Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the Xbox One S 500GB console's 4K capabilities, graphics, and ease of use. Many appreciate its slim size and the inclusion of an extra controller, along with the picture quality and overall performance. However, some users express concerns regarding the limited storage space and the battery life of the controllers. The relatively small hard drive capacity is a recurring negative comment.

Does somewhat what I had expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally decided to upgrade my Xbox 360 into an Xbox 1 due to the fact that a game was coming out I wanted that I would no longer be able to play on my 360. I also didn't want to buy a laptop to play this particular game on so that I could use it on my TV and my desktop was too far away even for the longest HDMI cable. The graphics obviously are on par with other gaming systems and are good for the price of the system. The games work fine and all but, the interface is not nearly as easy to navigate as the 360 and earlier. Also, my Xbox Slim overheated twice so I had to go buy third party USB attachable fans to keep it cooled. To top it off, it is absolutely ridiculous that games MUST be downloaded onto the Xbox hard drive. I am not very happy with the system and have not bought any more games since the initial purchase.

Not really worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it for the 4k player. Had to dig deep to find out why it wouldn't play notmal blu-ray, some box unchecked in video settings. Why this isnt & the bluray app aren't standard is ridiculous, but it's Microsoft so what do you expect. The picture quality is great on 4k movies & bluray. Couldn't really tell a difference with gaming. If you have an xbox & need a 4k player, trade/sell your xbox & get the xbox one s. Other than that, its really not worth it.

Small solid Xbox
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Xbox one, I'm glad with this new one it is a lot smaller and allows 4K watching capabilities. Only downside is it's not worth upgrading to it if you already have an Xbox one due to it not being much different. I do like mine though!

Great console, Only one Issue...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The xbox one S is a great console. I actually prefer what MS has done with hardware to what sony's been doing but the thing that actually makes this not even worth buying? It's got not one single exclusive this year or coming. Microsoft has confirmed that there will no longer be any games only on xbox one - which makes the console kinda pointless. I bought it due to the fact that it's a cheap 4K Blu-ray player, that's it. I give it 3 stars because it does what it does well, but the no exclusives thing kinda kills the point of a console. Why buy a console for multiplats?

Another Microsoft Dud
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having had nothing but issues with previous Xbox consoles, I wanted nothing to do with X1. The only reason for making the purchase was that it made fiscal sense to pay almost the same amount for a 4K Bluray player with some more bells and whistles. As suspected, the system lags, and really isn't fun. I've also used up more than half the stock memory by installing only three games. Not impressed.

Returned, read review though.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this because it required Full HDR to get the most out of the 4K. I would recommend if your new to Xbox but not if your just upgrading from original. If your switching from PS4 it’s really hard to adapt and the updates take forever even if you have fast internet. The UI is much more time consuming if your coming from a PS4 but if your used to Xbox then I would recommend.

Like Xbox 360 Only Different
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced an Xbox 360 with a shinny new Xbox One S. So my review is not just of the Xbox One but the Xbox One in comparison to the Xbox 360. The Good The controller, the changes were not that radical but the controller has a distinctly more ergonomic design. The Meh The User interface. It is definitely a whole lot different. It is taking a little time to get accustomed to the new interface. I wouldn't say it is better or worse than the 360 interface just different. In all fairness though Microsoft does like to change stuff for the sake of changing it, i.e. MS Office, Windows 8 etc. The Bad I am not sure if it is just my console or the Xbox 1 S in general but man is it LOUD when you play a DVD on it. I mean like turn the movie up to drown out the intense whirring noise. It is so loud I think I am going to avoid using my console to play movies which is annoying because that was one of the biggest reason I bought it in the first place. In the end I am just not sure what if anything I gained with this upgrade. So far I have yet to come across anything on the One S that has left me saying man I am glad I dropped the money to upgrade to this new box.

Ok if u like Microsoft
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife got this for me for Christmas. I'm a PlayStation guy all the way but I decided to try Xbox. The interface is a little complicated for me. I love PlayStation allot better. The games are definitely great looking on it but I honestly didn't see many that I liked. All in all its an okay gaming console.

My first xbox, not blown away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok gaming system, bought for 4k player which works fine. Not crazy about having to download disc games and still no rechargeable controller's .really? Is what I kept thinking waiting hour's to play a game in have a disc for. I'm much happier with the ps4.

second best???
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to be my 4k player plus I'm a gamer (mainly ps4), so I went with it. It's not bad as a player. Does what it needs to do. As a game machine tho, it's lacking in software. Hate the UI. Probably the worst thing about it.

older gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last system I bought was a WII, so take this review for that. I was frustrated for how long sometimes it took to download a physical game I purchased (updates to get it working). I would let the machine do its thing, but would disconnect and turn off for whatever reason during the download. I am used to being able to put new game in the console and just playing it, not waiting for some download first(remember my last machine was Wii lol). It seems to have gotten better or maybe I am getting used to the wait, but this old gamer was disappointed in the disconnects (my wifi is fine, tablets and phone still had signal).

Great graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics are awesome. They make you feel like you are right there in the game. The only issue I have is that it kicks me off of my account with out notice.

Unhappy buyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The console is too complicated compare with PS4, always download first before playing game. The menu also confusing. The quality of the picture is good.

Not enough games or accessories.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary says it all. There just isn't enough content for this system. I have a diverse family that likes all different kinds of games. But the system is geared towards one type of player. 1st person shooters or fighters. Great for me, but my wife and kid not so much. Best Buy also needs to ensure it carries all accessories. We bought the motion detector, but it required a $60 adapter that Best Buy didn't carry. So we had to go to the Microsoft Store to find it. If you sell something, make sure it's compatible or that you carry the items to make it compatible.

Great System if You Don't Want A Kinect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system is great. A wide range of apps and games. The problem comes if you are interested in a kinect. The Kinect camera for the Xbox One when it first came out used an akward sized connector to plug into the system. With this new system they do not have a spot to plug in the old Kinect. Instead of making a new Kinect that plugs into this system or putting the same connection used on the old Kinect people are required to buy an adapter. So if you do not have a Kinect at all expect to buy two pieces instead of one. Kinect and Adapter.

Good system.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally I wouldn't pay this much for an Xbox (I've had to repair to many Xbox 360) so far the system has held up and the grafics are great.

Better Looks, Less Performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox One S looks a lot better than the original Xbox One, which was part of my reasoning in purchasing it. However, for whatever reason it seems to run A LOT slower than my original Xbox One. Takes longer to load games and apps and in game play frame rates seem to nose dive quite frequently. If you are looking to replace an original Xbox One S partially for looks as I was, please consider if the slower performance would downgrade your appreciation of the Xbox One.
