Purchased antenna to pick up local stations after getting tired of paying exorbitant satellite bIlls. East to install for anyone with basic tools and skills. Just hooked up old coax lines and reception has been great. You need line of sight to broadcast antennas to make this work properly.

Originally purchased the standalone RCA amplified antenna but wasn't happy with the intermittent reception issues. Bought this antenna and receiving great HD reception and many more stations. Need to get it mounted outside. If running multiple TVs off of 1 antenna the splitter has to be installed after the amplifier. That would be the only draw back.

I reviewed half a dozen antennas before settling on this one, customer reviews and price were deciding factors. We took the leap, stopped our dish and went from there! We now have 10 channels and are satisfied- just as good a picture although I do believe bad weather does affect clarity on occasion! No never mind- saving 100$/ monthly and am thrilled!!

Despite not using a pole for height and some taller buildings nearby, it's getting both UHF and VHF very good with almost no pixeling.

I just installed in a temp/test area right outside my downstairs window and I received over 40+ channels compared to weaker indoor antenna which barely got any clear channels being about 34 miles from Chicago broadcasting stations according to online test. Planning on installing it on my roof or close to and the top of my 2 floor home. Only downside is you only get 30ft coax, not quite enough if leading it outside to the tv.

this is the first antennae i tried that i could reach to the particular station i wanted. the broadcast point is nearly 50 miles from my home and with this antennae i can clearly receive that station. It was the 3rd one i tried and the only one that could clearly receive it. Excellent device!

As Good As I Can Get

I bought this after trying a cheap one, then a mid-range one. Finally ended on this one. It does slightly better than the others even though I have it as high up in my attic as possible. Some channels come and go but when it's on, the picture is fantastic. I'm in a valley so I may be getting all I can. My only other option is to put it out higher on the roof. It all comes down to straight line signal strength.

    Defective

After reading many other reviews, I had high hopes for this antenna. I cut the cord to my local cable company more than five years ago. Since then I've turned to streaming and over the air broadcasts. I realize that my location relative to the broadcast towers is, like everyone else's relationship, unique. For years I've been using the newer leaf type indoor antennas. Depending on the station, my experience with each station ranges from great to total garbage. However, I can generally get 17 channels on a regular basis. There are a few channels that I hoped to get better reception with and a few channels outside my present reception range that I would like to get. I purchased this antenna to both increase my reception range and to increase the quality of those channels that are iffy. Unfortunately, this antenna didn't pick up any stations. After fiddling around with the pieces, parts, and positioning, I finally determined that this antenna was defective. Unfortunately, BB didn't have any replacements in store the day I returned this so I am currently relying on my old solution until a better solution presents itself. The construction of the antenna housing appears solid. It is also very lite. The box does include a 30' cable with what appears to be a weather proof connector on one end. It also comes with the mounting bracket and a signal booster that plugs into your TV. The mounting hardware was easy and quick to assemble. The signal booster seems rather useless. I did try it out with my current solution, Mohu Leaf 50, and found that it actually degraded my signal and dropped three stations. I cannot say if the booster is defective or not but I do find it interesting that even my leaf antenna works better without the booster. I am still going to pursue an external antenna. However, since this antenna isn't only slightly larger than the Leaf, I'm going to pursue a much larger solution my next time around. But, if you want something small, compact, and with all of the equipment you need then this may be a good solution for you. I simply ended up with one of the lemons.

We live in the country about 26 miles out of downtown San Antonio and nothing would receive HD channels until this antenna. I had to install it up high on my patio roof peak, but even in hill country we get most of the channels listed on the website for our area

The reception with this antenna is among the best I've tried, so it satisfies the main reason for buying it. I've tried others but would recommend this one. I am using it indoors as I bought it in winter, plan to try it Outdoors in the spring. I only wish there were more indoor mounting hardware included with it, then I would give up five stars.

Antenna is a bit expensive but it works as expected. However, not too sure I’d consider it Omni-directional. Mounted in my attic exactly as instructed, I find the need to ‘aim’ the antenna to receive reception. Possibly this would t be an issue if using the outdoor mounting method, but that wasn’t an option for my situation.

I have tried the flat panel OtA antennas prior to the Mohu with partial success with mixed results. There were always one or two of the major networks that came in either in blocks or totally black. Not so with the Mohu (mostly). I mounted it first on the inside of a southwest facing window (in the direction of all the main towers located between 20 and 30 miles away). It picked up over 40 channels, although some of those came in totally black. But, everything that I was interested in was perfect. Later I moved it to lean up against the inside wall with no change in coverage. I even tried it in the basement. Down there I had to move it around to be able to receive all the main networks at the same time. It ended up on a shelf on a north facing wall with no windows. Yet it did receive all of the channels that I was most interested in. I highly recommend this product.

I tried the paper thin wall mounts which work ok but this one seems to work much better. I mounted it inside my attic and got a connector to use the abandoned pay TV coax where it comes into the house. I live almost halfway between Boston, MA and Providence, RI and now get TV reception from both.

antenna was advertized as 75 mile range, but aparrently only for UHF and not VHF, the signal/ channels were from rochester ny 51miles, only PBS channels(4) was UHF clear channels, the other 1/2 dozen networks were VHF and could not get them at all. antenna didn't have the range for VHF, had to return MOHU antenna to best buy. if your area has UHF antenna will be ok, VHF?
