I think this is the best baseball game available today. The graphics are great and the controls are excellent after you figure out all of the buttons. The only problem I have with the game is that it doesn't have a homerun derby.

i just played the demo, all i have to say is amazing! the graphics are much smoother. game play is more realistic. field play, batting stance, and pitching style is to the T detailed, no fielder, batter, or pitcher act the same. also one realy cool thing is the mid day games go into night, sun goes down, and field lights come on! if you love baseball, or even just want to play a greay baseball game, this is a must buy! this is by far the best baseball game out!!

I loved the show 08 then when I saw they came out with the show 09 I had to see how much better it could get the graphics were great and everthing but the game evenually got boring so I traded it in

This game is great when it comes to graphics. Road to the show is also fun. You can create your players walk up music, and you have to work hard if you want to be called up to the Major League. What's not so great is the online. Online updates rosters, but what it doesnt do is make the game fun. Online just glitches. The replay glitches its just not a good online experience. But other than online this games get a 4.5 out of 5.

I've been playing video games since 1981 back in the Atari/Intelevision era. This baseball game is so realistic it's just plain sick!!!. If you like video games this is a must buy. The graphics are just amazing along with the everything else this game has to offer. Never a dull moment action packed. Dude buy this game!!! would i reccomend this game you bet your life i would!! its a totally tubular game. I love this game dudes.

I downloaded both MLB 2k9 and The Show, and this one is so much better. The graphics are just amazing. The gameplay is so realistic too. Man, even the fans act like real fans do, and the commentating is so great. I love the hitting in this game. The hitting on 2k9 is too easy. You get a hit almost all the time. The Show is actually challenging to get the timing right. No question, this is the better of the two out this year.

This game is truly a great baseball experience. I am a huge baseball fan, and I must say that this game really delievers. Every single stadium is extremely realistic and all the players look realistic as well. Another great thing about this game is not only that it has fun online gaming, but on the bottom of your screen you can see game scores( if you are connected to the internet,) and when you play online you get updated team rosters so you can actually use players that are currently playing on that team. Overall, this game is definitely worth getting and very fun.

the game overall is great graphics amazing- and all those people out there that say this game is bad are people that only play halo and call of duty cause if ur athletic at all your gonna be half way decent and the only bad thing about it is if u guess location and pitch have perfect timing and perfect contact you can still pop out of ground into a double play

I have a 360 and love it but the baseball games suck for it. Bought MLB 09 and PS3 together and if I don't get another PS3 game I'll be just as happy. The game is very realistic. It's hard to score runs so far but the games are close so it is a challenge and fun at the same time. I could say more but the other reviews say it all. A must have for baseball fans.

I think this is probably the best baseball game available today. The graphics are good and you can update your rosters daily to keep up to date with real life trades and free agency. The Road to the Show can get kind of boring but the Season and online play more than make up for it.

I had high expectations for this one, but RTTS is a total and complete failure this year. The training aspect on my game doesn't work, you'll see your player walk up to the cage or to the base, but he vanishes and I have to exit and I don't get any credit. Second, the new baserunning mechanic is terrible, if you don't time your slide right, your character will stop and it takes 1-2 seconds for him to run again. When you round 2nd or 3rd the carmera rotates and if you don't rotate the stick correctly, it will cause your runner to stop or even go back. Finally, hitting is soo hard, it makes you not want to play. When you guess the pitch right, right location, in the wheelhouse with a power swing; a fly ball would be nice, all you ever get is ground outs or infield flies. I want to have authentic gaming experience as much as the next guy, but a little fun and a homerun is nice too. If you want fun stick with 08, if you want to replace your controller from throwing it down, buy 09.

With me not being a baseball fan. I actually was drawn into the game anyways. I just wanted to sit down and actually give the game a chance. I have to say it was fun, but there was some challenages. The hitting can be rough at times. Outside of that the game is pretty cool. For a person who is not a fan of baseball i actually like this game.

this game is awsome the realism is incredible and i love that fact that you can creat your own cat call i have so many filthy words everytime any filthy red sox player steps up to the plate. the only down side is the red sox player on the cover.

I played this game at my friends house and it rocks. The controls are easy to work with. It only took me 2 innings to get the hang of it. Since i have an Xbox-360, i am stuck with the 2k9 game. I wish they would make one for the Xbox-360.

love this game i cant put it down. there are alot of different things to do. Much better than anything 2k can put out. already recommended it to all my friends.

i purchased this game for my husband and he loves playen it!:) This is a great game for that person who is into playing sports!

really not much to say. Its not bad and its not awesome. the online gameplay is fun andeasy. But single player has multiple things to do but none of them are exciting

overall it is a pretty cool game other than the gliches but you just have to turn it off then back on to get rid of it. This only happens when i play the rtts. The first time i played it was hard way harder than 08

The RTTS base running controls are awful. If you let off the joystick too early your runner will stop in the middle of the base path, but if you hold the joystick down until your runner gets to the base he will continue running to the next base. Hitting is impossibly hard, and pitching is very hit and miss. More times than not the pitches do not go where the target is placed.
