For a modern American city we seem to have more than our fair share of power outages here. I use this unit to power my cable modem and wireless router so we always have internet, and no waiting for reboot or resetting configurations when the power comes back on. I also love that I can take the battery module out and travel with it, as it can recharge my cellphone multiple times when outlets are in short supply.

I originally bought this for my Power Adjustable Bed. I certainly did not want to be "stuck" in any position if the power were to go out! Little did I know that I would be taking the portable power pack out to charge whatever I wanted and wherever I wanted. You see, the main unit, where my bed and phone charger are plugged into the back, always stays plugged in and works perfectly on it's own. I had no idea that I would be removing the portable battery charger as often as I do. I use it all over the house. I even bought a second removable battery pack just in case I would need it while ithe oriiginal one was charging! And, Yes I have. This is such a unique and great product, so if you're on the fence between this one and another, do yourself a favor and get this one. I couldn't praise it any more than I have!

This removable power pack is one of the welcome features of the APC BGE50ML battery backup/surge protector. It combines the portability of a mobile charger that provides several consecutive phone charges with the ability to extend the backup time for the base unit by switching power packs when extra power packs are available.

This smaller Power backup unit is great to keep nearby to also charge my laptop and cell phones. I bought this extra battery so that while one is in the charger this one can be portable or just used to extend the time of Backup power for my modem. Before this Battery Backup, once power went down then I would lose access to my home phone, internet and TV service. Not anymore. Very good investment.

Holds power well and is nice you can power the dock and other devices. Battery has held up for over 2 years now and still holds a decent amount of charge.

Built well Functions as described no points taken off (just feedback) having such large LEDs for battery level indication seem like a power drain

I bought this to have a spare battery for my BGE50ML. I love that it is portable and small. Right after I received it, I needed to charge my phone but also needed to leave for the afternoon. Then I remembered I had this little guy. Grabbed it and a charging cable and hopped in the truck. my phone was charged before I got to my destination. This little battery measures 5" x 2 7/8'" x 1 1/8". Plenty small to throw in the back pocket or in my wife's purse.

I purchased this time along with the standing charger due to the storms we were having at the time. We had electricity off for hours, this keep us staying online by connecting my Wifi/Router charged. Wish I could have purchased more than one. After misplacing it on vacation. I can no longer find them. :-(

i got the spear battery pack so i can switch it out when i need to charge my phone on the go.Goin on three years now they still work like day one..

Purchased the whole unit about a year ago. I was just purchaseing some spare batteries so that my wife and I had spares. Great product.

I assumed the unit would work as a regular UPS - you plug it into an outlet and it will provide an uninterrupted power to a device (a security camera in my case). But the unit provides no power to the 2 output outlets while it is plugged in. You have to first unplug it (after charging it to capacity) before the output outlets are energized. There was nothing in the description here nor in the information sheet provided with the device. That doesn't work for me, hence the 3 stars.

Got this free with the UPS and it's great to have an extra, can charge more things and can swap out if you need to take one with you.
