I bought this game for my son (7) who is a fan of Minecraft. He loves playing this game and can't wait for each episode to come out. This game puts a story into the Minecraft game which is like a choose your adventure book from years past. While I haven't played the game myself it was entertaining to watch my son make the choices in the game and solve the basic puzzles when they came up. The only drawback for kids I think is that they will have to wait for all the episodes to be released.

We installed the game right after Christmas and my son played through Episode One. He said it was really fun. Even though he had some issues reading all the options for dialog in the short amount of time it gives you. I don't think he was really too concerned about the choices he was making or didn't realize the effect on the story. Which is good for replay-ability. However, when it came time to start Episode 2, it showed as Coming Soon, as did Episodes 3-4. I know these episodes are already out, but I was unable to download them. I rebooted the console, as well as logged into the main account on the XBox One. No change. At one point I was able to go to the download page, but it stated I needed to pay the $4.99 for each episode. I ended up having to delete the entire game (game save data stayed intact) and then I was able to download Episodes 2-4 (5 isn't out yet) without issue. Seems like a lot of wasted time. I'd advise making sure you install all the episodes before you start playing.

My kids really enjoy this game, and it was fun to watch them play. It's an adventure story set in the Minecraft world, split into 5 episodes that are being released about a month apart. You must make decision, dialogue choices, and random quick time events as you follow a group of friends trying to stop a creature that will consume their world. The game is very cute, fun characters, and a clever story, but it does have some minor language (A weapon they are trying to build is called the F-Bomb) so sensitive parents may want to avoid this. Also, this is not geared to the action/adventure or open world gamers. But overall my kids love it and it makes them happy and have fun.

I'm writing this from the prospective of my 6 year old, who just happens to be a Minecraft fan. In one word....fantastic! He likes it as it reminds him of all his LEGO games, which he also loves. He enjoys solving puzzles and exploring and this is exactly what this game is about. But I do need to help him a little as it does require some reading as you go through the story. The game requires that you have an Internet connection so you can download parts 2 through 5. The disc only contains part 1 of the entire game. Parents need to be aware that there are some mild language that gets thrown around in the game. Also some of the options have timers and a younger child may not have enough time to read and make decisions.

If you are into minecraft and love building villages and playing with different characters, then this is for you. Brings a whole new level to an already great franchise. Story mode is great for ages who are beginner readers and can comprehend stories. Excellent edition to minecraft.

Bought this game for my nephew and he flipped out, he absolutely loves it! I love how creative it can be that every time you play each level, you can choose different options and that can change the whole story so it's like playing that level for the first time.

I bought this cause I knew I wanted to get all the episodes. This disc only contain episode 1, but with the disc, the other 4 episodes (out of 5) is downloadable without online purchase. Each episode isn't too long and "your" chosen character has "choices" that dictate how the story/game unfolds. Overall.. I don't think your choices really affect the eventual outcome, just how the other game characters, "react" to you. There isn't really any replayability unless your really want to go through the story again. Once is enough, but the kids and I did enjoy the episodes. Glad the cost isn't like regular games, (basically $5 or less/episode). FOr the price, the entertainment value is there. Just don't expect replayability.

Bought the new stoty Minecraft after using the original and building many worlds.bought two upgrades the story is very entretaining. Waiting for episode 5.

Cool, different way to play for Minecraft fans. Much more story based. All 3 of my kids have played Minecraft for years and they're all enjoying this game.

Purchased this for our son, who really enjoys this game and delivery type. The downloadable chapters makes for fun, continted play.

I bought this game for my son and he likes it. He loves Minecraft and this is an excellent game that goes along the same line. You get to pick from four characters at the beginning and throughout the whole game there are choices that have to be made. The choices that you make determines how the game progresses and ends. He loves playing it.

Full HD graphics. Excellent story line, but short. Awesome game to play over and over again.

The Minecraft brilliance continues. Fun, great storyline and all the addictive qualities of the online game. We got this for my seven year old on the xbox one. He is fairly good gamer but I don't feel he should have been able to finish the available 4 chapters in 2 days.

typical telltale game, decent story and preetty quick

Bought this game as my son is a huge fan of Minecraft. It's completely different than what we were used to, but not in a bad way. The interactive play is fun and can become addictive. Only problem is, it's way too easy to go through the episodes and you have to wait to download the next episode when it becomes available. Another problem was the glitch in downloading the second episode, which eventually was worked out a few days later. For the money, it's not bad.

I got this for my 6yo sons who love playing mine craft. They actually like the story line that they follow to play the game. While they enjoy the building flexibility of the original game. The story line brings a different element for them to follow and is more structured.

Good graphics, monsters, story line and easy to play.

I purchased this game for my son and daughter. They absolutely LOVE minecraft. So I also bought them for my cousins as gifts. This will be the top present This Christmas! in store pick up and the lowest price of any other store!

Go spend the 30 bucks and get them this game. My 9 yr old son really enjoys this game. Plus how the game is setup, your child gets to choose how the characters interact with the environment so it has a lot of replay value.

Great game overall. My son is addicted to the game. I wish he did not have to wait for other levels to become available. He enjoyed the game but is now waiting for the third level. Entertaining and addicting.
