My launch day xbox one was not reading disk but every 10th try and the software was super buggy even after factory reseting it twice. Traded it in for the 1tb one S and it is like night and day. Much smoother and better frame rates in the ui. looks excellent with my samsung 4k HDR tv. Love the subtle difference in feel on the new controller as well

Great graphics and Blue Ray is nice with my Samsung SUHD TV.

Ive had this for almost a month now and I don't even want to touch the previous version. Its lighter, thinner, it had a better cooling system (you can actually feel the air and it's still quiet!). It's better all around!!!

I love the graphics on my 4K tv and that it plays Blu-ray.

More compact, saves space. No power supply brick. Much more memory, 2 T. Performance is the same as the original Xboxone, it has 4k display capabilities. The controller is not much different than the original Xboxone, Nothing like the Elite Controller. They should have released Xboxone S instead of the original. Now they have another one being released in December 2017, Xbox Scorpio.

For xbox live gold member, I download free games each month and my Xbox One was running out of storage. I was getting tire of deleting games just to have space to download new ones. I was excited when I found out about this Xbox One S 2TB. Especially with the 4K UHD player with HDR. For the price of $399 it was feasible to pick one up since I am planning to purchase a 4k Tv this holiday. There is not much difference performance wise between my original Xbox One and my new Xbox One S except storage space of course. Another plus is that Microsoft sent me a free kinetic adapter for my new Xbox One S. But in order to get this adapter for free (including shipping) you have to own the original Xbox One, kinetic, and the Xbox One S. You will also need to register all 3 devices' serials to your xbox account. It was easy, 15 minutes chat with MS support and a week later I received the free adapter. So don't forget to get your adapter :) Another plus is the new and improved slim body style. I love it. It also comes with a vertical stand (I think only with the 2TB release version only). I would recommend it if you have $399 to spare and need more storage space like me.

Great graphics, awesome picture and one happy son. It's a win win for the whole family. Plus the white console looks sharp in the entertainment center.

I was not sure if it was going to be worth the investment. However, it ended up being better than I thought, and Microsoft sent me a free adapter for my Kinect! Everything works great and the 4k movies look amazing!

Good gaming unit. Has plenty of storage by having 2 terabits Verses the 500 gigabit Xbox One that I had before. Like the smaller box better as well.

The Xbox One has been my favorite consul to date but the new S model is what it should've been and looked like from the beginning. Just to summarize for people who are interested: 4K upscaling of games - YES 4K Blu-ray player - YES Controller range nearly doubled - YES Exchange the ugly blockiness for a sexy redesign - YES

The only real upgrades from the original xbox one is a larger internal hard drive and if you have a 4k tv, a chance to play some uhd blu ray discs

I love this upgrade for my gaming experience. It definitely pumps out cleaner graphics than my previous Xbox one. Love having 2TB of memory, it lets me play all my games without having to reinstall repeatedly.

Bought the Samsung 4K player then they announced this. Returned the Samsung and preordered the Xbox one s. 4K movies and games!

Great picture on 4K blu-rays. It was just frustrating getting them to work at first. Microsoft finally released an update to it and all is well.
