I live within 40 miles of some 22 "local"channels with another 8 channels within 60 miles. I mounted the antenna outside, 35' above the ground. I lined it up with a compass towards the direction most channels broadcast from. I pick up 22 channels but one channel, 19 miles in the direction the antenna faces, goes in and out regularly and even when in fully it pixilates regularly. Another channel 38 miles away comes in crystal clear until clouds develop. The supplied amplifier gains 15 db. I definitely need more gain. I now must buy a mast mounted preamplifier or an in line amplifier of greater strength. Neither of which Best Buy sells. To be fair, I am running almost 100' of coaxial cable and splitting the signal for four TV's. Despite knowing this I was told this was the antenna I needed. I took the antenna home on the day of purchase and had my new tv delivered and installed a week later by the Geek Squad, who also confirmed my antenna choice. By the time I was able to confirm the poor results my 15 days to return it were past. I will probably try an inline amplifier of greater gain (25db) hoping to solve the issues. Last resort will be to buy an antenna ( not Mohu ) for each tv.

I haven't actually mounted this antenna to the house yet, but I tested it when it was lying on the floor next to a window in the house. It picked up nearly 75% of the channels I was expecting to get after I mount it to the roof! The picture and sound quality was perfect! I can't wait to get this antenna up on the roof...or maybe just in the attic will suffice.

    Did Not Work for me

I live in a very rural area with lots of trees, so this didn't work for me. I did not put it outside or in the attic, and it did prove to be better than most that I tried, as it pulled in more channels than the others, but just not enough and they kept fading out. I am sure it will work for others that are not completely in a rural setting as I am, or if it is put in an attic or even outside.

we are getting about 10 channels with this antenna in the 32615 zip code on our down stairs tv. cost a little more than the smaller one, which we also have upstairs tv getting the same 10 channels but it will not bring in 10 channels down stairs...so it is stronger and worth the extra money if you need more power/reach.

This has been a great investment to help our house cut the cord. Currently sitting in a window, but soon to be placed outside on roof. We dont pick up near as many channels as they say we should (reason for 4 stars), but the reception is good to great on what we do get. I am sure when we move it outside and to a higher elevation it will pick up a few more.

This antenna is adequate. If you live near a larger city with TV stations, then it works well. If you live 50-60 miles away, then it can be hit miss, depending on the weather, the trees, and how open the house is. We do have the antenna inside and I'm sure it would perform better if it were outside on the house.

We bought this antenna based on several online reviews. Glad to report they were right. Our installer chose to put the antenna in the attic due to HOA restrictions and the reception has been generally very good. There have been times when the signal gets weaker but so far, it is all right. If we get HOA permission I may move the Mohu outside where I suspect it will be even better.

Great multi directional antenna, i am getting 40 channels solid reception up from 31 with indoor Mohu version. I used https://www.antennaweb.org to find best direction for my main channels and a Tivo Roamio OTA for dvr functionality.

Purchased antenna to pick up local stations after getting tired of paying exorbitant satellite bIlls. East to install for anyone with basic tools and skills. Just hooked up old coax lines and reception has been great. You need line of sight to broadcast antennas to make this work properly.

We live in a wooded area 43 miles from the CBS and ABC broadcasting towers. During the day, at times, we get interference on CBS but it clears up at night. Not sure why that is. We get 22 channels which include all the major networks; NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS, PBS. Antenna is hardly noticaeable on the roof and was easy to install. I would give the antenna a 4.5 rating.

I replaced an indoor antenna that I used for years because I was unable to find a better one but this thing doubled my channels, I went from about 30 ish to around 60 channels and it's just mounted in my living room so I imagine if I mounted it outdoors I might pick up a few more. I was hesitant at first due to price but I have no regrets.

The reception with this antenna is among the best I've tried, so it satisfies the main reason for buying it. I've tried others but would recommend this one. I am using it indoors as I bought it in winter, plan to try it Outdoors in the spring. I only wish there were more indoor mounting hardware included with it, then I would give up five stars.

I bought this after trying a cheap one, then a mid-range one. Finally ended on this one. It does slightly better than the others even though I have it as high up in my attic as possible. Some channels come and go but when it's on, the picture is fantastic. I'm in a valley so I may be getting all I can. My only other option is to put it out higher on the roof. It all comes down to straight line signal strength.

I tried the paper thin wall mounts which work ok but this one seems to work much better. I mounted it inside my attic and got a connector to use the abandoned pay TV coax where it comes into the house. I live almost halfway between Boston, MA and Providence, RI and now get TV reception from both.

Does a decent job. I receive all the local channels from Chicago from a suburb about 20 miles out. I have it mounted outside over roof. The design avoids snow build up on it which is a plus. Mounting hardware provided is adequate for my use. Received someone else's return as a new product for my BestBuy online order. Parts were freely bouncing around in the box and item was dusty. Decided to use it anyway to avoid the effort of a return. Not the first time this happened with a BestBuy online order. BestBuy needs to put some quality control procedures and stop this practice.

I have tried the flat panel OtA antennas prior to the Mohu with partial success with mixed results. There were always one or two of the major networks that came in either in blocks or totally black. Not so with the Mohu (mostly). I mounted it first on the inside of a southwest facing window (in the direction of all the main towers located between 20 and 30 miles away). It picked up over 40 channels, although some of those came in totally black. But, everything that I was interested in was perfect. Later I moved it to lean up against the inside wall with no change in coverage. I even tried it in the basement. Down there I had to move it around to be able to receive all the main networks at the same time. It ended up on a shelf on a north facing wall with no windows. Yet it did receive all of the channels that I was most interested in. I highly recommend this product.

so far this is working pretty good. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is not perfect reception all the time. But this has been one of the better ones I have had so far. I live pretty far out in between 2 hills and lots of trees so it does well for all of that.

Suprisngly good antenna and was able to pick up more stations than the same product from amazon basics. Haven't mounted on roof/in attic yet - just threw it in a window facing the direction of the largest concentration of broadcast antennas. It does help to first run a tvfool report to get an idea were to point it.

Good for all around TV reception in the Conshohocken area. To get the lower channels though, I had to use an external amplifier. Very easy to install inside or out. In all, I am satisfied with this Item.
