Pros: Great graphics, ability to create your own game board, using one controller for two players.
Cons: Tips/Voice gets annoying after a while, but you can turn it off in settings. When creating your own board, you can't import your own pictures if you don't have a Kinect. Can't fully customize the game rules.

I have played this on the Wii and now on the Xbox One. The game is different and has some neat things like making your own board. The game overall is the same just different graphics. The only con would be you cannot use all of the alternative rules like you can set on the Wii.

Fun game, but not close to original board version.

Fun game, but they seem to keep making changes from the original. Why is Luxury Tax $100 and not $75? Also, if you land on a property and don't have enough cash, you cannot mortgage any properties at that point to purchase it so it goes to auction.

Just like the real monopoly, only you have a set referee and banker, which mean you just focus on the game! All seriousness though, it is fun to play together with friends and family and it plays out extremely well. The online also works great. My wife and I played a few online matches and didn't run into any issues. I like the options they give you for custom rules and they also have some built in rule sets to choose from besides the standard.
My only wish:
I think it would be pretty awesome if they could find a way to incorporate some of the special board sets that they have outside of the game (ie. star wars monopoly, WoW monopoly, etc...) I understand that would require royalties separate for the video game, but I think it would make for a great opportunity and selling point :)

I like playing Monopoly and I have the game for the 360 which I like better because you can customize the rules on that version. The Xbox one version does have some cool playing features but lacks customization of original rules. The rules are the official classic version. For example if you don't have enough money to buy property you have to auction the property. The game does not allow you to mortgage property owned to buy other property if you need money. You can't put money on free parking or change the tax fees. You can on the360 version.

The monopoly game itself has great animations and graphics and is fun to play, other games included with it are ok, not so great. I would not miss if they are not in the pack

A throwback to the original board game, has different game types that mix it up and make this game even more fun than what you'd expect from this game.
Graphics are good, makes you feel like you almost are really playing the game. You can play with up to 6 players so everyone in the home can play and have some family time!

The game will allow you to use just one controller...multiple people can play using just the one...you can play against others online or against people you create (computer). So, it's for 1+ users. I'm privy to the old school board games, but this is a great alternative. It allows you to modify the rules per the version you have played before as well. I rated it a 4 only because of personal preference. It is worth a five. I will usually play a fps or rpg game...so rated it a 4. Worth the money, though!

I've always loved Monopoly, but living in an apartment with pets, it's just a mess waiting to happen. When I saw that Monopoly was available for the Xbox One, I didn't hesitate to add it to our game collection. I've enjoyed playing with my fiancé and alone with the AI (different skill levels available). And now we can actually make it through a game without the dogs crashing into the game board. You can pause games as well. We've really enjoyed building our own Monopoly boards too.

Its a nice change of pace to be able to play it on the x box and stop and start when you want to if you dont have enough time to play a whole game in one sitting. Also has different boards that are fun to play with.

My 7 year old was recently introduced to Monopoly and really enjoyed it. We have even purchased 3 different board versions aimed for younger kids. When you don't feel like pulling out the game board and setting up pieces and all that good stuff this is a nice alternative. He enjoys the animations and the fact you can totally customize the board, and even make a "living" board. You're able to play by different rules that better suit the player and speed up the games as well. But, if you happen to go all out for a long game, you're able to save it and pick up where you left off. Not having worry about losing pieces and stepping on game pieces left behind is plus too. Also don't have to worry about the sticky finger bankers too :-P

The product is overall fun to play but definitely best played with multiple people. I like the fact that you can share the same controller if you need to or each person has their own. The virtual city board was amazingly gorgeous to play on and the game has other classic boards as well as newly updated boards like the Raving Rabids (which was hilarious to play btw). I would recommend this for anyone that loves the monopoly series but has gotten tired of your kids losing the houses and hotels or missing bits of money from the bank :P

I absolutely LOVE playing this game! I've played literally every day since I bought it. It's fun to round up some friends and family to play local mode or even play with them online. The living board is awesome! I've even created my own. The one thing I would say is sort of annoying is that you can't select more than one house rule to play, but that's not really that big of a deal. The option to play with AI (artificial intelligence) opponents is also awesome.

If you've ever heard Dane Cook's stand-up bit on playing Monopoly, that pretty much sums it up. Cool graphics and animations make the 5+ hours of gameplay a little more bearable but keep in mind is still monopoly so get ready for an entire weekend of gameplay.

I like the game it is fun I would have gave it a rating of 5 but the game will not let you go bankrupt. I do not know if it is a glitch in the live version but had to quit the entire game just for me to end it when I ran out money and equity.

If you like the board game, but your kids have problems counting out the money and issues following the rules. This solves all that and you can enjoy an error free game. You can save and come back later to complete.

If you love the board game Monopoly then you will love this video game. It's a great way to play with family members or friends online or just yourself and the computer. It gives you the options to build your own board and save 6 different board games. If you start a game with family or the computer you can save it and continue later, which is a great feature. I love playing this game.
