This product, while extremely overpriced as most Surface products are, works as it should. I've had no problems.

i am so glad that i purchased this HDMI adapter for my Surface tablet because the display to my monitor is so much clearer

I ordered this for my Surface Pro 4 as I needed to connect to a monitor with a HDMI cable and it worked great. I also have a separate HDMI to DVI adapter which worked with this cable as well so I was able to connect to a DVI monitor using this Mini DisplayPort > HDMI adapter and also used my HDMI > DVI adapter.

I haven't used this more than a couple of times... but I don't have any complaints. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and that is saying something for this kind of hardware. I have had to fuss with other display adapters in the past and that is always so annoying. This works and that is all there is to it!

This adapter won't work if you are trying to connect the SP4 to an external monitor via HDMI if that monitor exceeds 1080p. I tried to use it with a 34" ultrawide that is 2560x1080 and it would not work. Microsoft does not provide any specs on the product, but it is a passive adapter. You need an ACTIVE mini dp to HDMI adapter to make the SP4 work properly with any external monitor that exceeds 1080p resolution. FYI, I found an active adapter online for less than twenty dollars and it works great. Otherwise, it is a solid and premium feeling product. My rating is based on the fact that it was seemingly designed for the surface line, but does not tell you it cannot exceed 1080p on that product.

I have a surface pro that I needed to connect to an external television screen for a presentation at work. I was able to go to bestbuy and pick up the Microsoft surface HDMI adaptor and was off to running an external display for a great presentation with no delays! Great accessory to have!

I needed an adapter for connecting my windows surface to the surface dock. I was able to get a great deal on this adapter since I purchased it with the surface book. I have not had any problems with it and have used it for other devices that have a Mini-DisplayPort and it worked amazing.

I recently gave up my laptop at work, and started using my personal Surface Pro 3 with a VDI. That was great until I started having to go to meetings and present on the mounted screens. I grabbed both this adapter and the VGA adapter, and carry them in my laptop bag. Very handy.

I purchased this product to plug into my service pro so I can convert my small screen to a large monitor. So easy to use and it works great. Now I can have both a small and light computer to carry around and have a full size monitor screen at home to work on with this attachment.

Surface Pro 4 is BA but has small screen so you need this to hook up to a external HD monitor

This was used for my Surface Pro 4 as I had to go from the computer to the HDMI because I wanted to hook up to a projector for a slide show that I had put together on the computer. It worked great and I recommend for anyone who is going from Surface Pro to a HDMI!

This provides a great hdmi picture, very easy to use.

This product works perfectly with the Surface Pro! I love that connection is a no-brainer, literally plug and play. I'm very happy with this purchase. I use this product to teach a class and it has exceptionally performed beyond my expectations.

Not sure if its the plug itself but sometimes when connecting to monitors, the sound volume doesn't output to the monitor. Can easily be fixed by going to device manager, disabling and then re-enabling the intel audio device driver (doing off memory not sure of actual name but close enough)

Everytime i connect my surface to the docking station i have to reboot the surface to connect to the monitors. The texhs say it is the wires that cause this. The docking station ($200) and separate $40 wires fail miserably. Not worth it

This adapter made my life way easier. Runs cool and seem less.

If you have a Surface Pro 3/4, this is a must have accessory.

I had no issues with the connector when I plug it in and projected my screen on an external monitor.

I needed a MiniDisplay to HDMI adapter for my Microsoft Surface 3. I was super excited that the adapter was not propritery. It works great not only with my Surface, but it works with other computers as well!
