Good to have, especially in Tennessee during tornado season. In case internet goes down it’s nice to have access to incoming storm threats.

Midland makes decent weather radio. Has for years. Our last one was bought around 2008-2010 time frame and finally quit working over the winter 2019-2020. I can't complain. We were actually wanting to buy another of the white model for $40, but Best Buy was out of stock. Not wanting to go too far into a Mid-western Spring without a storm radio, we opted to buy this $70 model instead. Works just like our last one, but for $30 more. I think the extra $30 must be for the AM/FM, which are old one did not have. Unfortunately, I don't believe will ever use it. Anyway, I'm satisfied. I just wished Best Buy hadn't been out of stock of the white ones. Maybe this $70 one will last twice as long and then I'll be money ahead.

Since I live near the ocean the constant marine warnings were driving me INSANE. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I can enable and disable whatever alerts I want!

With the way the weather is so unpredictable, everyone should have one of these. It really does the job and makes it easier to sleep at night, knowing you will be woken up should bad weather be heading your way. Well worth the price for added peace of mind.

This Midland product is a high-quality weather alert radio. I have it sitting on my desktop, and it provides essential safety information from NOAA.

Allows you to select your state and county for the location alerts. Also allows you to select which alerts you want on or off(don’t need hurricane alerts on in Tennessee). AN/FM radio is a nice touch as well.

Set to get alerts from the regional counties of your choice! Choose what type of alerts you want. Monthly area test can also be on alert. I’m glad this is in my home!

Great weather radio. I have no issues with reception

The unit does not have an on/off switch. Disappointed that it does not hold the settings if it is unplugged or if you are changing the batteried.

No storms yet to test functionality but setup was quick and easy.

This Midland WR400 weather radio is really nice! The reception is outstanding! Including AM and FM reception. It's very well laid out, great size, and the speaker has a nice quality. The backlit LED screen is nice and brightness is adjustable. Best Buy delivered it very fast.

Had a very old one that finally gave out...same brand. The new one is just the same but up to date technically. Works just like we need it to with very little programming.

works really well. have been finding new things that it does all of the time. I took one star off for ease of use because I think you will always need to keep the manual with it to figure out were to find everything.

Difficult to pull a strong NOAA signal but more related to my location. May have to set up a better attena.

Still early before hurricane season hits but has gone off once for a tornado warning. A little patience is needed when using and installing features

I like the NOAA alert system, we’ve had heavy rain events as well a tsunami alert. When there is any emergency weather alert, I can here the alert alarm from the other side of my house.
