||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this weather radio to make sure we get all alerts about tornados, hail and all kind of crazy stuff going down in TX. The TV weather people cover a good amount of area and many times miss our immediate area. So, I thought we were set. The radio was set up for the county we live in. Well, since than we had a very bad storm with hail and heavy rain that flooded our backyard. It was so bad, the rain was going sideways and hail dropped of the size of golf balls. TV went out (satelite is not the smartest thing), so we couldn't get news of what was going on. I was sitting and staring at my newly set up weather radio to go off and told my family to get ready for shelter if need to be. Do you know when the alert came thru? 30 minutes after the storm, when we all sat down to watch a movie, freaked us out. I already have a handcrancking weather radio for less amount. It announces child abduction very well though. But for weather, would not recommend.

I think it worked for 6 mont then died altogether.

I still have it plugged in, but can't get it to do anything. It never give us any warnings during that time, but I could press a button and hear static once in awhile to see it it worked. Now it does nothing.

Stopped working after a year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these. They worked fine for about a year, but now both of them randomly lose their settings and can’t seem to be setup again. They suck.
