Long/short. I bought this on pre-order nearly a year ago in 2017. (Scorpion edition) It's the same thing as a standard one. Just paint and a vertical stand as a bonus for pre-ordering.
It boosts everything a gamer wants. Load times, graphics, FPS, no screen tearing during fast paced games, sound, etc. etc. etc. Old games look much newer, with much smoother FPS, and no tearing. We use it hard and it doesn't slow down.
The X makes my old 2013 day one XB1 and PS4 Pro look like two dinosaurs. True 4k glory! No regrets. It bumped up our old 1080p 60" T.V quite a lot as well. Instantly noticeable. FPS was much smoother, graphics looked a lot closer to 4k. Using it with our new 4k HDR 10 set is even better!

If you are an avid gamer or a tech nerd then this is the one for you! I pre-ordered this and picked it up at midnight launch and would like to first Thank the Best Buy employees who ran a great launch and even handed out some free Xbox stuff including a backpack! I was ready for the transfer and the software that Microsoft provided enabled you to transfer all of your game data to the new Xbox One X via an external HD. The transfer took minutes instead of hours if you had to re-download all of the game data online, well done. The system is much smaller than my previous Xbox One Elite edition. The Scorpio controller looks great and I will use in the future. I am currently using my Elite controller just because I am used to playing with it and like the extra controls on the bottom. The X version launches very quickly and I haven't experienced any issues that weren't connection related. I haven't had any game freezes to date and games and apps both function great. The new COD WW II game is 4K ready and it looks great on this system. Highly Recommended.

Playing games on a 4K TV is like putting on glasses the first time.
Everything moves so smooth and there is no screen shutter on Games like Halo, Battlefield or Destiny.
Load times as at least 30% faster
Get one as soon as you can

What's not to love. 4k gaming 1tb hard drive. Love the new look and the power button is an actual button, not a capacitive touch button. The power brick is built in to the system and the whole thing is tiny in comparison to the original xbox one. It's also super quiet. I love it!

I am so pleased with the Xbox One X. It's a powerhouse machine that turns good looking games into beautiful works of art. AC Origins is stunning on the One X with an accompanying 4k tv. Dolby Atmos support is a first in the industry and very thankful it is here to match a great sound bar. It runs very cool and is very pleasant to look at. Super speedy and improved everything about the original Xbox one or the One S. The only downside is the extra adapter needed for the Kinect. Our family definitely uses in our household and just wish it was supported out of the box. Only other thing I would add is you don't need a 4k TV to take advantage of the X. It still massively improves your gaming experience on a 1080P TV. Buy it now, you won't be disappointed.

I pre ordered the Xbox One X - Scorpio Edition because I wanted a console that was comparable to a decent gaming pc. I'm not disappointed one bit by my purchase in this regard. It plays Ark stunningly and anything with a 4k texture pack is eye opening. It loads into games way before anyone else and runs so smooth. My only complaint is the 500 price tag but for everything under the hood you can't be mad about it.

I am very please with the quality of the new Xbox One X. The speed of load times are greatly improved. The games that are Xbox One X enhanced run so smoothly. I am very disappointed that they took out the Kinect Sensor plug and require you to buy an adapter to use it that will take up one of the 3 USB ports. I can't do that due to my external HDD and the microphones I use for Rock Band. Microsoft wants you to spend another $30 for that after you just spent $500 on the new X. This is my third Xbox One. I've had an OG Xbox, 3 Xbox 360's and now 3 Xbox One's and yet Microsoft refuses to do anything for me. I think that is horrible customer service and shows they really don't care about you and are only in it to make money. But over all I am happy with the new system. Now I just need to upgrade my TV to a 4K.

The gab between high end PC Gaming and consoles is being slowly eroded. I have a computer with a 1080ti graphics card but I will be buying games on this system. It plays in 4k buttery smooth. It was actually much better than I had anticipated. Playstation is obsolete now,

I have been wholely impressed by the speed, power, clarity, and minimalist size of this unit. If you have a regular Xbox One like I had I would definitely suggest requesting this as a gift. You won't regret it.

The 4k picture is stunning and the Xbox One X manages to be smaller, more quiet, and much faster than the Xbox One S despite the increased performance.
A worthwhile upgrade if you have a 4k television.

Coming from an OG Xbox One, this was a big leap in resolution and speed on loading screens. Nice compact design. Worth it for my OLED tv for the HDR mode alone. What a difference it made

the color was not what i expected i would have been fine with the solid black. it also feels like the weight of brick when you pick it up. i mainly got this project Scorpio model because the vertical stand was included. runs enhanced games a little better with a little more edge on graphics. Im not sure if its worth the upgrade so soon but forza 6 looks pretty amazing on my lower end 4k hdr Sony. would love to have a way better tv to see what it can really do. if you dont care to blow $500 get it its still a lot cheaper than a high end GPU is for a gaming pc and it performs basically just as well in my eyes when comparing forza 6 to my amd radeon vega 64

The Xbox One X is by far the most powerful gaming console out there. This is coming from a person with a high end gaming pc. Assassins Creed Origins looks and runs amazing. Gears of War 4 and Halo 5 looks stunning. Its a great system for those who want the most powerful system to run games to look great regardless if you have a 4K or 1080p TV. But it sure does look nice in 4K!

Even more compact and powerful version of the Xbox One S. Plays Ultra HDs in HDR. Only a few games made directly for 4K HDR, buy many added with a patch for the extra features.

As someone who owns an Xbox One S and the original Xbox. I can definately recommend. Of course 4K HD tv required for best use. If you can make sure HDR capable. If not then might want to stay with Xbox one S. Sure 2 years from now this will be $300 if it isn't the time for you. For me I see the difference in games big time. Gears of War & Assasins Creed stands out the most. Can't wait for more 4k games. I own a PS4 as well and the Xbox just has more to offer as a system. Glad I own both so I don't get left out from exclusives to either system. Check YouTube for the best in depth reviews before buying if in between

Awesome system to have and I was so happy when it arrived on the delivery day, I like the sleek design and the intro when you turn it on altho obviously not why I pre ordered it..I do notice it does play games smoother (over watch being my main game as of right now)..if I had to change anything about it it would've be a bigger hard drive but that can easily be overlooked..I cant wait to figure out everything it has to offer a gamer like myself..I'm hoping to get a 4k TV with hdr sometime soon so I can really see what it's capable of since I'm only on a 1080p tv

If you have a 4K tv and play on the XBox, this is the way to go. Granted, there is not a massive 4k gaming library readily available but do some research and you will see most big name games on the way will take advantage of the additional power this baby packs. The enhanced games look better than ever. The load times are so much better but I wouldnt buy it just for that, unless you are made of money. Overall, very happy with this purchase. Gaming has never looked better for me.

Extremely powerful console, yet quiet and elegantly designed. If you have a 4k TV with HDR it's quite impressive.
