Aaron Sorkin might possible be one of the greatest screenwriters working in hollywood today, and now he's taking his first foray into the director's chair. Does he succeed? Well, the script is a little over written, and there were a few parts that could of easily been trimmed, but over all it was an engaging story with good performances. His directing style is nothing flashy or fancy, but it does get the job done, and over all I really enjoyed the film.

Molly's story is difficult to believe, however, it is based on true events with much documentation. Jessica Chastain is amazing in her role as Molly and the supporting cast is outstanding as well. The story is told in a gripping and dramatic manner with timely flashbacks and superb directing. There really is nothing that I did not like about this movie. One of the years best!

Once again Aaron Sorvino at his best. I always love good movie based on a true story and this one does not disappoint. Jessica Chastain becomes Molly Bloom and grabs your attention from the moment she is on scene. A great story and defiantly highly rewatchable. I recommend this to any poker fan or just plan movie fans

Jessica Chastain gives the performance of her career. The cameoes of actors are glorious. Director and writer Aaron Sorkin, genius behind many well-written films, has another hit on his hands. I only wish the movie’s digital copy worked with Movies Anywhere. Nevertheless, the blu-ray video and audio quality are top notch. Great movie which deserved more Oscar love.

A superb film based on real events. Jessica Chastain is extremely well cast as the Savvy operator of illegal card games who runs afoul of the law and the mob. Costner's role is also very compelling. Idris Elba adds a bit to the mix as well as a compassionate lawyer trying to help the stubborn Chastain navigate the many pitfalls she faces.

Jessica Chastain turns in a riveting portrayal of Molly Bloom, an Olympian Ski Athlete's surprising career choice. Based on fact, Molly's Olympian hopes are dashed by career ending injuries. She then develops a 12 year career of conducting some of the largest underground illegal Poker Games in the United States. A must-see tale with all sorts of twists and turns.

I am so glad that I waited to view this at home. This is a layered movie, with many different details to examine. From the dialogue to the subject matter, it really makes you think. And through it all, it is highly entertaining. Be prepared to think and don't be surprised if you are asking the screen "could that really happen." Enjoyed greatly.

It is a movie that really makes you think. You wonder how much of this is actually happening in today’s world. It was a little long in running time but the movie did move along with good writing, acting and direction. What really made the movie work for me was the fact it is based on a real person and real events.

Excellent film from start to finish. The cast and plot were great. Regret not seeing it in theaters. Blu-ray combo pack is the edition you want to get! Only issue I have is with Digital copy. Anyone else can’t claim it? It says iTunes but usually I add them to my vudu or Movies anywhere accounts. Doesn’t let me and just says re enter code.

This is the film that proves Kevin Costner can cheat on your Mom and push you way more than he should yet still find a way to be a great Dad. Also, Aaron Sorkin still thinks characters defining big words and phrases with little space in the scene makes for great dialogue. That being said, it's an enjoyable film with some solid acting throughout.

I am always a little skeptical of movies that alter current actual events, but I do see the problem with having one actor play another actor as the jerk that the actor actually is - if that makes sense. Jessica Chastain is great in the role of Molly. I love the in you face intensity that she brings to her roles. This movie is definitely worth watching.

Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba are excellent, but the real strength is the hand of Aaron Sorkin. His writing is crisp and clear and as intelligent as ever. They take some license with some story points relative to the real-life situations, but that's the norm these days in film. Highly recommend.

Interesting from start to finish. True story about Molly Bloom, driven to succeed gets involved in high stakes poker games with super wealthy. Have read interviews with her, movie holds closely to her actual story - must see. Can be watched several times to catch integral details.

I really enjoyed this movie. I generally like watching films based on true stories. Jessica Chastain is a great actress and she played Molly Bloom flawlessly. Kevin Costner is fantastic as always.

I thought this movie was very slow and not good I would not recommend it

Like a slow-burning drama, a story about a failed Olympic skier who used her brilliant mind to create a high-stakes poker game... Get it especially it is on sales for the combo pack (Blu-ray, DVD, and digital). Very satisfied with the purchase.

This is based on a true story. There is so much detail that I did take two times to watch and gather all the details mentioned in the story. Just amazing what someone can do when their mind is focused. Very interesting storyline and good acting. U can’t go wrong.

Told from Molly's perspective. It's a fast-paced, roller coaster ride of a story about going from nobody to one of the most influential and powerful people in the game of high-stakes poker. This is a story about what happens around the games, not in them.

Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba gave excellent performances in this movie based on a true story. Molly's Game kept my interest through the entire movie and made me want to watch it again. Kevin Costner's performance as Molly's father was something to see.

When Jessica Chastain took Hollywood by storm, it seemed she was destined for Oscars and legend. Years later, she makes films that further develop her acting capabilities, yet Hollywood doesn't seem to care much. This film is proof of her great acting.
