Tried multiple cables from my computer to my 4k tv at 60hz, before purchasing and using this cable during desktop idle there was artifacting and lines throughout the screen showing up in random places, This could be anything from a faulty cable to a bad video card or TV. I had multiple cables (all stating 4k capability) and most all had this problem/effect or no signal at those settings. Bought this cable at a significant lower/sale price (would never pay full price for this cable) and problem never showed up again. Also to note the quality of the cable is very nice. Good shielding and flexibility. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. Most people might not notice the difference (most movies are locked around 24-30fps) but for user critical situation (actual 60hz and above) this cable performs flawlessly in a PC environment.

Few PC to TV issues but did make a improvement

I bought two of these one five foot and one 12 foot and one regular 5 foot Platinum. I have a Sony x850c 4k LED TV, a Denon AVR -X2300w, Roku 4 that I am using the regular 5 foot Platinum on, PS4 pro and a pc with I7 6700k and 980ti hooked from my pc to the TV with a HDMI. I updated my TV ,AVR , and made sure my pc graphics card was updated and the HDMI settings where correct on the PC. The problem I had I got a 12 foot black Platinum for my pc to TV because it was on sale for the same price as the 9 foot. When I hooked up the 12 foot cable from PC to TV I could play games on 1080p but when I switched my pc to 4k I would get a message on my TV saying no signal. I noticed the 12 foot black Platinum is directional and the the 5 foot was not. I ended up taking the 12 foot back and getting the 9 foot black Platinum. I could not find anything online to state which ones are directional. The 5 foot and 9 foot black Platinum are not labeled as directional the 12 foot is labeled as directional. I am not sure if the directional had an effect on the PC or if I got a faulty cable, but I do know the 9 foot one worked fine. I read online and the tech at BB said some people experienced issues with directional cables and devices communication or some people refer to it as a hand shake something to do with HDCP. With that said I will say once I get everything working they did make a difference in the picture. I was using another brand 18gbs cables they worked fine but I will say the monster black Platinum does have a better picture and color not dramatically but it was enuff for me to notice a difference. I took one star away for two reasons I called monster customer service multiple times and could never get a hold of anyone to try and trouble shoot the issues, the other reason is the price did they make a difference yes it did is it worth $60 more per cable that's hard to say I do think they are a little over priced and some of what you are paying for is the monster name and marketing.

I have purchased less expensive cords in the past and they failed after a short time. Not anymore! The quality of monster is without question the Best! I have some Monster HDMI cables that are over ten years old and they are still working.

Extremely high quality cable from Monster. Comparing the thickness of this cable to a stock HDMI is pretty eye opening. Only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish they would make a 6' cable - 4' was too short for me and 9' is a little long. I bought two for both of my devices and love them.

When looking for cables get the best and stay away from the rest. Yes you can tell a difference in the cable from the free ones you get with a blu ray player. Also they are stronger if at a differnt angle and won't kink like the cheap ones.

Let me be truthful here,
I purchase these HDMI cable to actually test whether a more costly HDMI is worth the money compare to other cheaper options.
By all means, these cables are built with strength. I love how these looks as well as I never worry about loose connection between the male and female ends, cable feels like they will never rip, these cable do not pinch when rolled up, sound and video quality are amazing.
comparing to other HDMI options, it works similar or just the same.
this is coming from an average person using this fo raverage things. watching tv, games, read online articles, youtube, etc. Nothing I do really pushes the limit of the television/HDMI cables.
I do run multiple 4K videos and it seems to work fine.

It does provide a quality picture, yet hard to ascertain the significant difference between manstet cables and generic brands. Nevertheless, I got it when was on sale for $40. Still a bit to costly but better than at its full price $120 which ridiculously unreasonable.

I really thought the upgrade to HDMI black Platinum wire was just a marking gimmick to get me to spend extra dollars in the store. I did not purchase the wire with my 4K TV but found the picture quality to be lacking. I went back and made this purchase and it made a world of difference in the picture. I still don't have the 4K picture as promised but I know this is a cable short coming and will be rectified as more programming is released.

Gives a better picture through the tv. If you have a 4k tv then you definitely need one of these cables. Great product but not sure it was totally worth the price

I always buy Monster Cables. Now that I have a 4K TV and a 7.1 Surround Sound System, it is even more important to have high quality cables. I think for the price, these meet my demands. Yes, still expensive for a cable, but they deliver the performance.

I bought a new t.v. on black Friday a Samsung 65" inch with Smart 4K Ultra t.v., but I had forgot to get a new cable. When I bought the new cable I couldn't believe the difference it was amazing. It brought out all the colours and the 3D pops right out at you. I would highly recommend.

With my purchase of a new UHD and a couple OC 980 ti's I found my old hdmi cables lacking. My previous 'value' hdmi cables were great for my previous 1080p setup, but fell short in the 3840x2160 60hz range. The Monster - Black Platinum Series 9' allowed me to increase the color depth and other image options in the Nvidia control panel.

I purchased this to connect my PS4 to my 49" Toshiba, which is 1080, 60hz, and it was a world of difference between the HDMI cord that came with the console and the Monster cable the letters were fuzzy and somewhat blurred along the edges but with this cord, the letters are now very crisp and clear.

Before you go buying anything labeled UHDTV, buyer beware cable/service providers only afford you limited opportunities to watch at this resolution. The cable works great but, only 5% of the time is it handling a decent UHDTV signal. Expensive system held back by garbage Optimum service provider.
