I really liked this product because it lets you hear the audio of the game and also talk to players at the same time. Also you can mute your audio and also mute the mic. Great overall product. My suggestion is to buy a headset that comes with this component already. I bought a set of Turtle Beach Titanfall Atlas Headset and I realized that they already had included this component in the package. So if you can afford a couple of extra bucks try and get a headset that has this component already included. It will save you some money.

I recently purchased and XBox One and used this device to connect the chat cable from my Turtle Beach PX5 headset to the controller. Although you can get stereo game audio through this connection as well, I have opted to connect the PX5's wireless transceiver to the XBone's optical output thus giving me the full surround-sound effect that the PX5 headset supports. The volume and chat/game balance controls on the Microsoft Stereo Headset Adapter allow me to only hear chat through the chat channel by setting the balance all the way to chat (vs a balance between chat and game).

I still don't enjoy the fact that I had to buy one of these in order to use my turtle beaches, but nonetheless I did. The adapter does exactly what it's meant to. I wish it weren't so bulky, but then again that can't be helped. Both the mute button on the adapter, and the turtle beaches themselves mute my sound so I don't have to go searching for the tiny switch in a mess of cords.

Does what it is suppose to nothing bad to say about it. Can raise and lower the volume with ease. Can mute the microphone a lot easier. Seems to drain the batteries faster when connected to the wireless controller. But that is my opinion. Don't know if others noticed that. Overall good quality item.

We bought this to go along with a Gaming Chair that our son received for Christmas. Unfortunately we had to purchase a new device. We liked going with something that plugs into a controller vice a device that breaks the sound from HDMI. Setup was easily and the chair immediately worked. At first we thought the sound was low but once the game came on the chair was popping! This is great for headphones or a gaming chair. It would be nice if this came standard with the controllers.

Would tell friends to buy - works great and was pretty cheap compare to others. Sleak design and easy to use - Best Buy always has the best products for the best prices - I would never go anywhere else. I'll be back again and again for related x box equipment and games - those are the cheapest in town also. Nothing compares. And easy to reach, also the Geek Squad is second to none.

While it's annoying that Microsoft made a design change that caused me to need this accessory, at least it works -- making my older Turtle Beach headset compatible with Xbox One. It is an interesting feature that the game sound AND the voice chat come through the Xbox One controller to your headset. If you have a wired headset, you've get less wires to connect.

I tested this with the new controllers that come with a 3.5mm as well as Astro A40s. For the standard Xbox One headset, this adds a layer of customization soundwise which is lacking in the Xbox interface. I actually bought this since you need it for third-party headsets, like my Astro A40s. Pick one up if you plan on using surround sound capable headsets. Given that, the buttons on this adapter serve no function for the Astros.

When I got my xbox one, I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going to use my turtle beach headphones I had for my 360. I thought I was going to have to buy all new headphones, when a Best Buy employee directed me to this product. This product was simple and solved my problem. I have had no issues with it. Love it

I am using this with my Bose noise canceling headphone and i throughly enjoy the experience. I am able to hear the minute details of the game and a more realistic feel. It is also a cheaper alternative for getting a gaming headset. Instead of purchasing an expensive gaming headset, you can get this and connect your existing headset or headphone and still experience a similar gaming.

I had been looking around for a low-cost way to use headphones with my Xbox One, and I came across this headset adapter at Best Buy, so I decided to give it a try. You simply plug the adapter into your Xbox One controller, then plug in a compatible headset and you are good to go! I really like the simplicity and flexibility that this small adapter provides. In addition, you can easily adjust the chat audio right from the controller. I have used wired Beats headphones, Apple earbuds, and Samsung earbuds, which have all worked well. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a way to use a headset or earbuds with your Xbox One!

I bought this to use with my Tritton headset that I originally used for my Xbox 360, and I could not have asked for a more useful item. The audio adjustments are easy and are very user friendly. There is an indicator light so I know if my mic is muted or not and overall the product is built and designed very well for how low of a price it is. 5 Stars in my opinion!

After spending the money on my wireless Turtle Bay headphones it seemed unfortunate that the port in my Xbox one controller did not match my headphone jack. Fortunately, this adapter was all I needed! This little gem works great and even adds a few options at your fingertips!

Works great, able to hook up any headset and sounds awesome. Versitile, currently using a PS4 7.1 headset on this XBox attachment! Mic doesnt work so I will have to get a Microsoft specific headset/mic, but great for playing without making noise for others in the house. Also fits the Elite controller. Doesnt feel bulky or anything!

This adapter allows me to use any headset with my Xbox controller. Works really well if I'm gaming later in the evening so I don't keep people up or if I want to watch tv or stream a movie. Able to easily adjust the volume or mute the mic if I need to.

The adapter works great. Mute, chat balance, and volume control right there at a touch of a button no need to open any menus. Also the headphone jack is 3.5mm and the adapter comes with a short 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable. I can use my current wireless headphones and still use the 2.5mm talkback cable to enable chat.

I purchased this so I could use my Xbox 360 headset on my Xbox one. I was using my Samsung earbuds, but they didn't have enough control between chat and stereo sound. This allows for a perfect balance of sound and chat. It plugs right into the controller and puts all the controls at your thumbs.
