Item is quiet and easy to control. The filter is attached to the bottom and screws out as one piece and is not removable from the base housing. This is a new model by the manufacturer and at this time, their customer service is unfamiliar with it. On MIKO's website, THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FILTER AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL (nor on any other website). I just realized this. If I could return it, I would, but I'm outside the return window.
