New Special edition Xbox One S

A very sharp looking update to the Xbox One product line. These new Xbox One S consoles are just a fantastic upgrade over the original big and bulky Xbox One's with not just a 40% reduction in size but its even more than that when you consider that the big bulky space eating power supply is now internal and not in the way any more. On top of all that they even improved the console's technical performance moving the GPU clock speed up from I believe 853 MHz to 911 MHz which in turn also gives a good boost to the 32 MB's of embedded SRAM on the GPU itself. This performance upgrade translates to having games that sometimes would dip in performance on the original Xbox One to now hitting their planned performance level more consistently with games like Tomb Raider now sticking to a firm 30 frames per second. Throw in the added 500 GB's of additional storage on the HDD, the included Battlefield 1 (a great game) and the updated controller and its just a superior product to the original Xbox One in every way.

am so happy with this. I didn't get the Xbox One when it released last year because I wanted to wait for it to become more affordable and especially for the games on it to become more affordable. Boy, am I glad I waited! The new Xbox One S is smaller than the Xbox One and has some nice features. Besides that, I bought this baby as a great Cyber Monday bundle! Got the console, Battlefield, and a 3-month Xbox Live subscription for $212.50, making the console and Battlefield under $200. Connected this right to my Xbox Live account and got to work downloading all the games I bought for it on the Xbox Store. Took forever to update when I was first setting it up and games took a long time to download but it was worth it. The graphics are better than Xbox 360 which is, of course, great. What's also nice is if one person using the console has Xbox Live, everyone using the console has Xbox Live (while playing on that console). Some people are questioning if 500GB is enough.

I have owned just about every game console since the atari 2600. I have the ps4 and a xbox one already and like them both. I bought a xbox one s because it supports 4k video play back and I just bought a 4k tv as well. Now I have a extra console for my wife to play ESO with me too. The xbox one S is a slick console. Smaller size, better buttons on the console itself, you can stand it on its side, you get 4k with HDR support for movies on blue ray and streaming. Playstation pro does not have blue ray support. I got the new Star Trek in 4k with the console and it looks fantastic. The xbox one S is much less money then the playstation pro. The spec upgrade on ps4 pro isn't a huge jump for the price you pay. Next holiday when the xbox scorpio comes out, it will offer a worth while power upgrade to justify spending more money. Right now you get so much more bang for your buck with the xbox one s its a no brainer. You can barely get a 4k blue ray player for this price

This console is sleek and awesome! Love the color and the specs. After almost 10 months of using it, no issues whatsoever. No lag or performance problems whatsoever. Instantly turns on and loads up internet content without any delay. Seamlessly navigate between Apps and Games without any hassle

I only got the S because I got a new tv. I really like how much smaller it is. The unit I got makes a little bit of fan noise. Not enough for it to bother me. I mention this because it seems to be a very wide spread problem for this new system. The new improved controller is good too. I like how the dpad and shoulder buttons don't have that loud click any more. The HDR gaming is nice. I wasn't blown away by how gears and horizon looked any better. They already look really good. So I couldn't really see a big difference. This system is best for someone that doesn't have one yet, someone that has one that is broken,or failing or someone that can afford to just buy another system.

My boyfriend had the xbox one but sold it about 6 months ago. When i saw this new xbox s I just HAD to get it! The color alone is amazing! the details in the gaming is insane. We have only played battlefield (which the game is awesome alone) but the graphics are incredible. It feels like we're watching a movie! The features on the xbox are great! WE LOVE THAT YOU CAN WATCH 4K movies as well!!! recently just bought a 4K TV and haven't watched anything but netflix in 4K. After we found out the xbox s played 4K we bought a few movies and haven't wanted to watch any other movie since! The new 4K players go for almost 300 anyway! So this is definitely worth it!

I got it the day it came out and I love it. No complaints with it. The green color looks really nice and I really prefer it over the white Xbox because I figure it could get dirty also it's a bit unique. It doesn't over heat like my Xbox 360. The size of it is really compact as and it only has 2 cables so if I need to move it or take it somewhere it's really easy and it's not heavy. And it's literally the console and 2 cables. No power brick or whatever you'd call it. like the one that came with the Xbox 360. The graphics look amazing. Definitely worth the upgrade from the Xbox 360. It does take a long time to download the game at first though but I guess cuz it's 44 GB. You can't play every Xbox 360 game on it tho. But more than half of the ones I have you can play, but I'm okay with it.

I am glad I held off buying the Xbox One. I got this on Black Friday with a free controller. I love the 4k capability, smaller size and no power brick. I was concerned about getting a bad fan like other people have talked about. I must have gotten lucky, and got a good console first time around. It does have an odd sound if you get right up to it, but doesn't seem to affect the performance, and can't be heard from the sofa. I originally didn't want the plain white console, but regret not getting it. I like the military green, but in hindsight the 2tb console would have been better. Halo Guardians took up almost 100gb of storage. I could have gotten a skin to add something to the plain white console. I will be getting an external hard drive to add storage, also hopefully to speed up load/install times.

We finally broke down and upgraded from the WiiU and the kids LOVE it! The graphics are superb, it has a 4K blu ray player and the games are fantastic. This was a Christmas gift and is only 1 week old so we have more exploring to do with the system but from what we know now, I wish we would have purchased this 2 years ago or as soon as the 1TB version came out. Plus the military edition green looks subtle and not a bright white big object on the tv stand. Looks good, plays great and is enjoyed by all.

This console is simply amazing in every way. Starting with a included Blu-Ray player let's you simply insert any Blu-Ray disc into the game slot and watch for FREE! Also, let's you stream NFL Games download apps such as: Amazon Video, Youtube, Hulu, Netflix, and more! Also, 4K HD technology enhances graphics, making them look crystal clear and very realistic! Also includes an Xbox Wireless Controller and one month of EA Access and the full game Battlefield 1, which is an amazing game because of it's great graphics and interesting story line!

Included BF1 is great alone. Fantastic game. But the console is great. Smaller, faster, more quiet, and in a great colorway that looks better than my old XBone, this is a great device. Just wish Microsoft wasn't dumb with everything else. I only play BF1 on it really, along with some Forza. By all means, if you love Halo, Killer Instinct, Battlefield, or Gears, it's great. Other than that, I almost can't justify it. But the price was right, the thing DOES work magnificently, I just feel like I'm left out with a lot of the actual games that would make a killer app for this.

We all know what an Xbox one is, so the core list of features surrounding the Xbox one S Comes as no vast and large improvement over the other 2 Xbox ones I own. UNTIL you get to the fact that it plays 4k Blurays and supports HDR10 content on both bluray and gaming. I'll get to the 4k content in a minute, but first, id like to mention the few subtle ( and not so subtle) changes they've made that I like, and some that I dislike; Likes - smaller obviously - no bulky power brick that can't fit behind your entertainment center, or that becomes yet another item you have to hide in the tangle of wires - multiple usb inputs ( comes in handy when running external HDD and chargers or Kinect sensor) - the power button and eject buttons are just that.....BUTTONS! I had many issues with the original Xbox one's touch sensors failing - FANS......they operate a LOT quieter than the original - having the option to store the system vertically like the 360 back in the day. The included stand works well. Now for the dislikes - even though the Xbox one S DOES upconvert content to 4k resolution, it does NOT upconvert sources through the HDMI passthrough to 4k on the tv. It only up converts internal sources such as video games and Netflix/Hulu etc. I actually just went back to hooking my hd dvr directly to the tv as it looks better that way - probably the BIGGEST issue I have with the one S is the lack of DIRECT plug in for the Kinect sensor. Use of this device requires an additional $50 powered usb adapter. That being said, for a limited time Microsoft is giving these adapters away ( got mine for free) all that is required to register for it is the SN from your slim Xbox AND the SN from your Kinect sensor. The adapter works well, and while I don't use the Kinect for gaming or chat, I opted for the adapter anyways because I love the integrated voice control for my complete entertainment system. HDR gaming and bluray looks amazing on the slim, and if you're in the market for a 4k bluray player, the one S is worth the purchase almost for that alone! I got my battlefield one bundle for $249 and at that time there was no higher quality 4k bluray player on the market for less money. Overall it's a great buy to play 4k games and movies, as well as upconvert Netflix etc, but it's not a vast improvement over the original in all OTHER aspects, especially with release of the Xbox Scorpio project dated for holiday season in 2017 right around the corner.

On bestbuys website it shows only the 2 terabyte and 500 gig versions as being 4K. This one is also. Great color if your into military themed things. New style controllers and very nice. I wish it came with a disc for battlefield though, this has a download card and takes about 30 min to download on extreme road runner service.

I upgraded from the bulky black launch day version of the Xbox One. This one is smaller, better looking, has more storage, runs 4k video apps, has a 4k bluray player and has superior controllers. The military green is a lot slicker than it looks in photos and the matching controller looks fantastic as well. Highly recommended.

Got this 1 to Battlefield 1 themed console on black Friday and let me tell you, this thing is amazing! The smaller size is great and no more power brick! I would DEFINITELY RECOMEND this console. The only negative I would say is the fact they didn't include a headset, but oh well. Also 4k Blu-ray player is a great addition!

I decided to buy a xbox one s and while at the store I saw this bundle. It was a unique green color and I initially was worried that I would not like the color out of the box and on my entertainment center. But then a friend of mine bought it and I was able to see it in person. The green is a very dark all of his screen and once in the entertainment center almost appears black. It does not stick out like a sore thumb but on closer examination does give it a unique color and feel. The matching controller is also cool. The best advantage of the Xbox one s is the fact that the PowerBrick is now incorporated into the actual machine! No more huge power brick hanging out of the back of my entertainment center! I suppose I should make a comment also about battlefield one. It was a very good game and I do enjoy it's online multiplayer. It's a game I find enjoying most when I have other friends online playing it and we can form the squad. I am not really into sniping in the game very much favors those type of players.

old x1 was big junky and hot, this version is slim cooler and sleek, even better than ps4 slim and ps4 pro design, the quality of its components feels premium compare to ps4, bf1 game is a nice addition and looks awesome, only con no advantage even on main screen x1 feels clunky as always I expect a better hardware could help some serious issues on xbox navigation screen and there is no graphics advantage but a blu ray 4K player is very welcome

The main reason I upgraded to the One S was for the 4K compatibility and it delivers. Besides the 4K, the smaller console looks way better than the bulky original, and the matte military green is cool and the side stand is a plus. Also, the 1TB is essential if you want to keep at least six games on the console along with some movies and music. I had a 500 GB Xbox One before I bought the S and I regretted not getting the 1TB.
