesser amount of Xbox live time. Might as well get the whole year. So unless you don't feel like spending a little more for whatever reasons, then the 3 month subscription may be a better option. Anyway, if you take the year, you can let friends or family hop on too, so make the most of it.

These Xbox Live membership cards are very convenient. I am not a fan of adding my credit card number to my Xbox Live account. They store the number and it makes it very easy for a child to buy additional games or game content while playing Xbox. Xbox makes you go through hoops to removed the credit card number also. So these membership cards are convenient and potentially save you a headache!

Since both my older teenagers love to share their gaming experience on-line, this is the perfect Holiday/Birthday gift. I really like the 3 month memberships because then I have another chance to give this as a gift throughout the year and I know it will ALWAYS be appreciated. Plus, since it's compact, I can easily send it to my college-age son in a "care-package" from home!

After Microsoft did away with the family Xbox Live Gold program, I had to purchase time for my kids. The cards are the better way to do it so that MS doesn't have your credit card info and automatically renewing when the time comes. That can be.... inconvenient. Especially since there is no discount for having multiple accounts in one household any longer.

This is a really good deal. If you think about it, a regular 1 month subscription card is $12. So your actually saving by, buying the 3 month subscription for $25. Another great deal I also recommend, is buying a 12 month subscription card. It only costs $60 for a full year which is a bargain if you compare that to the 1 month card, or the 3 month. Great product!

The Microsoft - Xbox Live 3 Month Gold Membership was the right choice for me. I have both PS4 and Xbox Live gaming platforms. Since the PS4 is my main gaming console (with already 12 month online membership). I couldn't pass up the new TitanFall game. My current membership for my xbox live expired last year I only needed the 3 month and Best Buy had just what I needed.

Part one: I always enjoy a deal especially when it's for Xbox related products. It feels so rare to these on sale and I'm glad I did. When ever I can find these or Microsoft currency on the cheap I always scoop them up. For $15 you almost can't afford not to one of these. Part two: I always live shopping through BestBuy and deals such as these cement my loyalty to them.

Great for someone interested in LIVE service, but wayyyyy too short of time to really experience LIVE. As a long time XBOX LIVE member 90 days does zero justice. Too much to experience in short time. If you re getting this for your gamer think about springing for the 12 month version. This is great for the casual, I'm not sure I'm a gamer yet type.

The Live membership is pretty much necessary if you expect to be able to play multiplayer games online with your friends. I do like that on Xbox 1 you can piggy back with someone into some of the online games unlike 360. Great deal vs. renewing through Xbox online...especially if you stock up when they are on sale at Xmas time.

The Xbox one is non-functional without a live account and while you do get a 'trial' with the purchase of the console, it won't last and you need to get another paid card to continue playing. I like the online aspect of the One, I just don't like that I don't have a choice. That's the only thing that keeps this from a 5 star.
