By far the most underrated of it's genre, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans- Season One -Part One, is above and beyond what I expected. Beautiful scenery, character's you can relate to and a host of other extras make this a DVD collection worth watching over and over again.

Very good anime movie that continue with the Gundam legacy.

So, Iron Blooded Orphans is not a feel-good anime, so do not expect it to be. The gundam fights are pretty awesome, a lot, not all, but a lot of the characters you can relate to and will have you rooting for them. That being said I was a little underwhelmed with the gundam designs until the very last version in which it gained some semblance of an original identity. Also, I do prefer happy endings but this one definitely made you question various topics by the end in a way that felt real and not forced, so it gains points for that.

Firstly, I love the UC original Gundam universe, with the OG & Zeta Gundam being my favs. The story was not bad, a bit slow going. Animation was well done, but again I long for the days of the hand drawn animation from classic Gundam series, just more detail an character to it. I would still recommend this to a seasoned Gundam fan though!

Out of all the Gundam Series, I consider this one the best. Season 1 introduces you to the characters and sets the stage.

Good start to a mature series about war and children soldiers, brings an interesting take on Gundam with being set on Mars and Earth and focusing more on melee combat than firearms.

IBO is a fresh new look on the gundam series. I like the animation and action.
