Like the smaller footprint. Like the larger hard drive of the 1TB over the 500Gb in my ONE. Like the deletion of the power brick since the S has the power supply built-in. Like the upscaling of bluray movies to 4K. I haven't used the unit to play a regular DVD movie. Ive only played BF1 which looks, feels and moves very nicely. Never will be a fan of the MS tiles format. When compared to PS4's menus, the XBox ONE/ONE S takes 2nd place. Still give the unit 5 stars.

For those who have had the Xbox one on release, this is a great upgrade with faster start time and more data and a much sleeker design you can easily travel with it. And the best part is that you don't have to worry about a power cube because it's already built inside the system and with 4K ability who wouldn't go wrong?

Great system with awesome display for my 4k tv. Fast and quick, the game that came with it is epic and one of the main reasons I bought the system *gears of war 4* and it came with a free controller. overall if looking to join in on the xbox one generation, this is the way to start!

So far the new Xbox one isn't worth the 300 dollars I paid! It is still a One Player system for most of the games and you need a large amount of space in your hard drive to be able to play multiple games. Its rediculas that I have to download the disk to the console which takes for ever and the Data Consumption compared to the XBox 360 is also rediculas. My kids in 3 day mind you go through 300 gigs of data from Comcast. I had 2 XBox 360's hooked up before at the same time and both of them used less then half the data in almost the whole month that the XBox One uses! This pic is from the first 4 days of January which resulted in me disconnecting the XBox One and locking it up in my room! I will be purchasing a PlayStation next to see which if the two is worth keeping? If both consume the same data I'll just hook back up the two XBox 360's and my kids will just have to deal with it!!

A nice upgrade from original Xbox One

The Xbox One S is a nice upgrade from the original Xbox One. It is significantly smaller than the original and it does not have the large power brick, or any power brick for that matter. It is quiet and stays cool while playing games. I also like having a white console for a change of pace, since most consoles are black except for special edition ones. This version also supports 4K video playback via the Blu-ray player or other sources, such as streaming. This is a nice feature for those who have 4K TVs. The console in this bundle has a 1TB hard drive, which is a nice upgrade to the 500GB one in the cheaper bundles. This bundle also includes Gears of War 4, which people will like if they liked others in the series. It comes with one controller, 2 batteries for the controller, and all the needed cables, even an HDMI cable. Overall it is a good bargain for any gamers looking for a smaller Xbox One and 4K video support.

I've been a gamer since I was a kid...and I'm talking about the old Commodore 64 computers. There was a time when I got fed up with updating my PCs to catch up with gaming technology, and so I jumped into the Consoles world. My first one was the PS2. When I sold it, I had a library of about 100 games. I bought the XBox 360, and I fell in love with that machine. A couple of years ago, I the new generation was available, and the choice was a hard one. Not because I didn't want the new XBox (I always thought about getting the next XBox model when it came out). But the thing is that when both Sony and Microsoft newer machines came out, Microsoft appeared to had lost the way. The new XB1 was as massive as my old VCR, and it seemed oriented to the Multimedia fans, rather than gamers. That's why I ended up buying the PS4. A mistake. But let me be clear: I am not a teenager fanboy, or anything like it. I am a married 39 years old guy, that just happens to love videogames. Good, fun, entertaining videogames. I've made that pont clear? Good, lets continue my "story". Like I said, I bought the PS4, and I do have to say that it is a fine console. But the exclusive videogames available for it...they ended up being boring. Except for Uncharted, that is. I ended up playing games that are available for both consoles, like GTA 5. And talking about games, I should also mention that I am a fan of cars. Not just racing, but cars. With that said, the PS4 has no car games that I enjoyed. Sure, Driveclub is entertaining, but nowhere near as fun as the Forza Series. That was the main thing that I missed from my good old 360. So, a couple of months ago, the new XBox S came out. Reading all the reviews and watching several videos on the Internet, I decided that the time to sell my PS4 had arrived. And so I did. Man, what can I say? This is the XBox that Microsoft should have presented back in 2013. Period. It is everything the true succesor to the 360 should be. Have had it for two weeks now, and I absolutely love it. The size of it, the shape, everything. It's as quiet as the PS4, maybe even less. The controllers are the way they should have been from the start. I've read MANY people complaining about the XBox instalation times for video games (compared to the PS4), and they are right. But it is, by no means, a deal braker for me. Graphics comparisons? So far, I can only say that people like to post resolution numbers, and fps like they mean that much. I sincerelly cannot say that games look bad on the XB1. Have been playing Forza Horizon 2 for the last couple of weeks (and it is an "old" game), and the graphics are beautiful. To wrap things up, I've been having more fun the last couple of weeks with my XBox than during the last two years with the PS4. Again, I am not saying one is better than the other one. They are both good consoles. But I do enjoy Microsoft's machine A LOT MORE. I hope this review helps anyone with doubts about buying the XB1.

    Looks great; internet dependent

Plays great, with exceptional graphic abilities. Is small and maneuverable, not taking up much space, and has removed the power brick (which, for me, means less of a tripping hazard). So far, one single downside: the device's internet dependency keeps me from playing games for long stretches of time, due to poor internet availability. I might be able to play for a couple days then the internet goes wonky, keeping me from the machine for a day or two. This causes a real problem for when games must be downloaded or updated through the internet; I've been downloading Gears of War 4 now for two and a half weeks, and thus far it has only reached 11% downloaded. Overall, glad to have purchased it, both for its quality game-play and for providing time to read books while waiting for it to install.

Bought this as a present for my son. When he opened his present he was so excited as it was really an upgrade from his old X-Box. He loves the speed, clarity and over-all graphics. He has been playing on the game Gears of War (which came with this system) and enjoys it although he still favors sport games like Madden and current basketball games. Definitely was a great purchase!

    Awesome Game Console!

I already owned the original XBOX ONE 500GB which was about 2 years old but still worked perfectly but I wanted to try the S model to see if there was any difference in performance and have a 2nd console to use in another room. There is a slight boost in graphical performance from the previous model where the games do play smoother and look a bit better. The Wi-Fi download speeds are also noticeably faster. The controller is not cheaply made as a few reviewers commented and is actually better in a few ways such as the buttons being easier to press and better connectivity with Bluetooth. The console itself is well made and a lot smaller but does not look out of place with my other home theater components which are all black, including my PS4. It has quiet operation where the fan makes hardly any noise and produces very little heat. I was also using an external 2TB HDD on my older XBOX and there was no problem with the games being recognized by the new model. I decided to get the 1TB model with Gears of War 4 bundle because of the larger HDD and being packed with a great game. The OS data uses around 250 GB from the get-go so that leaves 750GB for games which is enough for most players but an external HDD can always be added later. I think that this is a great console for XBOX fans which should hold them over until the Scorpio is released. I don't have a 4K TV with HDR (not yet!) so I can't comment on the UHD Blu-ray performance or the game enhancement with HDR but I'm sure it will not disappoint.

This is our second Xbox One and we're really happy with them both. This one has really changed our game buying habits (more games) thanks to the larger hard drive and now we can share games across systems. The graphics are amazing and it's so much speedier than our other consoles. It also supports multiple external drives so we have one for games and a media server hard drive for movies and music. My only complaint is that Microsoft doesn't have some kind of family network option so we can all play our games on whichever xbox we want. We can share games, but once we start a game we're stuck in that room for the entirety of the game. A better media player for music would also be nice - again, this is a microsoft issue not to do with the console, console is perfect!

I love the new Xbox one S mainly because this new and improved version of the original Xbox one is not only good graphics and gaming wise but its 4K compatible to the new 4K TV's that are out now... so the gaming experience you get is much more detailed the graphics and the game play overall on my 4K tv are amazing, plus I like that it's slimmer than the original takes up less room, weighs less and looks sleeker, I purchased it in white, typically I've always gone with black as far as the color goes for my gaming consoles but this new white Xbox one s, just has this appeal to it that looks cooler than the standard black console, overall the new Xbox One S definitely worth it!
