Love it, I can sit for hours and just mine and mine and mine, I was made to explore the caves! A lot of reviews call it boring but I don’t see how digging up diamonds and iron can be boring! I yearn for these mines!

The game is super fun, because you can build your own things and craft, but sometimes you can't choose what the land looks like hills and stuff. Sometimes when I spawn a lot of cows or animals it goes really slow and I can't raise a farm.
Sometimes when I work with plants and crops they don't give materials. Overall it's fun because you can have your own village and I can play with my friends. - 10 year old
This game has captured my daughters attention and it's often their go to game when they have friends over to play video games.

It's Minecraft but portable on the Switch. I'm not the biggest fan, but my nephew went gaga over this. AFAIK, it's exactly the same as if you were playing on the playstation or Xbox. The fact that it can be played portable while we're out at dinner or a picnic is... well maybe not the best thing for my nephew, but we'll just set hours for when he can play and hours when he should get fresh air.

Bruh its Minecraft but on switch, good times
Will not perform as well or have extreme render distances like you might on a PC, but perfectly playable
This is Bedrock edition, so mechanics are slightly different than java for PC.

Enough has been said about how great Minecraft games are. It really is more about exploring and building then defeating enemies. This game on the Switch is great. The kids can play two player split screen (top and bottom of screen). The controls are fine using two joycons, but to play two player, you'll need a second set of joycons, or the pro controller.

The perfect gift for my 10yr old son. He loved it out the packaging and can’t stop playing.Great for a child who loves building, he has always been into legos and now the opportunity to build virtually is a new challenge that he has mastered seamlessly.Price was amazingly cheap too. Thank you Best Buy and the amazing staff at Noho store.

This is a game I avoided forever for looking childish and a bit strange, but it is quite the enjoyable experience. Akin to living in a painting, you create the world with your friends (if you wish for someone to pay for your monthly server). The main issue is if you create a large area with intricate pieces, the games fps drops and the screen stutters sometimes, making it difficult to play.
Still, it's worth a pickup, especially because its the best on the go option combined with controls that work.
One star off for awkward typing, no warning that we would have to pay additionally for servers (on top of nintendo online), and the lag issues.

Fun and creative game for all ages. You can keep things really simple and have fun, or try to dig up all of the cool enchantments, potions, etc. and locate and destroy the Ender Dragon! My whole family enjoys sharing the same world where we work together on projects and on our own.
