This movie has aged well. First saw it 10 years ago on its initial release; if anything, it has grown even richer and funnier and sadder since then. Owen Wilson brings a dimension to this all his own. Most actors who work with Woody Allen tend to shape their performances to fit inside a preconceived notion of what it is to act in a Woody movie, but Owen doesn't do that. The right versus left tensions remain as true now as they were then -- even more so. Imagine watching this in 2011, and try picturing a future world where certain people will refuse to get vaccinated against a deadly disease while pretending to themselves they are making a political statement.

If you're in the mood for a brief history in literature in a more anecdotal and fantastically fun way this is your treat, Owen wilson loves paris (who wouldn't) and is a wonderful dreamer who hasn't let his light be completely blotted out by his impending reality. (soon to be married works in hollywood making film scripts etc) His true passion is writing and of course paris in the 1920 (the rain comes into play soon) in a remarkable turn of events he gets to travel through time and meet some of his heros great literary and artistic individuals alike if you like traveling from your couch and time travel with some excellent comedic acting (not over the top) you'll love this movie.

Great movie, sent it as a gift to a friend, it came on time and he has already watched it three times in two days. If you like time travel and Paris this is the movie for you. I suggest watching it with subtitles the first time so you can figure out the plot and then again to enjoy the great photography of Paris.

Movie is fun and in Paris. Main character, an author, gets picked up very night and is taken back in time to mingle with some of the greatest writers of the era. Your not sure if it is real or part of his imagination. A lot of symbolism to get you thinking and fully engrossed in the film.

This is truly a Woody Allen classic. A fantastical look are working your way through what is personally important for what you believe leads to a satisfying life.

I am not generally a Woody Allen fan, I find most of his movies to be whiny and boring, however I did find this movie to be very entertaining. I thought it had a great cast and really enjoyed the overall story. I would recommend to anyone, it changed my mind, at least for now, on Woody Allen.

This is another top 20 film of mine...actually, I take that back, top 10 (film ref in an Owen Wilson voice). I have watched this movie at least 200 times...okay maybe 174, but Im working on it.

This is a really great movie with an excellent cast. I really enjoy the cinematography as well.

Fun time...pleasing cinematography...strange story line...beautiful Paris

Liked the scenic shots but the movie itself was not very captivating.

For a guy I might be a bit of a sucker for romantic movies. I will qualify that, though, by saying that I am a bit picky at the same time. I did not see any of the cheese that I am always hoping to avoid. This movie felt genuine and devoid of cheese and bad acting. I know some folks may not think Owen Wilson is the best actor but he did a far better than adequate job here; a great job indeed! Though the characters did not explore a vast area of Paris, I quickly became immersed in the film and the setting of Paris. This a great couples movie or just a great movie about following your heart and your dreams and that the smart choice of whom to be with isn't always the choice right choice/ the choice that is going to make us happy.
