    It's Ok

I bought this for my son, and insisted that he really wouldn't like this game, but he had saved his money, and I met him half way. He's always enjoyed mine, though I don't play it much anymore. But he didn't play games like this before, mostly just Halo, Forza, Titanfall etc. Though he just thought it looked really cool. As I read reviews it's a love or hate title. And he's 17, so I thought, well it's ok. I offered to give him mine for a fraction of the price, but as kids go, he wouldn't listen. Bought the console, got it home, popped it out of the box. He was very psyched that is was white. So I thought maybe I had eaten my words and felt a little bad. Upon hooking it up, it was a bit slower than I remember in the updating process when I got mine. So finally after it finished, we went to make an account for my son, which took forever, because almost everything was taken that we made up. And he couldn't even remember his password for the 360, and didn't like the name (email) on it anyway. So we took some strange name they gave him. Now it's written down, and I'm hoping he doesn't lose it. I have a 1TB drive with some games on it, so I plugged it in for him to use under my name. Well, at first it wouldn't recognize the External HDD, so I plugged it into mine and it was fine. So he went ahead with the game which is over 121gb when you install the movies as well. By this time I could see him getting more and more aggravated. So sure enough after about 2 hours of game play, he asked me why he couldn't skip the cutscenes. I said that's the type of game it is, So the movie is a package deal. About another 20 minutes after that he said, Dad, I'm sorry but I really hate this game!!! I asked if he wanted to keep it, after we had to restore the system to default settings (again) to get it to recognize my HDD. He said no not really. He actually said and I quote "I really just like my old 360 better". Which was a total shock. I said ok it's your money. Took back the system, now he's aiming for a PS4 later one, when DOOM comes out. So I guess we'll see what happens. Overall the system is still slow, glitchy, takes for ever to install, and even read some discs. And just overall isn't a "great" console. 2 stars on here means fair. And that's just what it is, I'll probably end up selling mine to gamestop, and probably giving my son the store credit. Since I really don't game anymore. And he can get his PS4. Which from what I've seen, my daugthers boyfriend claims it's the holy grail of gaming. Lets hope so. Lesson learned for me. If you know something about games, please at all costs, try to reason with your teen. And don't let them decide if they like it or not. Or you'll be returning a lot of games. IMO. :)

I got this for my husband, and he is definitely a huge fan. The 500Gb is very limiting, but it is nice that you can simply expand it with an external HDD. It is a nice improvement from our old Xbox 360, although if it wasn't on sale, I'm not sure it would have been a good deal. The new interface is pretty good, although the boot times are very slow if you choose to conserve power over having it "instant on." Love the wireless controller even more than the 360, and it's nice having a good set of digital games available via backwards compatibility from prior digital purchases, as well as Games with Gold. I use it primarily for Hulu and Netflix, whereas he uses it for gaming. Overall, it meets our needs although didn't feel like a generational upgrade like going from the Xbox to the 360. It's also very slick that you can stream Xbox games to your PC, if they're on the same network. Makes it nice if someone else wants to use the TV. The Bluray player seems to be of very high quality. We recently watched Ant-Man, and even though it was just a DVD, the whole room was shaking from the sound effects, and the picture and dialog were crystal clear. I don't like that the Bluray software had to be downloaded, but at least it was free. We're excited to try out some more recent Blurays like The Martian and Star Trek: Into Darkness for the full experience! From a purely aesthetic perspective, the white is really cool!

    Over Rated System

First off this review is not a reflection of Best Buy, this a review of the Xbox One system only. I bought the Xbox One Quantum Break Bundle to replace my Playstation 3. My playstation is old and the HDMI port is wearing out. The Xbox One bundle was $299 on sale with the ability to play Xbox 360 games. Impressive selling points for the system to any buyer, that and I have heard many good things about both the 360 and the One. I cannot express how let down I am by the system. First off, the system is incredibly bulky for a "next gen" system. Its about twice the size of my playstation 3. The next let down in the fact that the controllers still take batteries!!! How stone age is that?!?! My playstation 3 has rechargeable controllers that still hold a charge for many, MANY hours. The real disappointment lies in how the system operated. It was slow to upgrade, it was slow to download the quantum break game, the "seamless" transition between apps was glitchy, the VUDU app was terrible! When playing quantum break the graphics were sub par for a "next gen" system, and having the game downloaded to the system I would expect it to run with no interruption which was not the case. The game would BUFFER!!!!!!! BUFFER!!!! I give the system 2 stars not 1 because the system actually worked and did what it was supposed to do, but what it was supposed to do was terrible. I don't understand why this systems sells as well as it does but I guess I will never understand Xbox owners. I do NOT recommend this system to be bought.

    Good Gaming Unit

I bought this unit for the color along with some games too. Once I set it up and downloaded the update I was disappointed that my 500 GB Hard Drive was already 12% used. Being that I own a PS4 also I noticed differences that were slight disappointments. First is the Large power Brick that Microsoft has not gotten rid of as of yet. Secondly the size is bigger in comparison to the PS4. Thirdly the powering up of the unit is very slow if you don't put the unit into standby mode, which will consume energy. Overall operation is a bit louder than the PS4, though the cooling vents on the XBOX ONE do allow for easy heat dissipation which I do like. I do like the overall user interface better than the PS4, which is very basic. Lastly being able on Win 10 to stream my XBOX ONE to my PC is very nice. Overall I enjoy gaming and like both systems, each has it's Pro's & Cons.

I absolutely love my new console, and the One has lots of perks. I like being able to use almost any headphones as a headset for co op, I love that it's not required I be a Gold member (even though I am... So this one doesn't totally apply to me) to use apps like Netflix, and I love that I can pump my cable through the console or watch YouTube or use Pandora. Because it's a 500GB console, however, I'm running out of room pretty quick, and an amazing Internet connection is pretty much required if you want minimal lag when playing supposed downloaded content. This is understandable, but I'd still like to be able to play the games that came with my Xbox without an Ethernet connection being needed, especially as my wifi and provider suck. Other than this, I'm pretty happy with the console. Hopefully back compat gets better, too, then I'd like it even more.

First time with Xbox (more of PC user, although did use PS2). Bought mainly to use as Blu-ray player but because of discount, getting 3 games (1 free pick up to $60)and substantial BB gift card, it was worth it. Great DVD player but takes time getting use to controller as remote; great graphics insofar the games I got (but my PC does better). If you are used to controllers, no big deal--still, would love to have a mouse to hookup to controller just for cursor movement/shooting (if anyone knows of one. . .). Instruction booklet is basically non-existent; took me a while to use controller, learn to navigate menus and get things done. Hook-up was fast. Nice that it can be used as a hub for gaming, tv, cable, etc. but I have so far kept using my smart tv built-in apps.

The Xbox one makes a great entertainment system for friends and family to come over and it looks stylish and beautiful in the living room and it's white has a shiny touch of gloss finish on the tip also very quiet. My kids love the system they play the Kinect and the parental controls are great. You can watch cable on the Xbox one. This box is a entertainment center all in one, especially the Kinect I would say it kinda works like magic? You just wave your hand and there your on Netflix and say pause and it will pause!! I highly recommend this game system to anyone especially for kids and teens and adults, I purchased the Kinect separately

My son has had a xBox ONE since they were released. I hated how big the console was, so I decided to wait it out-Microsoft always comes out with a "slim" version. Well, Best Buy came out with a bundle that I could not pass up-this xBox with a 50 in HDTV, saved over $250 if I would have bought them separately. I love the white console over the basic black, and it blows away the 360! This is only 500 GB, which is now way too small for today's games, so I will have to buy an external hard drive soon. I gave 4 stars only for the fact that this thing is HUGE, but now the xbox ONE S is out and they took care of the size issue.

After the PS3 and Xbox 360 I was Jaded. I hardly had any games on either console that could distract me from PC gaming. But the Xbox One has been great, Not only can I cast games from the Xbone to my PC or Laptop, I have fallen in love with the new titles available and upcoming titles. My favorite perks of the Xbone include; - SNAP which allows me to skype/watch youtube/ browse the web or so much more while playing games all from my TV. - Cross-Platform Play with friends who have Windows 10 Machines. - Game Streaming, I can Play the Xbone from anywhere in my house even while the TV is Occupied by others.

Basically just your normal Xbox One but it is white in color and comes in Quantum Break, and Alan Wake. Looks beautiful sitting in my entertainment system. I already own a Ps4 and a Ps3, figured I would get an Xbox One when a nice color came out. I missed out on the previous white model, decided to go with this. Works really well, got it for 299.99, so pretty cheap aswell. Gets the job done, and is a good entertainment system.

My kids wanted an Xbox console for a very long time. I had to be convinced because we already had a Wii so I didn't see the point in getting another console. Well, the difference is night and day in terms of graphics. Also, there are a lot more Xbox games that Wii. This console came with a Quantum Break and a remote. My son loved the game, but he completed it in a bout a week. He says it has variations if he did it again, but he lost interest once he completed it. We have other games, but it seems that the real fun with the Xbox is playing online with others, which comes at a price.

Bought this because the product description listed Quantum Break coming as a disc. That was a lie; it was only a digital voucher. The product description has since been changed, but I do have the screen captures from it. It's a problem for me as a collector, and the customer service to resolve this has literally been non-existent. Console is good (it's my 2nd X1) and the game was pretty good too, but the lie in the product description and lack of customer service really soured the experience.

This is the 3rd Xbox one machine I've purchased for the household and it seems much faster and so much more visibly appealing than the previous 2 black versions. Love the 2 games that it comes with and with the $299 price point I bought it at, I feel there isn't a better steal out there. I feel that the xbox has the advantage over PS4 (which I also own) in the apps area which we utilize quite a bit. FXnow is a big reason for that as my son loves to watch Simpsons with me and they stream every single episode on that app.

I currently own a black xbox one system, but when I saw this new white system I wanted it, but then I saw the bundle it came with and the price was cheaper, it was a no brainer. I bought this system set it up and was very pleased. it looked sharp and the white added an elegance to the system. the 2 games it came with was a great bonus. i added a 5 TB external hard drive to it and now this is my central gaming station. an added note, this system does not change any gameplay, it is strictly for appearances only.

The X1 is a decent system. In the 2.5 years that it has been on the market, it has gone through many changes, on the software side. The current software is now connecting X1 users to PC/Windows 10 users and Xbox 360 users. And in the near future, the possibility of cross-platforming with the PS4. I still believe that the Playstation 4 is the better system, with fewer needs for updates, and features that have been in place since day 1, that X1 is still trying to copy.

Xbox one offers much more than PlayStation. Use your Xbox one as a gaming console or whole home entertainment set up. The white color really stands out and is a great change from the all black consoles. Game line up it the best with Xbox. Controller for Xbox one is the most ergonomic controller ever made. Very easy to use and user friendly interface. Only downfall is this console is only 500 GB of storage which fills up quickly and should be 1 TB with what consoles are at nowadays.

I was looking for a console bundle that would give me the best value and by far this is it, the savings on the console and game at $279 is pretty much unbeatable. The 500 GB is enough for any light to moderate gamer and of course is expandable if your needs change. The white controller is a cool add on and the white Xbox does look better(to me). The updating at first is a pain but if you can connect to the Internet with a cable it may run faster and be a little less annoying.

Saw this deal in an email from BBY. Bought this system, came with a free game of my choosing and a $75 gift card. All for $299 plus tax. System is easy to get used to if you have had an XBox 360, graphics and sound are a great step up. This particular system came in white with a white controller, so it's a different look, next to the rest of my consoles; Very clean! Came with Quantum Break download code.

i got it mainly for exclusives such as Quantum Break, Forza, and Gears of war 4. Overall the console is good the graphics are a little weaker than the ps4 but is not always about that. The userface took me a little to get use to but it is better than the Ps4s userface. A lot more apps, and more organized. I would recommend it for hardcore and casual gamers and those looking for a console that focuses more on apps.
