Great addition to Xbox One

It works great, and there is very little involved in setup. Great addition to your Xbox One Gaming. The headphones provided in the box with Xbox One are usually somewhat cheap, so I'm glad this will allow me to use some decent headphones.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.One of the issues with the Xbox One is that you couldn't use your Xbox 360 surround sound headphones / microphone with the Xbox One. MS finally released an adapter to allow this. It works fine, but the adapter was actually just pulled from the MS branded Xbox One headset and packaged separately. This means it has a 3.5mm jack that is incompatible with the old 2.5mm plug on the older headsets. There is a provided pigtail adapter. Not optimal, but functional. There are also extra controls on the adapter meant to be used with the new headset since the games sounds come through the controller now, and you have to figure out the correct settings for use with the older headsets. There are no instructions for this even though the adapter is marketed for this purpose. But, if you want to use the older headset, this is the only game in town and it does work.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used many 3.5mm headphone plugs and all of them have worked flawlessly, however, the pricing loses one star for me! I know this is not in control of Best Buy but it's part of the overall product. If the pricing was around $15-20 then maybe it would be a 5 stars. Knowing that the full Xbox One headset adapter is $25 hurts it for me since they are both $25.
