Not a high end headset, but when I play pvp, my team can hear me fine, as well as I can hear them fine. So no need to spend big money on luxury headset, when this one does the job as needed.

Although it does suck that we need a device to use a headset, I really do love it. The buttons are really useful for quick muting or changing the volume, and adjusting game vs party chat volume.

This item is a nice add on for your XBOX ONE controller if you use or plan to use a headset. It gives you the ability to use a 360 headset and increases your options for wireless headset models.

I've actually purchased two of these. I use them on my xbox one with my old 360 headphones which still have a lot of life left in them. Works perfectly with my Turtle Beach X41 headphones.

Was looking for a headset for both my X1 and PS4 but didn't want to spend the money on having to buy 2 headsets. Came across a way to use the PS4 wireless headset along with the X1! It worked!

Product it's needed for Xbox one controllers if you want to use headphones while playing games but an absolute must if you want to use Xbox 360 controllers & not have to buy new headphones.

This is exactly what my son needed to upgrade his Xbox 360 headphones for use with his Xbox One. He can communicate with his friends online again!

Got a second one of these for my other Xbox One. I just plug my Tweaked Audio buds into them and I can hear everything and talk to folks and didn't need to shell out $100's on a "gaming headset"

This does exactly what I want it to do. Sound quality is great. Only gripe is my beats don't work with it.

Many of today's headsets are console specific. I have an old Turtle Beach headset for my Xbox 360. When I got the Xbox One I picked this up too. The Xbox One controller has a larger plug port and if you try to plug in your existing headset the plug's too small. This adapter allows you to plug your smaller headset plug into it and thus, allows you to use your old headsets without having to buy a new one! Not only that, you can now hear the game and chat with your friends. Here's one helpful note that I wish came with this. On the right side, there's a pic of a controller on top and a pic of a person below it. What you'll notice is that as you increase your chat volume to hear your friends, the game volume also goes up and vice versa. To eliminate this, press and hold the button with the person for a few seconds till you hear a beep. What that does is now when you raise the chat volume only that volume will increase. The chat and game volume are now separate from each other. To increase the game volume you just increase it with the button you have on your headset. I wish someone told me this beforehand! Hopefully this will help future buyers out. Microsoft should include instructions with this.

does the job but i hate how a little bit of plastic costs so much. but it is a must with headgear works great never had any problems with it.

Adds to your xbox one option of headsets especially for those that have invested in 360 models. Not quite perfect but a good offering from the folks at xbox

Needed this to get my kids turtle beach headset to work as I didn't know the headset didn't come with an adapter to hook up to 1st gen controllers

The adapter works perfectly. The only gripe I have is that the game and voice volume selection buttons (not pictured) aren't the greatest. It's hard to tell what level you have each set to and just ends up being easier to adjust it from my actual headset or in-game. Otherwise this is an excellent product if you're not wanting to spend the money for a new xbox 1 third party headset.

I purchased this as an adapter for my Turtle Beach X12 for the XBOX 360 in lieu of buying a brand new headset. I does the job of allowing you to use the headset. The issue arises with adjusting the volume between the adapter settings and the headphone's settings. It took a while to find a happy medium. The instructions provided with the device were minimal. I recommend reading/viewing videos on how to adjust the volume for your headset and adapter.

As much as I wish you were able to plug any headset into the Xbox One controller, this does the job it was made to do and I haven't had any problems.

This is great to really immerse yourself in the game. Its easy to miss how good game and TV audio can be until you plug this in and use your headphones.

This was a good adapter that helped me from having to buy a new headset when i switched to a Xbox One from the 360 (since they use different ports).

Finally an adapter to use your 360 turtle beaches on the One, absolutely made my day to find this, highly recommend it instead of buying new headphones

It plugs into your controller and a headset plugs into it...pretty simple. Having independent volume control would be better than changing the game/chat balance and redoing volume, but I guess it works. I have had headset disconnect and not be able to reconnect until I switch the controller off and on again. Not sure if it's the adapter, xbox, or the game that causes it. But it's cheap and does what it says.
